  1. I don't think Dortmund would be stupid enough to let greed get in the way of receiving double of next season's fee. The rumoured €150m fee is what they are holding out for, so the ball is effectively in our court; cough up or move on.
  2. I noticed shortly after posting. Same thing as we did with Ake.
  3. I hope we are covering our tracks at least & have a buy-back clause inserted.
  4. Something that came to mind should the latter leave. Tuchel doesn't fancy Tammy & we can't have Werner as our sole CF (not sure about Broja's situation).
  5. If we don't sign Haaland, is Rice & Traore meant to be seen as a good window? We can't have this pattern of getting fillers IMO. Also, before you or anyone else makes a comment, I don't believe Rice would improve our XI that much, not to mention the price tag to boot.
  6. Not necessarily; some players have their heart set on moving to particular clubs. I'm sure Dortmund would be more than happy if Haaland said no to us (providing we pay up) to join RM next summer for still a hefty profit. I agree for the most part. However, we won't exactly get any notable fees for outgoings unless Werner shockingly leaves.
  7. It's seemingly down to Roman going by most. If he puts up Dortmund's asking price, he'll be in Blue for the coming season.
  8. Money can't buy you success. It will be the same story next year & Mbappe will be off.
  9. Ah, fair enough. I wasn't aware it was official (had seen rumours).
  10. Teams were probably wary due to his stint at Milan & Sevilla to a lesser extent. Haller & Jovic had similar numbers at the same club & haven't exactly done much since. Re-signing Isak would be the best option to them. However, I can't see them spending that much even if they receive £200m+ this summer.
  11. He had a decent season the year Wolves were newly promoted & most teams weren't that aware of them. Come last season and see his contribution, not to mention his actual decision making (which is awful IMO). All in all, I see him being nothing more than an addition player to our squad that won't improve it of any note should he join. We've had enough of those players in recent years, haven't we? Hakimi does much more than that and actually has some end product. The drop-off between the two is so drastic it isn't even funny. His actual decision making is the reason I'm against the prospect, which has been evident on countless occasions. Different fees have been mention, but if he doesn't notably improve on what we have, why throw money down the drain?
  12. Spending £30m+ on whim just isn't smart business. I would rather keep the options we have and strengthen in areas we are severely lacking.
  13. I can't see it at all. He doesn't have any end product & I don't see that drastically changing if he joined us.
  14. I'm sure there's more to that. Not having to learn another language could be another reason (if he's fluent in French).
  15. City overpaying for British talent. Some things never change.
  16. They'll only recoup a decent sum of money from a few of those. However, as you mentioned, Mbappe not signing a contract extension would swing things. Also, I can't see Real Madrid not making a major signing this summer looking at the current state of their squad.
  17. I don't think we'll go another season of winning a major trophy & sitting still. I'd expect at least one major signing (hopefully Haaland).
  18. I'd honestly be shocked if RM ended up signing Haaland & Mbappe unless I'm missing something and their financial situation has been blown out of proportion.
  19. Everything that has come out in recent weeks seem to point to Tuchel wanting his first choice targets or nothing, which is music to my ears.
  20. That may be the case, but quite a few here and elsewhere knew loaning him to Sheffield United wasn't a good idea, and it proved just that. There's been a number of players that have followed a similar fate over recent years thanks to poor choices by the club.
  21. Us and loans don't normally go too well. Just look at what's gone on with Amapdu.
  22. If you think of the business Leicester has done since being promoted to the Premier League, it's up there as the best.
  23. PSG don't exactly have a certified CF, so they could push for him if Mbappe is seriously considering leaving.
  24. I'm rather surprised Michy hasn't been mentioned at all. I guess a positive Euros might change that.
  25. He's done it three times already, so I'm sure nothing will change. Have some success for a few years and then, jump ship.
