Man. City, the a**hole of the universe (gooners of the north).
-
City one down. The bookies still think City may win - 3.75 for City.

Have the Turks stoned the scousers with hash ?
-
Fiorentina 2-0. Scousers a human drama - cannot cross into the other half against semi-amateur Turks - 1-0 down now. Gad !
-
Atletico start matches with Torres ! The man was brilliand in 2003, with Demi Nikolaidis as his partner as well, but now it's 2015. Nevertheless Leverkusen are clowns and I expect them to go down by a good 3-0 in the return leg.
-
Arsenal have been like that since anyone remembers. The new pitiful losers are City. MUTD are excused because they are below par. The Scousers are also definitely below par this season.
-
If you take CFC out EPL is gone. Once upon a time Pool was winning them all. When they failed to win a championship, Villa took the european cup easy. Those were lean years for Chelsea, but now there is no overall quality. City are mickey mouse champions. At least we won it in 2012 and last year it was "one bridge to far".

Those German fools will lose 5-1 in Madrid.

thrashed !

rien ne va plus for the gooners

I wonder ... It is a form of world domination. I have first hand experience. In the 60s the Greek governments had embarked in a competition of who is sillier than the other. Among other things they infuriated LBJ. Hence a military dictatorship came about. We don't know for sure the Americans gave orders to those stupid colonels, but what we do know for sure is the Americans were 100% indifferent to what was going on (we have Nixon's statements). But amidst all that, what about the neighbouring states, those that were free of American influence ? - Albania, electric fences to prevent the Albanians from escaping, to Greece ! - Bulgaria, the same, people hiding in refrigerator vans to escape, to dictatorial Greece again ! - Jugoslavia, not exactly an idyllic place - Turkey with problems. - In the south across the sea, Libya under Kadafi ! - Egypt at war. Closest civilization was Italy of course. So the conclusion is there are some wild regimes, irrespective of American or no American presence. That of course has to be put right, or we all march towards disaster.

City are useless. I wonder if we can do better against Barcelona.

The war against terror appears to have no definite objective. In WWII it was different. The allies said "if we go through Normandy and through the Apennines in the south, Germany is done". They proved right. Here the enemy is spread thin on the ground and there is no progress being made. Also spilled into Europe. In my opinion what is needed is military action but also a giant size Marshall plan to combat poverty. We won world war II so as to start the Marshall plan and not some system of slavery (that's what the enemy wanted to do). So therefore the principle is the same now.

We don't have clashes between the two you see (rather fortunate). In Athens all the cinema theatres of Stadiou street are gone by fires started by the lefties. The apparent paradox here is that we have only one set of extremists at work and not two, it's not their existence in nature.

What happens here is that some people are potty. You just can't stop it. When I was 12-13 I read somewhere in a paper "keep Britain white graffiti in streets of London". I could n't believe. I said "how ? is that possible in England, after world war II ?". But it is possible, given that so much time has elapsed and so many things have been said. The somewhat stranger thing is that the other end of the political spectrum seldom get involved, if ever. What happens here is this: Football is a middle class activity. The lefties dislike it. When I was in college in 1976 I said one day "I 'm going to watch Arsenal v. Leeds" -Leeds had the good team then. When some leftists heard it they said to me "your habits are not relevent to the working class struggle !" So that's what happens. The leftists hate football and so only the other lot are observed in the role of troublemakers. Thatcher taught them a sharp lesson. Everybody should do the same.

ok then 6-0

Anything less than 3-0 is tantamount to defeat. What worries me is that PSG follows shortly afterwards and that's the game we oughta be approaching seriously. A possible second squad against Spurs is therefore an alternative to be considered.

Assuming there will always be the three men in black on the pitch -and it cannot become like water polo- then the requirement not to interrupt the flow of the game puts a limit on video technology. Thus after a false offside flag, you can't bring back the players and say "you stand here, you stand there, you begin your run from here". It's silly. Whenever the controversial situation is followed by dead time it's simple of course. The video ref either changes the initial decision or confirms it. When the video ref makes a real fast suggestion then situations like penalties not given but the ball being still in play, can also be put right. What will really happen is that the ref. listens to the video ref from the studio and we, the spectators, will observe nothing. But refereeing is going to be improved by an overall 80%. The associations are dragging their feet over it. (also radio journalists don't like it because the phone in programs will die and the advertising revenue). Look at this one, from 2011, ruled out as offside: Has become the inspiration of humour artists.

Burnley was one of the poorest sides that visited the Bridge this year, if not the poorest. One shot on target early in the second half - the deflection parried by Courtois. Then one more after the sending off (save by Courtois, corner kick - goal in the continuation). Chelsea's enemies were Atkinson - extremely poor finishing - Matic. Matic was a fool. Even if the other one kicked him in dead time and not during play he had no business to retaliate.
-
Diego Costa was clearly pushed. But they say the referee did not see the Burnley player using his arms. So it's not a pen when the attacker is in possession and the defender uses his elbow on him from behind to bring him down ! New theory.
-
Up until the red there was no opposition. But if you can't find the net, you are asking for it.

The ball punishes.

This joke with the refs must be ended nationwide, worldwide. We have videos all over the place plus mobile phones. The Hearst mystery goal of 1966 could n't possibly become a mystery in our time. All they have to do is decide about the hierarchy of decision making so mistakes are corrected and the flow of play is not interrupted.
-
Burnley could n't string two passes. It was getting dangerous as time passed - because they score a fluke and there is no time left - but I could n't figure what on earth they could do to come back. Matic solved that mystery.
