Cahill hit with unprovoked slander from former Stoke City defender

Ha. Like our Alefantos - the Greek manager-"legend". That one played for a small team in 1961 that saw the first division only once. Lost 8-0 and 10-1 to the big teams, Olympiakos-AEK that year then vanished again. Nowadays he appears on tv and criticizes everyone. From Johan Cruyff to the pope. Here he talks about United and Pogba: -
Conte obviously looks forward to a team with the Juventus standard. Juve minus their less than sparkling performance in the final had a fantastic champions league. The way we played last year, we can do a little better than City but that's about it.

Sergio Ramos today after he was touched by Cuadrado:

The fail of the year was Mou's UTD imho, then Wenger.

That's because the cup goes where the money goes. English clubs are playing second fiddle. Some semblance of effort from City I must admit, while Spuds-Arsene are pathetic. The romantic days are gone. In the sixties it was Real-Inter again but also Celtic had a squeak. Those years the Italians had the money. In 1965 they failed to bring Pele. Santos were asking for the record fee of 500,000 sterling and it was too much. 300,000 the Italians were prepared to give but not 500,000 ! If the Bosman law was to be reversed, only then will you see competition. But this has to be done by international agreements. If Brexit was to do something unilaterally, it will be useless and the English teams will be able to reach as far as the second preliminary of August. But if this is done it will be unfair to the players and limit their chances to make professional careers. For my country Greece the system works in catastrophic ways. The biggest Greek players ever were Mavros-Nestoridis-Domazos-Linoxylakis-Loukanidis and some others. Nowadays there are websites dedicated to them, streets named after and so on. But in today's world you would hear something like this: "that Nestoridis of AC Roma played for Greece for six months did n't he ? was it in AEK Aten or Panathinaikos, can't remember that !". That's for certain, if those players were modern day players. The last of the giants was Demis Nikolaidis who in the end moved to Atletico Madrid. So Greek teams reached out to say 50% of the top of Europe some 15 years ago, now they are back to 0.5% ! I can't decide. For the players it is loss of freedom, loss of incentives. For European football as a whole it concentrates power in two or three places.

Diego was pissed with an opponent against L'pool, from Ramos it was calculated. The only similarity is the trial by video.
-
I don't know about that. Could he ? Certainly he was a flop here but then played very well for the Italian team. But he is not the player of some Bologna or some Lanerossi in Italy ! He is a champions league finalist now and we are a team who when last seen went out to little PSG in February 2016.

Roman ?

Coward to what ? It was not a boxing game if I 'm not mistaken.
-
It was a yellow for Ramos for doing a Moses. I don't think Cuadrado could make the difference in this match, let alone turn around a 3-1 Real lead in the 70th minute ! Tall order. Not even Giroud can do that ! I don't recall Juve making any serious move either, from Cuadrado's side or from the left. After the equalizer their next move was in the 86th minute, the glancing header.
-
We 're talking about the incident. When Cuadrado came in it was all over. Not that he could have changed things but the tv commentator said he should have been brought in early in the second half, when it was 1-1.
-
It was a cheat. TV showed a replay as well in case he kicked Ramos in the heels. He did n't.
-
Sad for Juve but they were outplayed. Cuadrado's sending off was a cheat by Ramos !! If Ramos is not punished by UEFA -post match, like Diego last year- it's going to be a scandal. Ronaldo was superb of course and Kroos. From Juve Iguain was useless. Only the first 10 minutes and the equalizer from Juve.

Ramsay claims victim as Greece's oldest statesman Constantine Mitsotakis died early this morning.
-
If we dominate all possession what sort of big teams can they be ? Where it gets desperate it will be RM and co though.
-
I don't mean "luck" like them missing two penalties. But things panned out for us the way we wanted and they did play a good game.
-
We played against Arsenal when they found their form of the season. Spurs too in the semi but we had luck on our side. We just failed to turn it around after an appalling start and I wonder what people would be writing here if we had won. Granted that to face the likes of Madrid, Juve and Barca next season we need some big jobs. Otherwise forget it. We may do a little better than Spurs who went down unceremoniously to the likes of Monaco and MU who sh*tted in their pants against Celta de Vigo. Re. English opposition I have no reasons to worry.

The two goals scored by Arsenal were straight out of the dark ages. In the first everybody stops and wave their hands in the air like the Hare Krishna boys do. Sanchez nips in and he says thank you very much. In the second there are three men (Luiz-Alonso-Kante) who let Ramsay come though and score with ease. Arsenal made some better moves than those two. In the early minutes of the match I 'm sure that our players did n't expect the gooners to press and show that much speed. They believed they were playing against a better version of Sunderland. Then I watched Moses dive in replay many times. Not only did he have a good chance to shoot but it was amateur behaviour, the stuff you might expect in a South Pacific league. Leicester's Vardy last year when sent off did at least make a better effort and Oscar way back in 2014 against Southampton.
-
Yeah, in our last match, I forgot. They too were awarded their first goal but they did outplay us.
-
We could have been finished in the first 25 minutes. But after that we dominated the match and it looked like the 4-2 against Spurs more than it did look like the 0-2 at WHL. Pedro was unlucky twice and their keeper made fantastic saves. They too had some more chances but that was because we were reduced to 10 and we were leaving gaps - calculated risk. They were extremely luck to score their second, three passes found their target with 100% accuracy. Why could n't that happen to us ? We were going to win with 10 men and inside the 90 minutes if it was n't for that. Overall Moses gifted it to them. Few teams managed to somewhat outplay Chelsea this year. L'pool, Spurs and Arsenal yesterday.
-
Ok, but ... Diego + ball skills = Didier Drogba. It means big money so let's hope. There are many players adored all over the world. Nacho Scoco from Argentine was one. But not good enough for Sunderland I 'm afraid. Hero in Greece only. So it's not easy to have Chelsea caliber.
-
Only Real and Juve play better. Barca also but they are erratic now. Bayern play against amateurs in Germany and if you were an Atletico fan you 'd be cursing them real bad. Today's game was decided by two factors. One was Arsenal were running like motors (medicines perhaps ? I don't know). The other was the Moses incident.
