Money more like.

Supposed reasoning - Yet, it will be activate from fifth round onwards. The FA are so backwards. it's untrue.
-
The absence of it is ridiculous, particularly at Premier League stadiums.

If they want peanuts for wages too. There's no chance this board would outlay wages of £150kpw plus for any free agent. I'd say you're partially right. We definitely don't need more deadwood, but no matter how good a 18-22-year-old might look, he will lack key attributes that can only be gained from experience/winning. Players similar to Silva, albeit 3-4 years old, would be the sweet spot to balance things out (Tah springs to mind). At this point though, it's a matter of us banging our heads against a brick wall; our oldest outfield player in this season's squad is 27 (26 at the start of the season).

They like pump out whatever suits their agenda.

I remember when he was another one of those FM wonderkids and made the move to Dortmund. It seemed like he'd be destined to join RM after a few years in Germany, but it didn't pan out that way. He's shown to be more of a late bloomer in today's world of football (peaks are expected in early twenties, which is crazy). With regards to Newcastle, I completely agree. Their investment, or lack thereof, has been weird at times, particularly after gaining the "holy grail," which was a CL position. I realise that PSR has a tight leash on what they can and cannot accomplish, as shown last summer. Meanwhile, if you look at what Villa is doing, they are trying to stay at that level. If Rashford's move is a sign of things to come (offering wages of £300kpw+), they could become a serious title contender.

I was being sarcastic. If what you are saying is indeed the truth, good on the club. A teen shouldn't be entitled to anything. On talent alone, I think he could have offered something right now and in the long term. However, based on the rumoured fees, he certainly wasn't worth that outlay.
-
He only turned 25 a few months ago and hasn't played alongside elite players, so those are aspects that he could certainly improve on with more quality around him.
-
Tottenham supposedly paid €10m loan fee for Tel with a €60m transfer fee should they make it permanent. I'm extremely happy he "snubbed" us at that cost.
-
Agree to disagree. Most of the top CF's excel because of their physical presence while he exceeds elsewhere (understanding of the game, movement, etc).
-
I personally can't think of a more technically gifted CF than him in world football. The difference between him & Jackson is staggering.
-
That was in the group stages. I'm sure Palmer will be added to our squad for the KO stages, so his game time would be even less. I totally agree someone should have been signed to fill his void, but we have been crying out for another CF for months and look where we are.
-
The last thing we really need. It could have been a blessing in disguise for him. I guess we'll find out the full extent tomorrow.
-
Looks like Guiu could have a problem. Nkunku V Brighton? 🥲
-
You can only beat those in front of you, which we are doing. We've struggled because Jackson can't be replied upon. Look at our home performance V Brighton. Our roster is certainly a big reason behind that, as there doesn't seem to be any repercussions for under performing. As much as people might slate Mudryk, having a viable option to displace the English duo was good to have.

It's not a coincidence that Maresca actually made changes early and we are reaping the rewards. Go for a third without overcommitting. The former has been far more lively than NJ.
-
They are taking the mick right now. Two offsides they are looking at? Trying hard to do us over. Keep attacking now!
-
He's a free agent.....
-
Nkunku isn't going anywhere till June at the earliest, so he needs to be used more often in matches like this at AM, not CF. Edit - Good changes. I hope Palmer is going to the right or interchanging with Nkunku at least. No excuses for him now.
-
It's much easier to play well when things are going well. When they aren't. it takes characters/leaders to get the team going again. We have none.
-
I was going to say about 5 minutes ago when he got lucky - Colwill has a mistake in him EVERY SINGLE GAME. This nonsense needs to stop about age or he'll eventually come good. It's like clockwork.
-
Palmer has looked off it for a number of games despite his goals. Not sure if it's a combination of things or he's playing with some sort of issue.
-
Enzo and Madueke with big chances. They have to be testing the GK.
-
Of course. However, as I said, if Jorgensen has the basics under wraps, we won't have to be complaining each week about GK howlers. I'm not going to do the maths during the game, but you can look up how many points Sanchez has cost us from Aug to Jan. Jackson. He has no presence at all.
-
If you aren't directly contributing to the opposition scoring, how can someone be deemed worse? All Jorgensen needs to do is the basics well enough, and the place should be his till the summer, where Petrovic deserves another go. So do I. Another performance similar to Wolves is what we need (minus the GK howler). As I type, Madueke should have given us the lead.
