  1. We are having a laugh! Top of the table! We are having a laugh! Top of the table! What a match. Hard to find any negatives, other than falling a sleep a couple of times when going up by two. Costa? Boom! Wow. Great runs and a thunderous shot. And some on here questioned the signing in the summer Great, great win. Way to finish one out and take the full three points you Blues! Celebrate my Chelsea brothers! Number one in the PL Come on you Chelsea! :blue scalf: :blue scalf: :blue scalf: :blue scalf: :blue scalf: :blue scalf:
  2. Come on you Blues! Man City falls on their face, let's take the Toffees and head to the mini-break undefeated. I like the lineup and I'll say Chelsea wins 3-1. I'll go with Hazard, Willian and Fabregas. Come on you Chelsea! :blue scalf: :blue scalf:
  3. Great 3 points lads! Probably struggled to win this one last year and more likely a draw. Enough about comparisons to last year though, we are off and running at the top the table! A little too calm in the first half. Did not see enough urgency until later in the half. Thought we were in control in the second half, even with the couple of good opportunities Leicester had. Courtois really showed what his massive frame can do in a couple of awesome saves. He got left on an island a few of times. I think he is starting to settle in now. Glad to have him patrolling the box. Costa is not going to win any track meets. Certainly not one of quickest players. He gets beat to loose balls a fair amount. BUT he makes up for his lack of quickness with his hustle, power and just sheer nose for the goal. He knows how to find the net when the ball finds him in the box with a thunderous shot. Oscar played much better today. Thought Matic looked sharp. Schurrle his always energetic self. Willian looked tuned in as well when he came on. How awesome will it be to see Drogba find the net at the Bridge again Glad to see Hazard finally looking in form. He looked like himself in the second half with his passes and late goal. Rarely saw this in the World Cup. Curious when we will see Luis. I want to see how his skills will effect our forwards when he presses up the pitch, although Ivanovic really got offensive today and I thought made a tremendous difference with our offense when he pressed forward more and more. He handle himself really well working open in the box to feed Diego Costa for the first goal. Good day to be at Fulham Broadway! Top of the table! Come on you Chelsea!! :blue scalf: :blue scalf:
  4. What a pleasure to watch this squad play. Really looking forward to the rest of the year! The additions of Fabregas and Costa seem to have really raised the others skills as well, which is what we all had hoped for. Come on you Chelsea!! :blue scalf: :blue scalf:
  5. No worries mate. We comfortably held onto the 2 goal lead and considering the wet pitch, sustained no injuries. Much better result than last year in similar scenarios
  6. Let's take care of business and bury this relegation fodder, 5-1 or 6-1. I realize Burnley may be the worst team in the league, but after our struggles and offensive prowess (lack there of) late last season vs weak clubs, it would be great to make a statement and get our run to the title off and flying. First goal, win the match. Second goal, bury them! Come on you Chelsea! :blue scalf: :blue scalf:
  7. Man, this club is fun to watch. Better than sex on most days
  8. Oh, my! The passing. GOAL Schurrle!! :blue scalf: :blue scalf:
  9. Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Costa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. Let's get this season started! 5-0 good guys (Costa 2, Shurrle, Matic and Fabregas) OK, I'll take a one goal win, but I am aiming high for tonight. Come on you Chelsea :blue scalf: :blue scalf:
  11. Though it is true, as many have said, there are no easy PL matches, I want to see this year's squad immediately shake the dust of late season flops from late last year vs West Brom, Sunderland, Norwich, etc and DOMINATE from the opening bell this year and march to the title! I think you will see a hungry club Monday. Come on you Chelsea!
