Requiem for Klop

No, MU were not a Sheffield United but it looked more like 3-0 than 2-1. We (Caicedo) brought them back to life just like in the Leicester game.

Try this: A vertical pole of height L, weight W1 rests on a disc shaped base of weight W2, diameter D on a horizontal ground. A constant force F parallel to the ground is applied on the pole at a height h from the base and the coefficient of friction of the floor is μ. Find a formula for the minimum value of the diameter D in terms of the other parameters for the pole not to fall on the ground.

If the goal is not 100% certain everyone is a suspect for dive. But it is possible - you have n't played football, you have n't passed A level applied maths.
-
No it does n't. One day I stumbled on a cat's eye while running to catch the bus and then took several steps before crashing down - spent Christmas in hospital that year.

Look this defense of ours is a joke. Things used to be the other way around last year under Potter-Lamps re. defense-attack, but now the defense is the joke of the premier.

Very soft ? Mate when you push somebody it depends on his body momentum and instantaneous centre of gravity. Stand firm on both your feet and I give you a shove - nothing happens. Be in the middle of a run and I push - you go tumbling down. Same thing on both occasions and they were pens.

F*cked up the *ss big time. Internet went haywire. Missed most of the second half then saw Madueke winning then penalty then out again. Did n't see anything. Poch out anyway.
-
I explained about Mudryk in the beginning of this thread. The fast pace of the premier makes things even worse for him.
-
Equivalent to defeat by 6-2 to any half decent premier side. Poch out - now. Was going to write this if the 2-1 stayed.

The objective in Ukraine is to defeat Russia in a conventional war, without opening other fronts. Is this impossible for NATO ? I don't buy. I believe all of NATO's arsenal shoud be thrown against the Russians. Where is the air force ? The navy ?

The Russians have n't decided yet whether to pin this on Ukraine or just let the accusation hang around as a rumour. As for targetting Ukrainian officials they are in any case doing it every day. But it looks to me certain that those so called terrrorists they have arrested is a farce. Those people are actors. No terrorist in his right mind would try to escape via the national motorways in a spotted van ! As for the real terrorists they would n't mind starting a world war. Remember WWI ? Started with one man, the duke's assassin, who was enemy of both Jugoslavia and Austria (a Croat autonomist). But for the Austrians it served as the excuse to start the war.

Moscow to Ukraine -or Belarus- by car is several hours drive. How can they tell ? I suppose some of the people in the theatre described the getaway car to the police and the chase began. So how long did that take ? 2 hours ? Can they have reached near one of the western borders ? From the part of the terrorists it was stupid to go to the national roads with a van likely to have been spotted - they had better hide inside the city. Have they found gunpowder on their hands ? But I find it hard to believe the Russians will believe the Putin story. Maybe they won't say anything against Putin, as they have n't done all these years, but they won't believe. Also the Russians are masters of confessions. I believe they themselves have n't decided yet to name Ukraine as the guilty paarty.

There is a history of terror attacks against people. First there were those that happened during war time. With those it was different. With the Blitz for example Hitler wanted to destroy the Thames docks while he also hit a bit further inside. In any case he owned up. He said we did it and we will do it again. Similar story with Amsterdam and with the A-bomb on Hiroshima. Then there were various historical rebel factions, Spain civil war, Greek communists, early Israelis against the British. Again they are known to have done such things but they owned up - with rare exceptions maybe when they did not take responsibility. Who are the ones then who do terror attacks on a permanent basis ? It is the Palestinian rejection front, Hamas, Al Qaedda and Isis, the muslim fanatics in other words. Quran -or rtheir interpretation of it- gives them the justification. So if Ukraine / allies of Ukraine were behind the Moscow terror attack I would expect them to admit it - with the whatever perverted reasoning the had to offer. The sympathy is now for Russia -hardly what Ukraine wants- but if with some crazy logic they did it why hide it ? Now is it impossible for Russia to have two enemies at the same time ? It is n't and as we have seen the ISIS-K is after Iran as well, Putin's ally. ISIS-K do not even go tactical to postpone operations against Russia-Iran-Pakistan because America is their bigger enemy. Russia's Asiatic borders are festooned with radical muzzies. In France-Belgium it is from muzzie immigrants, with Russia they are bordering as also with Turkey. Likewise I don't believe the inside job either. The Russians may have neglected the ISIS threat but it was not an inside job. Are the Russian people so naive as to believe Ukraine is responsible ? Putin says so now but it's no clue of an inside job. Putin likes to say it was Ukraine now but to prepare an inside job in order to make this claim afterwards, no.

