  1. Lamps doesn't even trust Chalobah. Unreal!
  2. Need a CB and Badiashile is stuck at home. I'd love to know who actually selected the squad for CL KO. He looks shot. Can't take his man on or run back to help.
  3. Vini is having the time of his life down our right. Lampard has to change something before we concede another or Fofana gets sent off.
  4. Bayern as a whole have been far too reliant on certain players for years (Neuer, Muller, Lahm while he was there, and the list goes on) and haven't been able to replace key individuals during that time. All the attackers you mentioned have the same issue: consistency. None of them have it, which is why they've been passed around during their careers.
  5. I want to give Lampard credit for his willfulness to make changes, especially upfront. Enzo, Kante & Kovacic starting.
  6. The last thing Bayern wants are players with egos.
  7. The comments below have nothing to do with Europe in the slightest, and they are what I had issue with. Messi didn't win the WC singlehandedly. Additionally, Scaloni won the Copa America the year before. Whether or not you consider these accomplishments deserving is solely on you. As I stated above, my issue was with your description of the club. Discussing each candidate's credentials based on their history is valid.
  8. That's where we disagree. Leaving Muller on the bench for almost 80 minutes when you don't have a natural CF invited pressure on them and made things even easier for City. I favoured City over them prior to Nagelsmann's sacking, so I'm not saying he'd have miraculously gotten the better of them, but the tie on the whole wouldn't have been a blowout after the first leg either. They bought Mane, de Ligt, & Gravenberch a matter of months ago, so it clearly isn't the same squad. The issue is the failure to bring in a natural replacement for Lewy, which is why they've been linked with Kane and, more recently, Osimhen. I partially agree with the points you made about their flaws in midfield. However, on the flip side, they had Gravenberch on the bench; he would have offered more of a presence than last night's duo combined.
  9. That train of thought doesn't make too much sense since they had a perfect group stage record, which included one of the other CL quarterfinalists & the impending La Liga champions. The manner of their defeat has more to do with Tuchel's poor selection, tbh.
  10. European experience is one thing, but the bolded is pure ignorance. Had you heard of Scaloni prior to him doing the double with Argentina (they've only lost five games out of 59)? To the surprise of many, football exists outside of Europe, and River Plate are amongst the biggest clubs around. That aside, I wouldn't personally advocate for him; we know what happened with Scolari.
  11. Sommer is keeping the score somewhat respectable.
  12. They sacked Nagelsmann for this... They will always give you chances. I think a full strength Napoli side could get the better of them in a one off match.
  13. We should be thankful that the Liverpool players on the field today were not present in midweek. I'd feel robbed if I was a Liverpool fan. Are officials ever going to pay for pathetic performances?
  14. Weird to see considering he had only missed one in his entire Liverpool career prior to that.
  15. They didn't fair too badly in our last CL outing, so I can only hope that will be enough motivation. I've heard one or two have been spotted.
  16. They threw away the lead twice to succumb to a 3-2 home defeat. If our attackers are actually up for it, we'll have a chance of getting a positive result.
  17. He looked good at times playing alongside some of the best playmakers around and was dire at other times, missing chances for fun. Sterling's reputation exceeded his actual ability due to the collective around him. We need players that can deliver consistently rather than needing a system suited around their limited skillset.
  18. Cucu and Sterling don't have a place either if we want to compete again.
  19. We just bought a number of those players a few months ago. Were Auba & Sterling meant to be the answers to our attack?!
  20. There are too many issues with this team to list. One takeaway from this game is KK's footballing ability, which is arguably worse than Zouma's.
  21. We've been bullied for 45 minutes. Our worst performance in the last few months.
  22. And that the Fulham result was the catalyst.
  23. Aside from putting their money where their mouths are, they haven't done anything to instill confidence or hope. The rumour surrounding Mudryk's purchase seems more likely by the day.
  24. Lampard taking up the Hiddink role 😄 Have they realised that he won't actually be playing for the team?
