A 27 year old world class striker to a 23 year old world class winger and potential ballon d'Or winner? Hazard already has more individual honors in his short career than Cavani in his entire career. It's not even an option. Besides, the Costa deal seems as good as done.

Not true. I don't even have the book, I just read part of it from my friend's laptop. Read my comments even after the game. Nothing but praise for the team, the support and I said Mourinho's done a good job this season. Then I wake up early in the morning, listen to the press conference and he's criticizing Hazard and defending himself (his trophy drought), I thought, WTF? Then it all started to sink in for me. His behaviour since the start of the season and so on and his new found trait of completely absolving himself from criticism and publicly criticizing his players. This Hazard thing is not an isolated incident, unless we choose to deceive ourselves. I respect him and his record but respect is were it ends for me. He said we should judge him for what he does in his second spell and not past achievements and that's what I'm going to do. Maybe it's just a temporary thing and the mini trophy drought has gotten to him. But that's not an excuse. Anyway, bro, I'm not even going to get into this anymore. It's fine.

Are you threatening violence now? You threaten violence here then threaten me via message for having an opinion. You truly are pathetic and infantile. Or are you one of those CFC headhunters, because your kind caused more damage to the football club than any so-called glory-hunter could ever do. At least they buy merchandise. The fact that you can't or refuse to argue and state your case like a mature human being says a lot about you. Just don't bother replying to my posts if you have nothing of substance to add.
-
Take your pills and chill out. You sound like you're about to have a heart attack. You seem pretty upset that someone fairly criticizes Mourinho's behaviour. I have said absolutely nothing about Mourinho until now. Read my comments after the Atletico game. So Mourinho's attitude is not my cup of tea, big deal. He has turned from a funny, witty and clever guy to something I won't even bother typing here. He is not my favourite CFC manager. I respect him for his past achievements at the football club, but I don't have to worship at his alter or swallow up everything he says.
-
No, just no. This isn't Hazard FC either. Mourinho should shut his mouth for 5 seconds and stop letting the press treat him like a cheap whore. They don't really like him, though they pretend otherwise. Hazard should also shut it a little or at least be more media savvy when dealing with the French press vultures. Unless you're being sarcastic of course

I know some Chelsea fans, elderly ones, who never wanted Mourinho back in the first place because of his behaviour. He is a tremendously popular manager at the club and rightly so. I chose to ignore all the stuff at Madrid and treat his behaviour there as an anomaly. Madrid is a merry-go-round of managers right? But the facts are facts. He fell out with almost all his players at Madrid. He is hated in Spain. He is hated in Italy, and now he is hated in England. There are ways of being a great manager without being a complete dick about it. Look at Ancelotti. I had reservations about him coming back to manage this Chelsea. For one, this is a team built on flair and technically gifted players, not workhorses, "functional" players, robots and yes-men as Mourinho likes. What's the point of buying Hazard, Oscar, Willian, Mata, Schurrle, Salah, Matic and so on if the manager has a track record of playing largely low-block defense and counter-attacking football? It makes no sense. That's why Roman's two preferred choices were Klopp and Guardiola but he had to settle for Mourinho. Mourinho has shown no evidence in his managerial career that he is even capable of setting his team out to play expansive, attacking football. This is not his strength and this is not his footballing philosophy. Neither has he shown that he knows how to handle young, developing players, which is precisely what the new team is being built on. So far we've been subjected to dull football, public criticism of the team after defeats, public criticism of individual players (which is what angers me the most), weird, ignorant comments about Eto'o, moaning about TV schedule (like he has done throughout his career), and a really ill-advised attack on Wenger, who is a legend in English football and is widely respected. Now, I can live with the other shenanigans and the horrid football (at least for a while. It's only a matter of time before Roman starts asking questions) , but I'm not going to turn a blind eye to a manager who criticizes his players to cover his ass. He can't just waltz into the club and do whatever the fuck he likes. The football club continued to win trophies without Jose and will continue to with or without him. I'm not buying that "one of us" bullshit. He is back at Chelsea and after this, he knows he has no other realistic place to go except maybe PSG as he has burnt his bridges in Italy and Spain and none of the Bayern board executives will deal with his baggage. He kissed the Inter badge then fucked right over to Madrid when the opportunity came even after he had told Moratti he was staying. He announced he was leaving the SAME night he won the CL. Again, taking the shine off the players and unto himself. He also did this when he left Porto. It's a "Cult of Personality" thing with him. He said in his first press conference that "nobody is bigger than the club", so I suggest he starts believing his words, shut his mouth and start preparing for next season. "You are a fucking disgrace" As for this, well if it were Mourinho FC and I was a fan of Mourinho and not Chelsea, then perhaps you might be making some sense. But seeing as I'm a Chelsea supporter and not a fan of Mourinho's antics then your infantile pent up anger is misplaced. Mourinho is not the greatest legend this club has ever known, neither is he Abramovich. So save your stupid replies for someone else and give me a break.

