  1. I didn't follow Brazilian footie when he was starting out, but I'm quite sure the calibre of player were higher back then. Brasileiro is mainly full of has beens, and a few prospects. However, I'm in agreement. Neymar is on a different level to Robinho.
  2. More will fail, rather than get anywhere near fulfilling their potential or living up to the hype.
  3. Pato's injuries have ruined his career so far, rather than his attitude.I don't take much notice of labels, but if someone unknown is given such a title by the press; they must have something about them to warrant it.
  4. Conflicting reports. I read they can sign him for ยฃ9.5m plus addons.
  5. In Brazil, Robinho was supposedly the next Pele. Neymar has and is following the same tag. That's the reason I used that example.
  6. Possibly that, but agents should guiding them to an extent.
  7. I agree. He had the potential to be a great, but his attitude was his downfall. Seems to be the case for quite a few Brazilians.
  8. I judge a player on more than one season. He had the ability to become WC, but went for the money. As I stated before, I don't doubt his ability. His attitude (diving, play acting, etc) are the things that make me doubt him.
  9. Robinho? Both meant to be the new Pele, both were stars for Santos, and both moved to Spain. Robinho came to England and flopped, so who's to say the same wouldn't happen to Neymar? Everything discussed is just opinions and assumptions. If Neymar continues to follow Robinho's path, this conversation might have some substance.
  10. I'm aware of that, but he wouldn't thrive IMO. If he built up and removed the play acting; that's a different story.
  11. Negredo, Robinho, etc. Some fail, while others don't. Neymar's ability isn't in question, but his play acting and physicality are. Also, have you read the Oscar and Willian threads? They aren't exactly lighting the place up.
  12. It's a strong, but fair opinion. From afar, Neymar doesn't have what it takes to survive with the physical aspect of the Prem. He would be a broken man.
  13. Reporters will write anything to sell papers.
  14. There's been crazy talk of Henderson going around.
  15. I didn't know he had signed a contract prior to my first post, but I was just saying players sign contracts one minute, and leave the next. If we're going to break the bank for any French player, it should be for Pogba.
  16. What do contracts mean nowadays?
  17. I'm surprised there isn't more interest in him from us. He would fit the team perfectly.
  18. I completely agree. It is ยฃ27m down the drain IMO.
  19. It's a joy to watch him turn out for us. He's a cut above the rest.
  20. Will he finally be dropped to the bench on Sunday?
  21. I personally think Arsenal are our biggest threat. If we avoid defeat away to them; the title will be ours.
  22. Neymar goes down because he KNOWS he'll most likely get the call. I personally don't think Neymar is as weak as most think, but goes down as he's used to getting the calls. Juan just seems too weak, full stop. However, my original disagreement with you was comparing both players. There's nothing that warrants it.
  23. That is an assumptions based on nothing, but he would do better than Juan where it matters. Juan can't even beat a man, so it's like watching Willian all over again.
  24. It's pointless IMO. There's no need whatsoever to compared two players that are a class apart based on 1 match.
  25. Who carried Brazil at the WC?I'll be off. Adiรณs!
