I know. I just had an ounce of hope things would change, so plenty of rumours went around last season that Poch was largely to blame for his training routine.
-
It was actually nice having a full fit squad for about 3 days. I'd imagine we will probably be in the market for another CB now.
-
Just like our first encounter against them. However, I'm hoping we get out of this funk, as we really can't afford to drop points against such sides.
-
It seemed to be more of an issue with his agent, who he got rid of/replaced days after the majority of windows shut. He supposedly sealed his loan to Gala himself. However, I don't see him leaving them midseason, which is of no help to us. Where's Felix off to?
-
There's no doubt it will. Over the last two windows, a number of potentially interesting bargains have been available that we didn't even considered, paired with whatever pay structure exists. If this squad's potential is ever realised, we will stagnate for one or both of these reasons.
-
He's showing his naivety. This will be his first full season managing at the top level (provided he can ride this out), so we might have to put up with more moments like this.
-
I hate to say it, but Maresca deserves to be slated for the RB choice. We had THREE available options, yet, he went with a CB. Edit - He has thrown away a sub as well. 😑
-
I mean the subs. He made two chances that wasted slots. What is someone gonna do with an extra 10 minutes? Make these changes at HT.
-
What are these changes? Noni & Disasi still on with one final sub period left. Moronic!
-
If a former player is playing against us, it's a sure-fire they will score. Maresca has 30 minutes+ to turn this shitshow around.
-
He's had extensive layoffs in recent years and had no chance of even regain some form. It seems like a move away is inevitable. I totally agree that this shouldn't be a constant thing but from time to time to mix things up and have more of a threat than "just Palmer", which has been the case thus far tonight.

When will Nkunku be giving a chance to play behind NJ? The moment we pulled out of the Samu deal, this should have died with it. A signing that should have never been made.
-
Is this a Conference league game, and I somehow missed the memo? A number of concerns with that XI.
-
Have they paid in full for Hall and whatever is owed from the Livramento deal? If not, there would be sustainable legroom for us to make a deal happen (not saying I'm pushing for it, just hypothetical). With regards to your list, I feel like everything is pointing towards Delap, especially if Maresca stays + Ipswich goes down. That aside, it really goes to show the quality of top-out-and-out CFs is at a real low.
-
Aren't the days of exploiting loopholes long gone? Whatever the case may be, some meaningful competition for NJ is required. I've had enough of his position going uncontested for one reason or another, and that's no reflection on his performances during his time here, despite the fact that my feelings being well known.

I fear Kolo is exactly the type of player we'll sign as a "panic" buy just before the window shuts. I believe any chance of signing Duran is long gone now unless you think spending £75m+ for him is smart business (I'd much rather go for Isak at that price if lack of PL experience puts you off Osimhen).
-
It seems like Kolo from PSG on loan is doing the rounds. I really hope we stay clear. City are linked with Marmoush. A very interesting option, tbh.
-
He seems to be the most likely to leave according to reports. More American owners penny pitching.
-
100%. Aside from that blip against Forest (good old days returning for them?), they've dominated in the league and in Europe. Slot has made people forget about Klopp already, which is a major surprise. It will be interesting to see who out of the three big names will remain, tho. Imagine losing Salah, VVD, & TAA for nothing. They would regress massively.
-
I honestly think it's hard to argue that he's the best player in the world. Liverpool can thank the timing of the new CWC forcing AFCON to move to next winter. That would have been the only genuine chance for others to bridge the gap. Right now, it's difficult to imagine anything other than a league victory for them.
-
Lopetegui just doesn't learn. Playing that number of attacking players who won't do the dirty work is asking for trouble. On the other hand, Salah is playing better than his debut season for Liverpool. He seems to be getting at least a goal and an assist every game.
-
If you consider our entire squad, we have ample options in midfield (KDH, Lesley, Santos, Carney, Casadei, etc). The talent or lack of at this level is another story. There's absolutely no point on having them on the books if Maresca doesn't value them.
-
It's crazy we have bought so many goalkeepers recently and still have failed to identify one that would be up to the job (it really isn't that difficult - just look at what Liverpool did in the summer).
-
I feel like keeping such players affects their development more than anything. Youngsters need to play fairly regularly to actually develop rather than 5 games in a season. Signing KDH to just make a financial loss in less than 6 months doesn't give me much faith in this manager where incomings are concerned. The same could be said about the club signing Felix against Enzo's will (couldn't be more evident).
-
Like no one bought D.Fofana, Washington, etc. Are we going to actually play any CF we buy or are they just pawns?
