  1. We have a better Croatian on our books.
  2. One was effectively part of the Sarri and the other one was a six month loan signing. They didn't exactly go all guns blazing.
  3. Of course it's including bonuses. Probably just over £100m for the sale alone.
  4. When was the last time a manager ws given the luxury of picking his own targets? I'd prefer Cech to be involved in potential transfers than someone that hasn't a clue about the game. Anyway, let's get back to the topic at hand.
  5. Is signing players not part of running a club or do we catch them with Poke balls?
  6. Baba Rahman & Jay Dasilva, to name two.
  7. I'm sure they still have a big name signing in their sights aside from Hazard. Frankfurt made 10x profit in a matter of weeks, so it was sensible on their part not to get greedy. Also, I'd be surprised if there isn't a few addons too, should he succeed.
  8. Cech is supposedly the first of many, so it's clearly a step in the right direction judging on what's gone before it. The names you mentioned haven't held notable positions from what I know and they didn't have much say, if any, about the running of the club. We have more than two LB's at the club.
  9. There were rumours after losing 4-0 to Bournemouth, there were rumours after 6-0 to City, etc. I'm sure Sarri's objective was a top 4 finish with anything else being an added bonus. Roman personally scheduled that friendly, so I highly doubt the EL was on his agenda at all.
  10. Please point me in the direction where I stated he is deserving of more leeway? People keep going on about the past despite it having little relevance to today. It's clear Roman/Board want to go down a different patch, which is emphasised by Cech's imminent arrival. In my eyes, Howe bought him just like Ibe. Money down the drain
  11. How do you know otherwise? Trying to rebut the points without any actual proof is of no worth to the discussion. They are presumptions, nonetheless.
  12. There's an exception to every rule. We'll find out should Lampard get the job.
  13. Di Matteo was a stop gap last time I checked and only got the job because of his triumph in Munich. Not exactly the same. That clearly wasn't the point I was making. Howe has been given considerable backing and there is no sign of progression.
  14. Yes, that's why I am making the point. I believe the board would be more willing to give time to a club legend than effectively a nobody. Don't need to go through anything, thanks. Bournemouth's last three final standings were 9th, 12th, 14th (spent £80M! in the season just gone), so could you please show me the progress and signs of CL material? It might be best to look at the bigger picture in future. That might have something to do with having a stadium almost 6x the size in capacity.
  15. He won't be afforded time, that's how. Howe is a decent manager, but the hype around him is largely down to his nationality.
  16. Nuno is also in the conversation. People seem to forget about his time at Porto & Valencia.
  17. He spoke the language fine and was effectively fluent having worked in London previously. He'd be a bigger risk than Lampard tbh.
  18. Shame his time here ended in such a fashion. Good luck to him!
  19. Cesc mentioned that Sarri told the attacking players to stop making runs ahead of opposing defenders a few months into his tenure. The downward turn was definitely more to do with him than I originally thought.
  20. Can't imagine what both teams will look like. Let's just hope it's third time lucky
  21. Pleased these sort of discussions will be non-existent new season. Ball hit your hands, it's a pen. Done away with this deliberate bull.
  22. I'll never get that train of thought personally. You move somewhere for a challenge, only to run back within 12 months (don't want to hear about the fans impact, etc). Oh well. The merry-go-round will continue.
  23. That could well be the case. It's just odd that these Juve rumours supposedly came out of nowhere & now, he's effectively gone. Just seems rather odd to me The club had until Wednesday to appeal. They aren't going to take away an gloss from winning a trophy, so I'm sure some sort of statement will be announced next week.
  24. We are all in the dark about the ban or an appeal, so I guess things might become clearer in the next few weeks. However, if CAS do postpone the ban, this decision becomes farcical.
  25. What's changed? The board/Roman don't even seem to be putting up a fight. Sarri homesick now?
