  1. Klopp would be the most ideal. Great with young players, young himself, a winner, winning without heavy investment, fantastic football, no controversies and most importantly, good ambassador for the club. Unfortunately, he isn't ready to live Dortmund just yet.
  2. Zero trophies in 623 days. 2 trophies out of a possible 14. Hated in Italy, Spain and now England. Have you ever asked yourself WHY he has so many haters? Don't you think this is incredibly strange for a manager/ How he criticizes his players in public? How he discusses players' weaknesses in public (Mata, De Bruyne, Torres, Hazard). But to answer your question, Ancelotti's CV is quite impressive, so is van Gaal and Hiddink and Capello and Trap. And some others combine success with good football. Guardiola, same with Klopp, van Gaal, Ancelotti and Hiddink. . Even Simeone's and Conte's teams at least play decent football. How long are we going to continue to live in the past? His teams clearly have a problem breaking down defensive sides. Look at the personnel we have and look at Mourinho's managerial style. It's obviously oil and water. This team was not built for Mourinho to manage. I'm not the first person to say it (one of the few Chelsea fans that will), because many pundits and football analysts said the same thing. Mourinho will take the flair out of the team and turn us to a counter-attacking team that relies on a strong defense and quick counter-attacking transitions for goals (like Madrid, difference is we don't have Ronaldo). We will struggle against teams that are happy to sit back and defend. It's only a matter of time before Roman gets frustrated.
  3. "This forums is so insufferable at time. I might leave if it continues like this. How dare anyone question Jose, his football or his weird behaviour? Are you not aware of the great things he did in his first spell at the club even though he's told us not to judge him by that?"
  4. Yeah, that's exactly what I typed. We could do it with Costa and Lukaku. That's more than good enough. Lukaku on his own isn't but with a partner like Costa, it would be menacing.
  5. Hazard "offered" himself to Barcelona a few months ago because he is frustrated with the manager. http://www.mundodeportivo.com/index.html http://www.101greatgoals.com/blog/chelseas-eden-hazard-wants-barcelona-move-after-reaching-point-of-no-return-with-mourinho-mundo-deportivo/#.U2YbaUSxx00.twitter These bastards are capitalizing on the situation. I don't even like posting this type of shit because it disgusts me but just for the sake of putting it out there.
  6. I also think we should look to the possibility of playing a flat 4-4-2 next season as an alternative formation next season. Certainly, the arrival of Matic gives us more flexibilty from a tactical point of view. The amount of kilometres he covers in a game, blocks and interceptions, and his general reading of the game is what makes him a fantastically reliable player in this system. I seem to remember Jorge Jesus even using a 4-4-2 when Matic's influence on the side began to grow. Just look at the teams that have scored the most goals this season. Man City play with two up top, Aguero and Dzeko/Negredo. Liverpool play with two up, Suarez and Sturridge regardless of the system, be it 4-3-3, 4-4-2 (diamond), or the 3-5-2 Rodgers was using earlier this season. These are the two highest scoring teams in the league. During our double season under Carlo, when we broke the goal-scoring record, we played many games with both Drogba and Anelka up top, with Lamps at the tip of the diamond. Drogba and Lampard had their best seasons ever that year. Ferguson's great Man United sides played with two strikers. Either with Cantona/Hughes, Andy Cole/Yorke, Rooney/van Horseface and so on. Those sides were almost always the highest scoring team in the division. Nowadays, a lot of teams have gotten to conservative with it and want to overcrowd the midfield area. Perhaps it's time we use this system as an alternative (or even the main system) against ultra-defensive teams at The Bridge. We can do that to, especially with the personnel we (potentially) have. Can you imagine a 4-4-2 with Costa and Lukaku up front, Hazard on the left, Willian right and Matic holding midfielder? That screams power, pace, skill, technique, we can go long, we can go short...... we can score more goals and win more matches.
  7. He said Oscar was our best player for months? From August to October for the first few matches, apart from a few games here and there, he has been below par since then contributing little in attack and getting subbed early. So that is a huge exaggeration from Mourinho. http://www.whoscored.com/Players/41065/Fixtures/Oscar
  8. And neither should there ever be. More rubbish from the journos
  9. Yep, he is known to score great goals. He was the guy that scored this insane goal vs Dortmund that went viral a month or so ago.
  10. Namika, we are not the only team that the opposition defend deep against. Other teams don't seem to have a problem. You mention Costa, sure, he will provide some much needed quality up front, but he is not a striker that creates space for himself, though he does bully defenders. Those type of strikers are very very rare. We also need a creative CM and we also need Azpilicueta back at RB and an attacking LB on Hazard's wing to prevent teams from double marking him. Mourinho also should (I dunno, maybe he is!) focus more on build up play and less on counter-attacking football. If we do these things, then I'm certain we will win the premier league and play some of the best brand of football in the world.
  11. Of course I did enjoy them, but those games are few and far between. We don't really have a defined style of play when the opposition gives us the ball. Most of the games we've played this season have been very bad to watch, especially when we are expected to dominate possession.
  12. You don't have to look to Europe. Man City clearly play much much better than us. Both Liverpool and Everton play better than us with less resources. If i'm being honest. we play some of he worst brand of football among the big European clubs.
  13. Considering we lack a competent set-piece taker (Lamps is not a regular starter) and a genuine, direct competitor to Oscar, I won't mind us signing this guy.
  14. haha, beat me to it. They have a point really. Does Mata ever dominate a game when his team is not playing well?
  15. All City have to do now is beat Villa and West Ham at home, two midtable teams. I think the league is done and dusted.
  16. Goodbye Fulham. Too bad because I wanted them to stay up. The Man City - Everton result gives me double feelings because on one hand, we still have a mathematical chance to win it however improbable, but on the other hand, it denies the Scousers.
