What's the best Chelsea 18 (Starting 11 plus 7 on the bench) in your lifetime in your opinion? I'm curious to see who people judge to be the best according to their age, so post that too. Post your 18, and then tick the players in the poll so we can see who's the most popular. I was born in 1992, and for me it's: -----------------Cech------------------ -Ivanovic---JT--Carvalho---Cole- --------------Makelele--------------- --------------Lampard--------------- ---Robben---------------Hazard--- --------Drogba---------Zola--------- Bench: Cudicini, Le Saux, Desailly, Ballack, J Cole, Gudjohnsen, Hasselbaink.

4 goals in 9 games since he's been starting for them is hardly struggling. Especially when Boro have only scored 11 goals in those 9 games anyway.
-
Well I don't know what Mou will want or will do. Just saying that's what i'd do. Bamford is ready to be 3rd choice for us IMO.
-
This thread has taken an interesting turn...
-
I'd much rather Bamford or Solanke get that 3rd choice striker spot tbh. I'm sure this kid is good, but we need to think about the HG quota, as well as giving some of our youth products a chance.

You're going to have to retire from this forum if we do sign him you know... The backlash will be huge .
-
The only way i'll be ok with Arsenal having him is if they pay £60M+ Otherwise, surely PSG, Juve or Roma would want him? With Sirigu being out of sorts, Buffon getting REALLY old now and De Sanctis leaving on a free in the summer?
-
My to-do list if this transfer gets done: 1) Celebrate like a child on xmas day. 2) Pinch myself to check i'm not dreaming. 3) Buy a Reus away shirt. 4) Salivate at the thought of having Cesc-Matic-Hazard-Oscar-Reus as our midfield, with Diegoal in front of them. 5) Quote everyone who said it wouldn't happen and would be going to Bayern for sure.
-
Yep. And following on from that logic let's sign Aaron Wilbraham. He's got 9 goals this season so far and the team he's played for have only lost 1 league match since March!
-
Hahahahahahaha serves the disrespectful childish FRISPs right.
-
I'm not offended at all mate! I meant Courtois. No worries, I love a good debate
-
Not a big fan of that style of play. And especially hate the holier than thou 'better football' crap that comes with it.
-
We're going to have to agree to disagree here, to my mind if you are asked a question about a situation and give your honest answer you should not be attacked for it.
-
It doesn't look likely to me either, but then i'm no architect! I guess we'll have to see what the club say; I genuinely believe that if it's possible, feasible and not ridiculously expensive they will redevelop the bridge. But 3 big if's there.
-
You against the idea of redeveloping the Bridge then? It could turn out to be more trouble than it's worth after all. What are our moving options at the moment?

I think you'll find that you said you agree with Polo7. Who's comments about Tibo "sticking his nose in where it doesn't belong" were almost definitely in relation to his comments about the Belgium NT's performance seeing as his next couple of statements (which have since been deleted) were deliberately provocative to Belgian NT fans leaping to his defence. Maybe you were referring to his comments about Cech but pledging your support behind Polo7 was a mistake as he was referring to a different set of comments. And anyway, skipping over your passive-aggressive comments, let's talk about his comments about Cech: I don't see the problem with it at all. Someone asked him what he thought about the Cech situation and he replied truthfully. If he was Cech (and so arguably one of the top 3 GKs in the world) and not being played then he'd leave the club. Who could blame Cech really if he did? I doubt anyone would. Why does Courtois saying what everyone is thinking make him a bad guy?
-
IMO: 1) Sterling 2) Kovacic 3) Marquinhos 4) El Haddai 5) Praet
-
Was unbelievably good today against a very good Wales defence. Played almost by himself as the rest of the Belgium team (minus Origi) didn't seem to be bothered to even attempt to create anything. Outstanding footballer, gets better and better every time I watch him play.
-
He's obviously a much better player now and we've proved with Matic that we're not averse to resigning players who have done well. But unless JT is retiring at the end of the season i'm not entirely sure we need him, even for such a small fee. We have JT and Cahill who are better and Zouma who is 4 years younger and not much worse. Then we have Christensen and Omeruo coming through (neither ready yet admittedly) and Kalas to return from Germany. I guess if the club has lost faith in Kalas (I haven't yet) then he could be a good signing to compete with Zouma for the 3th/4th choice CB spot. But then again, would he want to do that seeing as he's starting for PSV and so the Netherlands. Being even 3rd choice here would probably harm his chances of playing for the national team. Until JT retires that is, hence why it depends on JT largely IMO. An interesting idea though, well done to whoever brought it up.

The media making shit up? Whatever next...
-
The comments weren't in relation to our club or our players. It was in relation to the Belgium NT players, so frankly, it's none of the business of Chelsea fans, it's the business of Belgium fans (who by the way, seem to be the ones supporting him).
-
If we can't get Reus we should keep Schurrle and back him AT LEAST until the end of the season. His form at Leverkusen and now and again for us last season proved he has definitely got the capability of being good enough. I would normally always back the players at the club and give them a proper chance but the temptation of someone as good as Reus for such a small amount of cash relatively is just too much!
-
Fair enough. But someone like Bale for £50M would be worth it. Fabregas was an absolute steal, most players his level won't be available for that price.
