  1. Benteke out for 6 months, ending his chance of ever joining us or probably even at top level in BPL. Can he ever come back from this?
  2. It changes nothing unless we get to semi and getting knocked out because of the other team's pure class and not mistakes like yesterday.
  3. OK so you basically just confirmed my idea that you think CL QF is better than a trophy. Precisely why you think this season is a success. Getting to the semi of CL and lose or winning the Capital One cup? I know which one I would choose. 5 points off effectively because City's 2 games in hand are really against Villa and Sunderland at home, both of which they will probably rape them. We are basically 3 points behind Pool now cause of our goal difference so even if they draw 1 of the last 6 matches they could still finish above us if they win the rest.
  4. Actually yes indeed, that is EXACTLY why he will be bought. Against Athlect(spelling) last week or Granada, do you know who scored those important goals? Countless times this season too against parked the bus defense. Of course he is not gonna bang it in from 30 yards or whatever, but he will be able to win that header from the corner and score which is what none of our striker have been able to do for God know how long. Of course he is not gonna change completely so we are not gonna move to tiki taka even if we bought Messi...etc. Actually your last point is spot on, I understand your view now and it is right.
  5. Only problem is that a world class GK is better than great Gk...the defense that conceded like lowest in the league? Come on dude, so it is either Cech has been that good that he made our crappy defense looks great or it is the other way around. Just because you have your old Porsche it is still working fine doesn't mean you should not use a gifted Ferrari Enzo for FREE(KEY WORD THERE-HINT). Yes that is the difference between our GK, one is unstoppable, the other just good in the name.
  6. I didn't expect us to win the CL/BPL but expecting SOME SORT OF CUP. Getting knocked out to fking Sunderland and City(not having a single shot on target) is UNACCEPTABLE. Oh I know who wouldn't want to be in CL? I meant you think getting knocked out of CL at QF is better than winning Europa? It means fk all what Jose says, he says craps all the time and sometime he did it on purpose to play 'mind games'. HAHAHAHA you still believe the words of a dude who said he would give Mata and Kevin chances? Or that we wouldn't sign Willian? He constantly talks crap(which is a good idea) to get the pressure off our team. So you think when he said we were aiming for top 4 he meant it? If that is the case even Harry Redknapp could do that, why bother paying him 17m(recent reports) up there with the best in the world to achieve top 4? Yeh Madrid is having a failure of a season so far because they won nothing yet. It doesn't matter if they win 90% of their games left. That 1-2 games could be semi of CL and if they lose them it means failure. Yh 4 points off them with 6 games left, we got to play Pool too so effectively 5. Also don't forget superior goal difference
  7. Doubt he had much say in it. Torres was called a Roman buy and he proved by lasting this long in the blue shirt. That also partly our scout's faults too. Too closed minded and for some reason thinking Aguero isn't worth all that or Suarez was looking to leave Ajax, but we needed a 'wow' signing and who at the time were better than Torres...
  8. Tbf they do like we are experiencing, can we play fast counter attacking with a dude whose knee got whatever is kept in it or someone who can't even run past another person, let alone a defender? Getting into goal scoring positions...etc that CHANGES A LOT. LIKE yesterday, Schurrle played meant we virtually had no one up top, effectively playing 4-6-0. Literally did because he was never seen in the box to receive the passes or crosses. Same with Liverpool, they need pace to play in their system, can they do that with Ba or Torres? Not a chance. I know strikers mean nothing if you have the likes of Damian Duff supporting but sometime they can improve others around them. Jordan Henderson now top 10 mid the league thanks to those 2 ST. Gerrard can now play those holy wood passes even more often because Sturridge always make run, likewise with Sterling.
  9. Not just on paper but actually they are better than players on most benches. You would rather have Ba or Sonogo? Schurrle or Lamela? unless you are telling me the likes of Harry Kane are actually better than Torres, Lampard...etc
  10. Actually I kinda agree with him, it really is. Sturridge and Suarez are as good examples as you can see. Now they are soon to be highest scoring duo in BPL history apparently. That DEFINITELY had a massive say in their position now. Diego Costa clear example as day, Atletico would be going no where if they had Demba Ba leading the line now. They aren't magician or superheroes but they can be very important, sometime even making a team from aiming to finish 4th to winning the league.