  17. Class act, Gus. Great player and great guy.
  18. A 27 year old world class striker to a 23 year old world class winger and potential ballon d'Or winner? Hazard already has more individual honors in his short career than Cavani in his entire career. It's not even an option. Besides, the Costa deal seems as good as done.
  19. Not true. I don't even have the book, I just read part of it from my friend's laptop. Read my comments even after the game. Nothing but praise for the team, the support and I said Mourinho's done a good job this season. Then I wake up early in the morning, listen to the press conference and he's criticizing Hazard and defending himself (his trophy drought), I thought, WTF? Then it all started to sink in for me. His behaviour since the start of the season and so on and his new found trait of completely absolving himself from criticism and publicly criticizing his players. This Hazard thing is not an isolated incident, unless we choose to deceive ourselves. I respect him and his record but respect is were it ends for me. He said we should judge him for what he does in his second spell and not past achievements and that's what I'm going to do. Maybe it's just a temporary thing and the mini trophy drought has gotten to him. But that's not an excuse. Anyway, bro, I'm not even going to get into this anymore. It's fine.
  20. Are you threatening violence now? You threaten violence here then threaten me via message for having an opinion. You truly are pathetic and infantile. Or are you one of those CFC headhunters, because your kind caused more damage to the football club than any so-called glory-hunter could ever do. At least they buy merchandise. The fact that you can't or refuse to argue and state your case like a mature human being says a lot about you. Just don't bother replying to my posts if you have nothing of substance to add.
  21. Take your pills and chill out. You sound like you're about to have a heart attack. You seem pretty upset that someone fairly criticizes Mourinho's behaviour. I have said absolutely nothing about Mourinho until now. Read my comments after the Atletico game. So Mourinho's attitude is not my cup of tea, big deal. He has turned from a funny, witty and clever guy to something I won't even bother typing here. He is not my favourite CFC manager. I respect him for his past achievements at the football club, but I don't have to worship at his alter or swallow up everything he says.
  22. No, just no. This isn't Hazard FC either. Mourinho should shut his mouth for 5 seconds and stop letting the press treat him like a cheap whore. They don't really like him, though they pretend otherwise. Hazard should also shut it a little or at least be more media savvy when dealing with the French press vultures. Unless you're being sarcastic of course
  23. I know some Chelsea fans, elderly ones, who never wanted Mourinho back in the first place because of his behaviour. He is a tremendously popular manager at the club and rightly so. I chose to ignore all the stuff at Madrid and treat his behaviour there as an anomaly. Madrid is a merry-go-round of managers right? But the facts are facts. He fell out with almost all his players at Madrid. He is hated in Spain. He is hated in Italy, and now he is hated in England. There are ways of being a great manager without being a complete dick about it. Look at Ancelotti. I had reservations about him coming back to manage this Chelsea. For one, this is a team built on flair and technically gifted players, not workhorses, "functional" players, robots and yes-men as Mourinho likes. What's the point of buying Hazard, Oscar, Willian, Mata, Schurrle, Salah, Matic and so on if the manager has a track record of playing largely low-block defense and counter-attacking football? It makes no sense. That's why Roman's two preferred choices were Klopp and Guardiola but he had to settle for Mourinho. Mourinho has shown no evidence in his managerial career that he is even capable of setting his team out to play expansive, attacking football. This is not his strength and this is not his footballing philosophy. Neither has he shown that he knows how to handle young, developing players, which is precisely what the new team is being built on. So far we've been subjected to dull football, public criticism of the team after defeats, public criticism of individual players (which is what angers me the most), weird, ignorant comments about Eto'o, moaning about TV schedule (like he has done throughout his career), and a really ill-advised attack on Wenger, who is a legend in English football and is widely respected. Now, I can live with the other shenanigans and the horrid football (at least for a while. It's only a matter of time before Roman starts asking questions) , but I'm not going to turn a blind eye to a manager who criticizes his players to cover his ass. He can't just waltz into the club and do whatever the fuck he likes. The football club continued to win trophies without Jose and will continue to with or without him. I'm not buying that "one of us" bullshit. He is back at Chelsea and after this, he knows he has no other realistic place to go except maybe PSG as he has burnt his bridges in Italy and Spain and none of the Bayern board executives will deal with his baggage. He kissed the Inter badge then fucked right over to Madrid when the opportunity came even after he had told Moratti he was staying. He announced he was leaving the SAME night he won the CL. Again, taking the shine off the players and unto himself. He also did this when he left Porto. It's a "Cult of Personality" thing with him. He said in his first press conference that "nobody is bigger than the club", so I suggest he starts believing his words, shut his mouth and start preparing for next season. "You are a fucking disgrace" As for this, well if it were Mourinho FC and I was a fan of Mourinho and not Chelsea, then perhaps you might be making some sense. But seeing as I'm a Chelsea supporter and not a fan of Mourinho's antics then your infantile pent up anger is misplaced. Mourinho is not the greatest legend this club has ever known, neither is he Abramovich. So save your stupid replies for someone else and give me a break.
  24. He also did the same to Ronaldo. Ronaldo like Hazard complained about his negative, rigid tactics, especially in the clasicos. It wasn't just Casillas and Ramos. He fell out with almost all his players at Madrid. http://www.goal.com/en-gh/news/4375/editorials/2013/08/07/4170817/how-ronaldo-mourinhos-relationship-deteriorated-at-real
  25. (1) Well that's just bullshit, he is not the best ever manager. He is one of the best of all time though. But he has already said we shouldn't judge him by his past laurels. (2) He hasn't done so for two years. 620 days according to MARCA. He also brings with him a lot of undesirable bullshit, which is precisely what the last five pages have been about .