He also did the same to Ronaldo. Ronaldo like Hazard complained about his negative, rigid tactics, especially in the clasicos. It wasn't just Casillas and Ramos. He fell out with almost all his players at Madrid. http://www.goal.com/en-gh/news/4375/editorials/2013/08/07/4170817/how-ronaldo-mourinhos-relationship-deteriorated-at-real

(1) Well that's just bullshit, he is not the best ever manager. He is one of the best of all time though. But he has already said we shouldn't judge him by his past laurels. (2) He hasn't done so for two years. 620 days according to MARCA. He also brings with him a lot of undesirable bullshit, which is precisely what the last five pages have been about .

We don't agree on some stuff, and I don't agree with the way you attack some of our best players unfairly, but I agree with you 101%. This is what bothers me the most about Jose. Even Ferguson, the best ever manager never gave himself so much credit for his achievements. This is not about being a bad loser but this is about having a tremendous ego, a Cult of Personality in every sense of that phrase. The way he sometimes speaks in first person "I did this", "I won the league from the best Barcelona" "I broke the goalscoring record in Spain" is funny. I initially thought it was a language issue but I realize that he speaks this way in both Spanish and Portuguese. He also doesn't miss a chance to berate our previous achievements. "I don't like the way Chelsea played in the last 2 seasons".Well, hello, we are not playing that much better in terms of style! When the journo asked him about Terry crying, he used it as an opportunity to praise himself indirectly. "He's crying because he got knocked out in the 2nd leg of a semi-final, last season how could he cry when he got knocked out in the group". Then belittling our Europa league achievement. Dude, we won a league title, FA cups, Champions league and Europa league without you. But all that stuff is not even that important. The sad thing is when his ego extends to the players and the team and causes unrest in the camp, a'la Madrid.
-
Because I have a different opinion than you do? I've been supporting this club long enough to know that Mourinho is not the be all and end all and is just another employee at the club. He is not Roman Abramovich. He needs to shut up and do his job, manage the team, bring success, play better football and bring through the ridiculous amount of talent in both youth teams. And Hazard also needs to shut up and stop making statements to the French media that can be twisted and construed in the wrong way. He is not a kid anymore.
-
Forget football. Forget results. The exact same thing must be said about our manager. Mourinho is the one that brings it on himself. He brings negativity to the club that is not limited to what happens on the football pitch. He has always been this way, but he has become more worse since his stint at Madrid. Personally, I was on this same thread preaching a message of positivity after the Atletico defeat. You can go back and read my post immediately after the game. Mourinho showed me today (and not just today, but all season) that he cares more about personal glory than his so-called love for Chelsea.
-
And even Bale is getting a free role now against the big teams. The match against Bayern was a clear example. Ancelotti was tactically flexible enough to go away from his usual 4-3-3 to a 4-4-2 to give both Ronaldo and Bale less defensive duties. What was the end result? They slaughtered the European champions on their ground. He also did something similar against Barcelona in the Copa Del Rey final. Mourinho's tactics are far too cautious. Not only does he have our best player (who is just returning from a calf injury, btw) chasing fullbacks like a donkey, he plays Azpilicueta on the wing with Schurrle on the bench. End result? We get outclassed by a team with 1/10 th of our budget.

You don't get it, do you. The trophyless season and brand of football are secondary issues. The primary issue here is Mourinho's huge ego and lack of responsibility. Why did Mourinho prepare a long dossier to defend his lack of silverware in the past two seasons then in that SAME press conference, throw his best player under the bus to save face from criticism about the style of football. It reeks of insecurity and as a fan watching the entire press conference, I was let down by him and I won't be surprised if some players are too. But it's time to get over it and move on i guess. But knowing Mourinho, this won't be the first or the last time. His mouth will get him fired before any footballing reasons will. I hope NOT, but that won't surprise me at all.
-
Deflecting the blame from the terrible football he has had us playing this season together with it being a trophyless season. (I have no problem with the second part, but maybe Jose is becoming a bit paranoid that he might win nothing for two seasons in a row). It's all about furthering HIS own glory anyway. System? What system? Do we even have a recognized style of play? Martinez has been at Everton for the same time period as Mourinho and has implemented a system of good attacking football with a vastly inferior squad to ours. Same thing with Pellegrini at City. As for this. Well the rest of your rant is just attacking Straw man. It's obvious you didn't even read my comment. Come back next time with a more cogent, intelligent reply. "FUCK OFF?" Yep. Thought as much.
-
I'm sure he was told what every CFC manager gets told and what most managers at the big clubs get told: (1) Challenge for and win trophies (2) Play an attacking, entertaining brand of football (3) Bring through the youth