  11. Yeh do you think that 07-08 season was a success then? do you want us to do that regularly? Being nearly there but it is fine because it is close to 'success'? Reaching QF OF CL FOR WHAT, OMG who the hell cares? In years they will take about Chelsea being champion of 2 Europe competitions consecutively while no one give a shit about Apoel in 2 years if they reach QF(which they did like 2-3 years ago). Yh I think the better phrase would be Getting knocked out in CL QF>>>>>>>>Winning trophy Atletico are different, just like Liverpool this season are different to us. Their aim was top 4, now they are top. That is success. Our aim was as many trophy as possible, ended up with none so it is a failure. Barca might get like 85 points and still not win the league, might reach semi of CL and might not win the league. That will be a failure of a season even though it is damn great for many clubs, why? BECAUSE THEY GOT THE BEST PLAYERS IN THE WORLD. Same with our, having the 2nd/3rd best squad in the league and not challenging for title is damn shame.
  12. Oh so now we got to build our team in Jose's image for him to success? What if he decides to leave in 2 years because of whatever reason or getting sacked. Someone like Klopp takes over and start to demand his players too, we are gonna 'rebuild' again? Our bench is up there along with the best in BPL, like I said again only MU and City can possibly claim they have a better team: Bench: Mark(great GK over the years for Fulham, not even needed anyway) Torres(yh he is shit but his name still up there) Ba(goal machine for Newcastle when Arsenal got fricking Sonogo as back up) Lampard(1 of the best in BPL history, old but could still do good for lower clubs) Cole( still 1 of the best fullback around) Schurrle(German international, the team that have the likes of Reus, Gotze...etc) Mikel(shit also but again not really needed to make a difference) Point me which team got a better bench? City and MU are the only 2 I can think of. Pool who needed our own Moses to fill it for them.
  13. SPOT ON 10000000%. That is why selling Mata means nothing to me if we win CL/BPL this season. It is all about the club NOT ANY INDIVIDUAL. If selling Hazard means getting Cavani+Costa+Vidal/Pogba and win the league and making semi of CL? SO BE IT.
  14. Ah right I see sorry yh that is understandable and clearly right. I thought you were using the run as success example, which is just wrong imo.
  15. Never said they were, in fact they are really good players(apart from Mikel). Just that what you hope for them to produce here as in national team can't just happen for different reasons such as system, team mates, mentality, game approach...etc and so on. In fact most of the time for international it is basically friendlies so opponents aren't even trying as hard as the teams that actually compete at club level. For example on paper if Brazil beat South Korea 6-0 and Oscar scored a hat trick, it would have been great for us to hear but if we actually watched the match it was probably nothing more than a training session for Brazil. They haven't really been tested in real tournaments like WC or Euro yet to judge. Even the Confederation has been a bit of so so for me, even then I notice Oscar wasn't really the star for them, Fred and Neymar and Luiz were. Luiz actually didn't, you should have seen the criticism he is getting today(out of position, defensive problems...etc) have been pointed out last year too. He actually hasn't got any better, maybe even stagnated as you admitted. Remember we didn't even make it past group stage and finish like what 15 points behind MU. End up winning Europa after beating Basel, Benfica, Rubin. If that is their real level then I am worried for us as a club.
  16. Torres been at the same level since 2011, just because he scored a few tap ins every season like against City or Gala doesn't mean he has improved or declined. Mikel and Ba wasn't even that great last season anyway, Ba good start maybe but then eventually he was just like he is now. Luiz is noticeable while Oscar is the result o fatigue for me. But overall yeah I agree
  17. What cracks? crack that we doesn't have a Vidal as our other CDM? Or Courtois over Cech? Because the rest of the team as far as I can see are up there along with top 10 starting 11 in Europe. Or is the crack the manager? Who is one of the greatest in history(albeit with annoying traits somewhat and sometime irritating tactics)
  18. Luiz also best CB in the world form for Brazil too you know? And Mikel also play great for Nigeria often when he is in the team. Kevin was also best Belgium player probably in the WC qualifier.