  12. Ready to start the path to the title on Monday! Club looked engaged tonight at home and I expect them to be the same Monday night. Can't wait to get it started. Off season moves have really filled the gaps. Come on you Chelsea and hurry up Monday! :blue scalf: :blue scalf: Carefree, wherever we may be We are the famous CFC And we don't care Whoever you may be 'Cause we are the famous CFC
  13. JT and Ivanovic up front are unstoppable Ready for the regulars to begin trickling into the lineup as we go along with these friendlies. Just four more weeks til its for real. Come on you Chelsea! :blue scalf:
  14. Woo-hoo! Welcome to the Blues, Diego! Can't wait for August to see Cesc and Diego in Blue. Who is next on our list before opening day? :blue scalf: :blue scalf:
  15. Be patient everyone. Relax. As many have stated, so many top players have looked absolutely exhausted, especially Spain. Costa is an upgrade. Period. Are there better strikers? Sure. But definitely a big improvement. Once Fabregas gets the midfield moving, all will fall into place up front. Let's not turn Costa into Torres before he even signs
  16. Really odd reporting here in the States. During ESPN's coverage of Brazil's 3-1 WC win, the ticker at the bottom of the screen kept scrolling, "Chelsea follows last week's signing of Diego Costa with today's signing of Cesc Fabregas...." Is it official and just not announced?
  17. What a day! Nice way to kickoff the World Cup with this news that pushes the Blues to being the favourite in the PL. My Arsenal friends have now moved to the 10th floor ledge. Won't take much more to go over. :blue scalf: :blue scalf:
  18. It has been a good run this year in all competitions. Disappointing in some ways (see Sunderland, Villa, etc), but lots of highs (sweeping City and the Pool). At the start of the season, I am not sure many thought we would challenge as deep into the CL as we did or win the PL, which we probably should have based on the results vs the other top 4. Lots of excitement all year. Made my first trip to the Bridge after flying in from the US. Already working on a trip next year, but need to wait until the schedule is released to get some ideas. I think we need to go out and play wide open and to win these last two. Have some fun but focus on the 3 points each game to keep pressure on the other two. Who knows, they could just trip up. This weekend probably is the last home match for Lampard and Cole I suppose. Who else is most likely in BLUE at the Bridge for the last time? Will Terry come back for one more year (I think yes). Torres-Ba-Eto'o......all of them gone? Luiz and Oscar? I think they may sell Oscar. I feel he had a poor second half. Seemed to get worn down. Ramires? Have to think Courtois is back home at Chelsea next year in place of Cech. Lukaku stays at Everton I think. Just don't feel he is in Jose's plans. Then again, maybe he comes back, you pick up a striker in the summer and keep Ba or Torres. Will be interesting transfer period. I think the stage has been set for 2014-15. Come on you Chelsea! :blue scalf:
  19. Biggest match of the year. What are you expecting up front? Willian - Oscar - Hazard Eto'o ? Any chance Torres or Ba gets the start? Everyone else agree that it will be..... Schwarzer Azpilicueta - Terry - Cahill - Ivanovic Luiz - Ramires Come on you Chelsea!! :blue scalf: :blue scalf:
  20. To all Chelsea fans today, celebrate and enjoy!! Wow, what a day. Kudos to Jose and the boys. What coaching, tactics and effort. Voted for Matic for MOTM. Anyone got a GIF of his memorable dribble? Obviously, Schwarzer and Kalas played great as did everyone really. Even though Ba was appropriately described as Bambi on ice, dude delivered. As did Torres with the assist. Say what you will, but he did not screw it up! Great job Torres! Loved Mourinho's celebration. Happy for those that traveled to Anfield to cheer on the Chels! Looked like great fun after Willan walked in the last goal. Come on you Chelsea!! :blue scalf: :blue scalf:
  21. Let's put the Sunderland debacle behind us and get after it today. A win today goes a long way towards a possible CL title! Intriguing lineup. May just be the recipe we need. Come on you Chelsea! :blue scalf: :blue scalf:
  22. Well, made it to the Bridge for a game for the first time and behold, I witness history. The wrong type of history. So glad I made the trip over from the States, but wish we could have gotten the result. Really enjoyed the atmosphere. Great venue. Fans were great. Again, the result was rubbish. Flying home Monday. I will get to watch game vs Aletico live back at home. Let's focus on the CL now. If Cech plays today, do we win? Come on you Chelsea!!
