Some big tranfers prove flops big time. The Greeks know of the cases of Konstantinou-Okkas-Castillo. In CFC it was Sechenko (one of my players for as long as he was in AC Milan). In those four cases it was n't a case of moving from a weak league to a stronger league either.

I don't care if scousers win league, I support Everton tomorrow It's a long shot probability but I hope Everton wins anyway and CP concludes the Hudini miracle on Monday.

Defend like Liverpool in the nursery ... Still, if it was n't for that penalty thing. A bit of luck can always give a match to a good home side. AEK Athens beat Real 1-0 once, in what was a one sided affair (they had Budraguenio those days, Sanchez, Hierro ...).

Indian man goes to the home office and requestS to change his name from "Big Rock that rolls and falls in the river". He is asked "what do you want to make it" ? SPLASH !
-
Well he is a veteran. Cech or Noyer could do better. Reminds me of Stelio Serafidis the great Greek keeper. Retired at the age of 40, played testimonial, then regular breaks his arm and returns to action and performed remarkably well again.

Schwarzer was a good soldier at the hour of need.

I sort of mixed with foreign supporters only once. In 1983 Juventus - Hamburg. The Germans were city gents and the Italians noisy but friendly. Then in 2007 we staged AC Milan - Liverpool. All I remember from that one was a scouser selling some really nice Liverpool t-shirts for 10 euro only. I walked around the city square and when I came to the same spot, the Greek fuzz had chased him away. Pity, I wanted to buy one ... The worst lot you must ever have had in London must have been the PAOK crowd from Salonika against Spurs. Come on, say it !

From 45' to 60' we did n't see the colour of the ball. Also in the first half we scored more or less against the run of the play, just when an exasparated fox news speaker said "it does n't look like Chelsea can score". Eto was unlucky to get involved. The only time it looked like Atletico had their backs against the wall was between the 1-2 and the 1-3 (!) but of course the poisonous counterattacking could not be checked.
-
I should n't be that unhappy though. It was a charge of the light brigade operation anyways. Next year we are going to "Ajax" them.

Luck ... Sometimes it's hard to define. What about the shot they had early on that struck the crossbar, the underside of it as well ? What about the Courtois save just before the pen ? All in all Atletico were not lucky, but the penalty decision was a lucky moment and fairly decisive. It was not what they desperately needed to see it through, but it most certainly did kill any hopes we had. And it was no penalty. If I gain possession and then bring you down with my body, since when is it a penalty ???

Is Chelsea The Most Hated Club In Europe?
cosmicway replied to Spike's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
The circles of anomaly dislike Chelsea, in England-continent. -
Atletico were somewhat lucky. Contemplating on it, we escaped unhurt in Madrid and they did not look like scoring either, then our problem here was supposed to be the 0-0, then we actually do make it 1-0, then concede three ! I will never go along with the penalty decision as Jose did, out of sportsmanship. They did however outplay us. The only team I ever remember who have outplayed us at the Bridge were Barcelona in the 2012 1-0 win. My danger scenarios for yesterday were a lucky early Atletico goal or a lucky very late goal. None of those came true (because the scenarios we make in football never come true).

RM appears to be rather strong fav. with the bookies, much like with the Atletico - Barcelona affair. I don't know ...

Anyone who puts the word Mourinho in his mouth must wash it with soap first.

We have lost two CLs rather unfairly, to MU, the Orebro affair and I 'm not sure about the semi against Monaco back in 00s. This one not, imho, as we needed two survival acts, three counting the one we accomplished at Vicente Calderon last week. We have lost the premiership in stupid fashion, that's for sure. Where do we go from here ? "We therefore need money, my fellow Athenians". My player of years past was not really Didier Drogba. It was Michael Essien and then Didier. Those are the types of players we 'd like to see I believe.

Here is the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mgv6oA2ZSLc Eto gains possession then your player falls. No penalty.
-
Practically the ref gave it to them. But they have a good side and may cause some problems to RM.
-
Look we have the 2-0 against PSG to talk about and the 0-0 in Madrid against today's opponents. The rest was teams like Schalke-Petrolul and we could even afford losing twice to circus clowns Basel ! It counts that we reached the stage of 4, but what we say for the premiership (i.e. diabolical misfortune) cannot be said about Europe.

This match is broadcasted live in GR as opposed to our other matches that were in firstrow only or subscription channel. The speakers are despicable bots, you never seen nothing like it.
-
That penalty never was. We have a lousy speaker here who said "there can be no doubt" but they are bots those "DT" characters. Anyway, if that did n't happen we would never get possession lose that chance and it was simply going to flow Atletico's way. If were to win this it was going to be a real this time "park the bus" situation = a miracle.
-
Atletico are a great side - helped by Santa Clauss penalty though. But it was theirs even without it.
-
I wish they do that. Will prove their undoing.
-
Never mind the equalizer, they came back strong after Torres's goal so it was always dangerous. But it can be won.
-
wide open.