  19. Who? City? yeh fair enough but Liverpool? The club that was in crisis a few months back and had to bring like 2 youngsters to the match against us because of injuries?
  20. And then there is this excuse about team not being 'good enough. HAHAHAHAHAHA BIGGEST RUBBISH EVER. Cech- Declining but still up there with the very best in the world, the part that Courtois who is now probably 2nd best in the world can still put up a challenge with this guy means he must be up there otherwise he would have been gone long ago. Maybe De Gea and Begovic are slightly better atm but it is 'not good enough'. Ivan-Fking hell if we were to sell him now Madrid, PSG...etc WOULD ALL JUMP IN FOR HIM. Why? Because he is ONE OF THE BEST DEFENDER IN THE LEAGUE. Scored the winner in the Europa league final too, also 'not good enough'? Terry-Best season of his career up to date? Cahill-Best English CB Dave-Possibly the best defensive Spanish defender atm and up there with Shaw and Baines as best in the league Matic-Possibly top 5 CDM in the world. Tell volumes when he is signed for 25m and we knew we were getting a bargain Ramires-Not the best by any mean but along the fastest player in the league and hard worker. Capable of producing moments. Would get into probably all the teams in England bar Man City Hazard- Need I say more? Oscar-Brazil no1 at CAM, the position that they usually have the best in the world. He is NO 1 AT 22 and that speaks volume for itself. Willian-OK hardly any end product but there is a reason why he was considered one of the best CAM in Europe a couple of years ago. Still better than most attacking mid in the league, again would get into any team apart from maybe City. The fact that both Spurs and Pool tried to sign him says it all ST-OK SHIT but then again the 10 players in the team are better than almost every single team in the league bar 1-2 at best. MU IS THE ONLY OTHER TEAM that can claim they have a squad as good or better than our but they are fucking in 7th so it means they probably aren't. Don't tell me Arsenal with Ozil(who has been terrible) and Pool with Suarez, Gerrard, Sturridge got a better team than us?
  21. What? this season is a failure even if we get to CL final and lose and end up trophy less. TROPHY IS THE BAROMETER OF SUCCESS DUDE. Agreed just happened to be the 3 lost in the CRUCIAL PERIOD. It is like that 07-08 season all over again, just a draw to Wigan to end our title hope and a CL Final lost. Guess that season was a success too right because we came close in both competitions? Maybe I am acting like a spoiling brat here but most of the fans would agree with me, our EXPECTATIONS AND AMBITIONS are high. We are not Arsenal who just wants a goof run in CL and top 4 every season. We want to be challenging and coming close to every single trophy possible. Liverpool went on 7 games winning streak or so atm, Man City only lost like twice in the league in the last 5 months. Barca/Madrid/Atletico all winning like 85% of their games, Bayern finished the league in March. PSG more than 10 points clear at the top, Arsenal earlier this season also had a period similar to our own but then fked up against big teams and now only 3 POINTS BEHIND, YEP THAT IS RIGHT 3 FRICKING POINTS AFTER GETTING HAMMERED at 3 top teams. Btw, we lost to Villa like 2 weeks ago too... Naaa not winning the league is fine for me, I think City was always gonna do it. Yep now apparently 'close' to success is OK for this club. Is this the same club that sacked Jose, Ancelotti, Scolari for signs of faltering or finishing 2nd? What has changed? We still spend more than £50m every year, now the expectations can drop too? It is not like we are signing Kim Kallstrom for fk sake, we are signing Eden Hazard, Willian, Oscar, Eto'o, Matic...etc in the last 2 years. Challenging the league is the VERY MINIMUM EXPECTED.
  22. Repair='buying players that I WANT and will fit my philosophy' False promise='not upsetting the fans but already decided they need to GTFO anyway so slowly isolate then get rid'
  23. Definitely did today by starting him...anonymous YET AGAIN apart from the pen.