Mourinho is doing the same thing he did at Madrid. Causing division between the fans and the players. Between Madridistas and "Mourinhistas". I hope some of the fans are now starting to see through it. I've already posted the vines of goals 1 and goals 3 that show Cole and Azpilicueta desperately out of position, both are in the box instead of maintaining their fullback position, leaving Hazard exposed. Go watch the replays again. This is not a Hazard issue, but a Mourinho ego issue. Watching Hazard this season, I believe he has done more than his fair share of defensive work, certainly more than other top wingers do for their teams. I've seen him track back like an animal at times and cover Azpilicueta on many many occasions, and if we're honest with ourselves, we would all agree on that too. That's what amazes me about Mourinho's comments. He's basically been our most consistent attacking player and the only one in the front 4 who creates something in the away games, when the new guys like Schurrle, Willian and even Oscar struggle with the extra physicality "allowed" by the refs. We are a team of individuals who play disjointed, ugly football and rely (over rely) on Hazard to bail us out. (Again, eerily similar to his Madrid times with Ronaldo taking the place of Hazard and to his last days at Chelsea, with Drogba taking the place of Hazard as THE guy who bails out the team of individuals). Luckily for us, we don't have that many big ego's in the dressing room any longer so the situation is unlikely to spill over quickly this time. Back to Hazard. To say he hasn't given 100% for the team is a bold faced lie and Mourinho's said it not because of how he feels, but to deflect criticism from himself and on to anything else, even his own team. He has already done it on many occasions this season. To Torres, Ba, Eto'o, Schurrrle, Hazard and the entire team ("I made eleven mistakes", "my team lack balls") No other manager does shit like this. If Mourinho continues down this path, it's only a matter of time before he loses the dressing room.
-
I doubt it considering how many AM's and wingers we have. A 4-3-3 only limits the slot in the line-up for those players.
-
The question is can he?
-
Mourinho is the drama queen and he has brought his drama back to Chelsea combined with the dull football. The most interesting thing about him is not how he sets his teams out to play but what he says in the press room. Guardiola once said he was "the fucking boss" of the press room. Now no trophies for two seasons and he is as bitter as ever. He has thrown Torres and Ba under the bus, made disparaging comments about an African legend in Eto'o and has now very harshly criticized Hazard. Of course he's done it all to hide his shortcomings this season. Or is it "I made eleven mistakes" or "my players lack balls". Always someone else's fault. He has every right to criticize his players but he should do it in training or in private and not in a press conference. It's sad because in this SAME press conference, Jose was quick to protect himself from criticism about his mini-trophy drought by going on a very long (prepared I'm sure) rant on his nearly misses and relative (one season really) success at Madrid. But yet, he had no problems throwing his star player under the bus, as if Hazard hasn't improved that side of his game greatly (Mourinho's words) . That's no way to represent your players. It reeks of "self", "me first and me alone". He cares more about his legacy. His scathing reaction to Wenger's "fear to fail" comment were very telling on reflection. Note : This is not "I hate Jose" or "I want him to be sacked" no, this is simply stating an unpopular opinion. Nothing more, nothing less. Jose needs to change his attitude.
-
You're going off from you initial point now. You said Jose is the best manager in the world and I disagree. I don't think he's the best right now. He is one of the best, but you can't go two seasons without winning fuck all and claim to be the best when there are other managers out there doing better with far less resources. But I'm not going to go back and forth with a Jose fan boy whose avatar is Mourinho draped in blue paint. Yep, let's talk about events that happened in 2005 and 2006 to prove that Jose is the best in 2014. Logic.
-
Simeone has won the same amount of trophies Mourinho has won in the last 3 years with a far, FAR less expensive side and a less talented one as well. He is also in the process (at least IMO) of eclipsing Mourinho's Porto glory if he can win the CL with Atletico. Let's face it. Jose's Porto side didn't face that many formidable sides in the knock-out phases. It was one of the weakest CL's since the tournament was rebranded. Apart from Man United, they beat Monaco, Deportivo La Coruna and Lyon. Simeone has had to beat AC Milan, Barcelona, and Chelsea and is still unbeaten in the competition. All this while while doing the impossible in the best league in the world, La liga. Breaking the duopoly of Madrid and Barca while being on 1/hundredth of their budget.
-
And one of the reasons why the comments were uncalled for. Mourinho won't hesitate to wash dirty linen in the public if it means he is absolved of direct criticism. Hazard is partly to blame to for even saying anything about "style of play" to the manipulative French press after ALL the talk surrounding Chelsea and Mourinho have been about that. But Mourinho has not helped issues at all.
-
He hasn't been since 2010 and is about to go two seasons trophyless.. Simeone just beat his side with an Atletico Madrid XI worth 35 million euros, almost the same price as Willian alone. But that's not even the issue. You can't continue to publicly criticize your players and blame everyone for yourself because you are trying to preserve your reputation.
-
Although this is not the full gist of what Mourinho said.
