The Peter Cushing-Christopher Lee scenarios:
- 0-1 down, all out to equalize, hit the cross bar 25 times, then 0-2 Liverpool style.
- 1-0 up, they get equalizer in the 87th minute.
The three historical upsides of Greece: Panionios - AEK 3-2 in 1960 Ethnikos Piraeus - Panathinaikos 4-2 in 1962 Panionios - Panathinaikos 2-1 in 1966 The last one sparked political crisis with the Panathinaikos manager Stephan Bobeck accused of disseminating communist propaganda (of all things) to the players and hence make them lose. It was however one team involved. In our case we need two together !
I dispute that under Jose we systematically fail to impress. Against Liverpool 2-1 at home, City 1-0 away, Arsenal 6-0 we played fantastic. Against PSG they were strange games. A bad game in Paris from both and a lucky (for them) 3-1 result then in the replay we did have possession but never looked like scoring more than we did. You can say that the rest of the opposition this year did not more or less amount to much to merit discussion (Schalke ? Petrolul ?). Parked bus performances were against Atletico first leg and Man Utd early in the season. Sunday's match against the scousers does n't really count in that respet because we played caution.
The bookies feel certain about Bayern. The home win is only 1.70 (which of course includes the possibility of 1-0 and extra time). The Chelsea win at 2.30 looks more reasonably priced.
It was over. I told you if we don't win there I 'll be the king of Samoah, unawares of the Sunderland result and any possibility of playing unmotivated. Many things went wrong but it was Bah's slice = one championship.
How can you ruin football by winning ?? I mean alright I 've seen teams in pre-prehistoric times with the old rules doing that plus picking up fights every two minutes, so we were saying "football is ruined". But how does CFC compare to that when playing defensively ??