Greece won the euro in 2004. Then an all time low under Ranieri. Georgia was a derby match if we believe the team ratings. Georgia at 1680, Greece at 1730. Add 50 pts nominal home advantage to Georgia they become equal.
-
How was 9/11 inside job ? At the time the Americans were crazy in love with the muzzies. During Clinton's lame duck period the first lady Hillary returned from some trip to Europe and upon landing on the New York airport she said "happy ramazan everybody" ! Bin Laden did n't like this of course. Too risky for Putin also to make this an inside job. Yet this kind of terrorism is not altogether new. Remember Mussolini when he bombed Corfu in 1926 ?

How could Ukraine benefit from it ? So far only Putin benefited, psychologically - he is going to step up recruitment.

I wonder if we can stop this. Last few weeks in Athens we had two explosions. It was rival discos -no terrorism- but two explosions. Also the day before, the entrance of another disco pub was riddled with bullets but no explosives were used (it was in the middle of the night, no people injured). Also the other one, in the gas station. The man was a gangster besides owining the gas station so the rival gangsters got him. He tried to enter his car, reinforced with antitank armour, the works, but the others were faster. The terrorists can be identified and distinguished from those only because they speak Arabic. Is that enough ? So far we have escaped (but not without a number of serious incidents, like the Entebbe hijack) thanks to George Papandreou (!) who initiated the Greek-Arab friendship in 1964. Later on the junta did not change this. It is being said that the photographs of junta strong man Patakos exchanging kisses with Yasir Arafat are more than the pictures of Andreas Papandreou doing the same thing in the eighties. So the Arabs know we are not really against them. But is that enough ? If they make bomb attacks in Iran, the land of the die hard muslims but considered somewhat deviant by ISIS, are we going to escape forever ?

The luckiest team won. A momentary lapse of concentration plus the Brazilians escaped the offside trap by split hairs. If Paqueta is so good can we not snatch him from West Ham ?

Mc Guire is stealing the show.

When I went to college the Greek government snatched me 10,000 drachmas = 33 euros is the conversion rate. That was for some deposit and on my first day I went up to the dean of the London university to find an angle to take the deposit back - he could n't. It was a strange law. I abandoned pure maths in the Grk university to study engineering in London. The junta government we had at the time said "since you are abandoning the Grk uni for something else it means you are probably trying to escape - so you have to leave a deposit". Today this amount of money buys ten packets of fags and this is the work of both socialist and conservative governments. 90% the work of the socialists and 10% of the conservatives - who are promising to do away with socialist taxes and then keep them in place. But strangely the only one who did something about taxes was socialist Simitis in 2002-2003. We proceeded to vote him out of office in favour of conservative Karamanlis in 2004. One year later his economics minister said "I 'm bringing all the socialist taxes back - I discovered that the socialist minister of 1994 who imposed them is a wonderful person and we were terribly wrong about him". I had some warning about this. One day I walked into the European commission's offices to enquire about something. The entrance hall and the porter's desk were empty and I saw a Christmas card open on a table and picked it up. It was from the old socialist minister to the new one saying "to Georgios my dearest of friends merry christmas - Giannos". I don't know how that find itself there - maybe post office mistake.

Here is the betting for the US election: Donald Trump - 1.90 Joe Biden - 2.40 Michelle Obama - 17.00 Robert Kennedy jr. - 23.00 Gavin Newsom - 26.00 Kamala Harris - 81.00 Gretchen Whitmer - 81.00 Dean Philips - 81.00 Nikki Haley - 81.00 plus many others at prices higher than 100.00. Trump is the favourite but Biden has shortened a little the last days. But this is n't the topic here. The topic is what are all these other names doing here ? The answer is either of the two real candidates may die, or both. Now watch this: From the seven substitutes whose names I wrote down six are democrats and one is republican - Nikki Haley the 9th (!) favourite at 81.00 ! The folks with over 100.00 I did n't bother to look up. So then -the bookies reckon- Biden is with one foot in the grave between now and November, Trump will survive !

Watched Bosnia v. Ukraine. Mudryk is a good football player but has no peripheral vision whatsoever. He denied Ukraine two easy goals after the 2-1, as Bosnia were allover the place. Can this be treated by psychotherapy ?
