Some of you ppl are crazy. Even a terminal cancer patient who dies from covid complications is covid. What else can it be ? But as such a patient probably has only a few months to live anyway and these cases are infrequent, its acedemic to talk about it. This man crazy as he was was in perfect health ten days ago and the virus killed him. Now I read that his doctor was Chris Zoupas, a famous diabetologist and former basket ball legend. Zoupas says he was trying for months to convince him to get vaccinated but he was evading him. He also says that he and his friends were laughing at the virus and were not taking precautions.

He was diabetic but sure enough he died from it. People with underlying health problems are always more vulnerable. You could say this thing about our former minister of health (dr Kremastinos) who had terminal cancer and covid at the same time and died last year. Could n't have escaped either way, but not Trangas. It was his own foolishness theat killed him.

The leader of the antivaxers in Greece just died from covid. I posted about it some weeks ago when he was taken ill. The virus caused him heart attack, pulmonary stroke, kidney failure and killed him. Journalist George Trangas had formed his own antivax party with various personalities from the populist right. I knew this man. Visited him in his newspaper in 1986 after the Chernobyl disaster and we talked about the possible causes. He said to me that it was probably what I thought it was but it was not Gorbatchev's fault. He believed the new then general secretary of the Soviet communist party was a good man who was trying to make things better for the world and it was stupid officials to blame for the disaster. But a few years later he became crazy, infected by populist ideas.

Stage of 8: Bayern - City - Ajax - CFC - Atletico - Villareal - Pool - Madrid
-
Tuchel proves the wiser (again !). He had the balls dipped in ice.
-
I don't know if we are going to draw Bayern but they were sh*te today against Mainz (2-1 in the end).
-
We won but horrible.
-
I don't expect us not to win this one. Bayern meanwhile are playing sh*t against Mainz (1-1 after 70 mins).
-
Scandalous gift pen for City against Wolves.
-
Lille 75-25 RM 60-40 Ajax 55-45 Bayern 30-70 If we play like yesterday or like against United it's 0-100 all four.
-
Madrid I forgot. Medium strong like Ajax imho.
-
Ajax are easy ... They 're not. Unless you feel too uncofortable to back an eventual winner other than Chelsea, put some money on them.
-
Ajax is not great at all. Lille is the beatable one. Since we cannot be drawn against City-Pool or Juve, it's 1/4 of a possibility strong opponent (Bayern), 1/4 medium strong (Ajax) and 2/4 theoretically easy (Lille, Atalanta or Villareal). If we finished first it would be 1/7 possibility of strong opponent (PSG), 1/7, medium strong (Inter) and 2/7 theoretically easy (Benfica etc). Maybe I 'm doing injustice to Atletico and Atalanta if I call them theoretically easy but it's more or less like that. So it's not the end of the world draw wise. The question is are we going to play football this time or not.

There was absolutely no defense yesterday. Kepa had to make 3 Banks saves. It's a rare spectacle with Chelsea and it was n't something like the WBA situation of the last year - we were lucky to go one ahead in the first minute of the match ! When it was still 1-0, they made two identical breaks from the right wing in the space of one minute. No cover in our left whatsoever. One ended in miskick by their forward, the other was a Kepa save. When it was 2-2, 3-2 -the last 25 mins- we were just as shaky in the back. Tuchel clearly underestimated the opponent by fielding such a squad - he thought they were something like PAOK. Then it was too late. We were 2-1 down so his substitutions were all attackers. In any case we are going through a wall.
-
Juventus was many many miles better than it is now, Shakhtar miles better and we were not as strong as we are supposed to be now. I don't know if we can win this champions league (certainly not in our present form) but let's cross our fingers Pep and pool get destroyed.
-
It was and we play against Lille next. Juve - PSG Chelsea - Lille
-
Yeah, but should have been 6-3 to Zenit. Tuchel played minus defense for 90 minutes. Banks save from Kepa as well !
-
It was Tuchel who lost this match !
-
There are four classy opponents. Bayern-City-L'pool (somewhat)-PSG (somewhat). But also don't underestimate Ajax.
-
You mean PSG if we finish top. Inter also.
-
It's the time of the Christmas wall. I can remember umpteen seasons where the same thing happened. Two managers sacked (Mourinho-Lamps). Antonio also ? The Soviet team is not harmless imho and it's going to be a feather in their cap if they beat Chelsea.

Lukaku is good inside the box. If 10 chances fall to Werner may expect 1 goal. If the same chances fall to Pulisic we may expect 4. If they fall to Lukaku we expect 8. By "chances" I mean like the sitter missed by Barkley against Burnley. He just did n't find anything the last twice. Today the match was lost by the defence and surprisingly by Mendy.

Greek antivax champion down with corona. We are talking about George Trangas who even formed his own party to contest the general election in 1923: https://www.tanea.gr/2021/12/01/politics/giorgos-tragkas-thetikos-ston-koronaio-o-dimosiografos/ But it's not only about the vaccines with him. Before the vaccine he had coined up the word "koroido-ios" meaning "suckers-virus" in which the koroido (=sucker) sort of rhymes with corona. If you are forced to take a taxi cab in Athens and it's early in the morning you will suffer during the entire trip as his radio program is the favourite of the cabbies. Now he is in hospital.
-
West Ham are always dangerous but no great stuff. City beat them rather easily.
-
But he did n't because he broke his leg. If my memory does n't fail me Stan Bowles was the number 9 those years.
