Jackson should have hit the target at the very least and made the GK work.
-
He really is ice cold. The composure to take his time and tuck it away with easy. Lets build on his goal today.

We sold a midfielder, KDH was brought in to fill that void. That's why I'm mentioning the two. KDH should have never been bought & screamed Drinkwater vibes the moment the rumour started to circulate. I'm talking about the players they were brought into replace, not what is currently at the club. Tosin came on a free, so his signing was a no-brainer. Half of the players you mentioned are exactly that - limited.
-
At least Maresca is learning from some of his line up choices from previous weeks and is starting a natural RB. I hope Josh hits the ground running on his first PL start as well.
-
I'd say so, with TAA being the obvious other name who can't defend to save his life. James' subpar performances at times for us have come when managers want to limit him at RCB, which is such a waste of talent. The better weather might help him with his injury problems like it has done with Kante. Either way, the Saudis want a marquee English signing, and he would be exactly that, injury history or not.
-
I don't mind if those that come in are perceived as an upgrade. KDH for Gallagher? 😐 Chalobah's predicament became apparent, even when he scored against Tottenham. However, I believe no one was prepared to part with money for him, so the board took the next best thing in their opinion. I mentioned it before his loan was finalised: his flexibility and PL experience make him a great asset, despite his flaws. It's not about whether they are good enough but who replaced them. Is KDH better than Gallagher, an English INT? Are Badi, Tosin, and Disasi better than Trev? I'd imagine almost everyone on this board would say no to both. It's one thing to replace "subpar" players with better ones; it's a totally different thing to just make stupid decisions.
-
Most people should understand that this ownership's primary goal in maximising profits was to unload academy graduates while overpaying for subpar replacements. If they had their way, he would have been permanently sold in the summer.

I think every sports outlet in the world is twisting the interview that went out earlier today to their liking for clicks.
-
Arguably the most rounded RB in world football? I'm sure there would still be plenty of takers. You miss the Saudi league, btw?
-
I feel like time is running out for a number of these broken goods. There's no point having players on high wages who can't even be relied on for three games straight (James is part of that discussion).
-
I know. I just had an ounce of hope things would change, so plenty of rumours went around last season that Poch was largely to blame for his training routine.
-
It was actually nice having a full fit squad for about 3 days. I'd imagine we will probably be in the market for another CB now.
-
Just like our first encounter against them. However, I'm hoping we get out of this funk, as we really can't afford to drop points against such sides.
-
It seemed to be more of an issue with his agent, who he got rid of/replaced days after the majority of windows shut. He supposedly sealed his loan to Gala himself. However, I don't see him leaving them midseason, which is of no help to us. Where's Felix off to?
-
There's no doubt it will. Over the last two windows, a number of potentially interesting bargains have been available that we didn't even considered, paired with whatever pay structure exists. If this squad's potential is ever realised, we will stagnate for one or both of these reasons.
-
He's showing his naivety. This will be his first full season managing at the top level (provided he can ride this out), so we might have to put up with more moments like this.
-
I hate to say it, but Maresca deserves to be slated for the RB choice. We had THREE available options, yet, he went with a CB. Edit - He has thrown away a sub as well. 😑
-
I mean the subs. He made two chances that wasted slots. What is someone gonna do with an extra 10 minutes? Make these changes at HT.
-
What are these changes? Noni & Disasi still on with one final sub period left. Moronic!
-
If a former player is playing against us, it's a sure-fire they will score. Maresca has 30 minutes+ to turn this shitshow around.
-
He's had extensive layoffs in recent years and had no chance of even regain some form. It seems like a move away is inevitable. I totally agree that this shouldn't be a constant thing but from time to time to mix things up and have more of a threat than "just Palmer", which has been the case thus far tonight.

When will Nkunku be giving a chance to play behind NJ? The moment we pulled out of the Samu deal, this should have died with it. A signing that should have never been made.
-
Is this a Conference league game, and I somehow missed the memo? A number of concerns with that XI.
-
Have they paid in full for Hall and whatever is owed from the Livramento deal? If not, there would be sustainable legroom for us to make a deal happen (not saying I'm pushing for it, just hypothetical). With regards to your list, I feel like everything is pointing towards Delap, especially if Maresca stays + Ipswich goes down. That aside, it really goes to show the quality of top-out-and-out CFs is at a real low.
-
Aren't the days of exploiting loopholes long gone? Whatever the case may be, some meaningful competition for NJ is required. I've had enough of his position going uncontested for one reason or another, and that's no reflection on his performances during his time here, despite the fact that my feelings being well known.
