  1. Not keen on having a company with a country in their name (that isn't England) and made even worse to my mind that it's Turkey. And before anyone attacks me, that's just my opinion, I don't like Turkey and don't particularly want to see it's name next to the Chelsea badge. However, i'm not one to let my personal opinions get involved so I will be ok with this deal as long as 1) That bird logo isn't present (just the words) and 2) They pay us a decent amount of sponsorship money per year. Like £30M p/y at least (that's what Arsenal are getting and we're as big as them worldwide, and far more successful). If those 2 provisos are met then I guess i'll grow to accept and maybe even like it.
  2. I honestly won't mind that result, on one condition Mr Sunderland representative. Your boys MUST play against City & Utd exactly like that. Defend impeccably for 75mins then brutal counter-attacking for 15mins. Please? .
  3. Tbh in the last 15mins they were brilliant. I imagined that's what it must have been like for Barca/Bayern to play us in the CL in 2012!
  4. Tomorrow is not that day wouldn't have looked right.
  5. Like I said in Zouma's thread, if we're loaning Kurt to Besiktas or something then we could be getting Kalas back to be our 3rd choice CB. The more and more I think about that idea the more I like it. Kalas is more of a complete player than Zouma and is at a critical point in his career. And while I think in the end Zouma will be better I think Kalas deserves the chance at the club in the 2nd half of the season to prove himself in the Blue shirt. In a side note, fuck Cologne. They can go in the same folder as Rotherham with the stamp "Don't give these twats the time of day, let alone one of our players on loan."
  6. If Harry doesn't put him in the team over Ferdinand, Dunne and Onuoha then he's truly lost it.
  7. Zouma being loaned to Besiktas would be an incredibly strange move. He's our 3rd choice CB and has been getting some decent minutes this season so far. So either: 1) We're loaning him outand recalling Kalas from his loan (he's getting no minutes at Koln after all). 2) We're loaning him to make room for another CB that we're signing but then what does that mean for Kalas/Christensen and even Zouma himself? Surely wait til JT retires to sign another CB. 3) We're loaning him and having just Ivanovic and Christensen as replacement CBs but then that's suicide. We'll only have 5 senior defenders and will be 1/2 injuries from complete crisis like someone else mentioned. 1 would be fine in my mind, giving each of our young(ish) CBs a chance at the club being 3rd choice CB and would solve the problem of Kalas not being played at Koln and would invariably give Zouma some more minutes, albeit in a weaker league. 2 I wouldn't be keen on as it would likely mean the end of Kalas and I still rate him highly. 3 would be mental; I really doubt Mourinho would do this.
  8. The 3 or 4 times i've seen him play for Wolfsburg since he signed he's look woeful. Overhitting passes seems to be his forte. Maybe my small sample size is unfair on him, but just saying what i've seen.
  9. For me it would be: ----------------Neuer---------------- Zabaleta--Ramos--Godin--Luis- -------Lahm----------Modric------- -Muller--------------------Ronaldo- ---------Suarez------Costa--------- Bench: Courtois, Alaba, Terry, Y Toure, Bale, Robben, Ibrahimovich.
  10. Or maybe he doesn't hate him at all and people are just playing amateur psychologist too much?
  11. I wish you were right... But who would be available, cheap enough and most importantly better than what we have? Btw, LOVE your profile pic!
  12. Hmm. While I also like a good pressing game you (and a lot of others on here) need to realise that if you press too hard you will leave gaps in behind that good teams will exploit in their sleep. There are pros and cons to both standing off and high tempo pressing, you need to be adaptable and be able to use whichever is needed at the time, which I feel like we are. Maybe we should start pressing earlier on but it's not like our sitting off is costing us at all. We haven't conceded more than 1 goal in a game since the 13th September. That's 2 and a half months ago. We've played some good teams in that time too (Schalke & Arsenal at home and Man City, Everton, Man Utd, Schalke and Liverpool away). While we might not be keeping as many clean sheets as we might like, we should just accept that our style of defending (standing off that little bit longer, drawing the opposition onto us by giving them a sniff of our goal) is helping our attack and go forward ability. We've scored more than once in every game but 2 in the league this year (those 2 being both away games in Manchester where we scored 1 apiece), and that's just fantastic. Part of that has to be down to our ability to draw the opposition out of their defensive positions by allowing them more space on the outside of our box. It's just a thought, but seems logical enough to my mind. We wanted a more attacking outlook to the team and we have got it, albeit at the sacrifice of a little bit of defensive solidity.
  13. Doubt it. Have you seen their back 5 and their strikers?
  14. Probably. But it's hardly like Wenger should have any credit for only buying 1 good player to haul them to mid table.
  15. Chelsea sit back on a 2 goal lead = you moan. Chelsea go on to win 5-0 = you moan. . Difference would be Schalke kept attacking (for whatever reason) so we still had space to attack. WBA went down to 10 men and played all those 10 men just inside their box. If they're going to do that then keep the ball, watch for the counter. No need to break yourselves going for a pointless 3rd. But if they keep attacking like Schalke did then it's far simpler to attack on the counter and/or find some space for balls over the top.
  16. This is Wenger. The stubborn dinosaur will still be claiming they don't need him cos they have Wilshere.
  17. You never disappoint . Unlike @ who promises dances then renegades on said promises.
