  1. Yes! What a day! City rolls over and is owned the second half at Anfield to drop all three points. JT sparks us just before the half and then we own the second half and take the Cup!! Again, what a day! Awesome to see all of the Blue Flags flying high at Wembley at the end of the match. Everyone on here was freaking out before the match that Jose had lost his mind or was playing for PKs. Turned out that after a slow start from Zouma at DM, he played quite well in the second half. Cahill played well. The offense came alive and we got decent chances. And most of all we shut that Harry guy down. What was his name again? Azpilicueta. What else do you have to say? Great to see Costa get off the snide as well with a boomer from close range. Don't care if it was deflected. I will give John Terry my MotM. Great skipper. He got that party started today before the rain. By the way, I love seeing Jose celebrate. I think the guys love him for being part of it. Come on you Chelsea!! :blue scalf: :blue scalf:
  2. And everybody thought Jose got it wrong before the game. Ha! Harry who? Completely bossed the second half. Azpilicueta just a beast. Raise that Cup boys in Blue! Come on you Chelsea!!
  3. Okay, you Blues fans, let's hear you! Man City drops three points and we can win the first Cup of the year! Let's get after these guys from the opening whistle. We have some big payback. Very anxious to see the starting XI. The Ramires-Fabregas midfield has struggled for us this year. Hope its a little different. I prefer Zouma today over Cahill most certainly. Let's get it on already. Come on you Chelsea!! :blue scalf: :blue scalf:
  4. Perhaps. I was thinking the same thing. It frees their mind perhaps to go out and play all out and be loose. It certainly does not hurt and I believe it helps.
  5. I have been waiting to post. Needed to let the emotions subside. First, regardless of the decisions or lack thereof during the match, we should be able to finish off Burnley. We just weren't focused enough the first 25 minutes of the second half to do what a top of table team should do to a relegation fodder squad. Its on us for not getting 2 or 3 goals ahead even with the atrocious display of officiating. That all being said, what a bunch of garbage that was yesterday. #30 for Burnley, who shall remain nameless, should have been sent off several times prior to the "straight red card" attack on Matic. We are fortunate Matic is not lost for the season with a horrific injury. Though it hurts us, Matic's response was fully understandable and in many ways was more representative of the entire club's frustration coming out for the poor officiating that has gone against Chelsea all season. It gets old. I think it is galvanizing the players, club and fans as one in an effort to overcome these agendas. The blatant handball and penalty on Costa are laughable. I will give the media pundits some credit, in the UK, US and around the world, they all agree that there were many egregious calls in this match against the Blues and it is becoming a recurring theme. Jose will surely rally the squad with an "us" vs the FA mentality. Let's get after it from here through the end of May. I want to be there when we hoist the Barclay's Trophy and stick it to the FA. OK, rant off. Let's get ready for Spurs. Come on you Chelsea!! :blue scalf: :blue scalf:
  6. Will miss Willian today but like the shake up in the lineup today. Come on you Chelsea!!
  7. Let's put these guys out of their misery early and win going away for a nice change of pace. Zouma please. Would like to see Cuadrado while Fabregas moved back with Ramires in the bench for this one. Come on you Chelsea!! :blue scalf: :blue scalf:
  8. Well, got a decent result I suppose at 1-1, but really poor overall after looking like we might salvage a poor start based on the way we finished the 1st half. First truly bad performance from Diego. Made Torres' performances last year look stellar. Remy would have been a better choice as it turns out. Diego healthy? Fabregas needs to be moved back to his normal position. Oscar I suppose needs to come back in. Really surprised that they bossed us around at times. The were carving up our back line like a prime rib at times. They must have had four or five great looks inside the box. Courtois easy MotM. All things considered, better than 3-1 result there last year. Rally the troops and take out these guys at the Bridge in a few weeks. Come on you Chelsea!! :blue scalf: :blue scalf:
  9. Here we go. Finish the guys off into the Paris night!
  10. Solid half after a couple of shaky moments early. Come on you Chelsea and finish it out!! :blue scalf: :blue scalf:
  11. Wooooooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwww!! Terry to Cahill to Ivanovic. The back line look like attacking forwards
  12. Let's get aggressive. Come on you Chelsea!! :blue scalf: :blue scalf: Should we be concerned with Courtois' lack of confidence on some of these long crosses?
  13. You know, I really dislike these guys. Went to Paris last year. Don't care for the club. Ba's goal last year is still one of the best finishes. Hope it still hurts. And just for our friends, a little walk down memory lane below I really want to see us come out and attack with an early goal. I know Jose likes to play defensively on the road in the 1st leg of UCL knockout stage matches, but let's get a well rested Diego free or Hazard. Cannot wait to watch this one live on TV Tuesday. Come on you Chelsea!! :blue scalf: :blue scalf:
  14. Thanks for the full explanation. Very helpful. Cheers! Come on you Chelsea!! :blue scalf: :blue scalf:
  15. Isn't Cuadrado "cup tied" for the UCL this year due to the January signing?
  16. Agree 100%. This was perhaps the biggest "non-event" event in the EPL in years. What a joke. The pundits tried to create an incident immediately following the match. Jose's "don't make me laugh" says it all.
  17. Great three points this evening! Wow, Cech was unreal. Matic was a boss all night. Thought we dominated. Cuadrado look good. But I have to give my MotM to Willian as he has continuely worked so hard match after match and has struggled to put it in the net, but tonight he got a HUGE goal late! Willian is the man tonight. Nice to finally win with a late goal, though similar to Terry last year vs Everton at the Bridge, also 1-0. Just keep winning mates and the league title will take care of itself :D Come on you Chelsea!! :blue scalf: :blue scalf:
  18. Shaky performance at times, especially first twenty minutes of second half. But Remy was a must sub for Drogba and slowly took back the match. I thought Courtois was shaky at times too. Willian was after it all game. Willian MotM! We will be okay when everyone is back. Need Costa. Tough place for us to get 3 points, so let's take them and get ready for the Toffees! What awesome results in the end! Gained 2 more and 7 clear! Come on you Chelsea!
  19. Five points clear, just take care of our own business and we should march on to the title. It starts here at Villa, where we stumbled last year. They cannot score. We should take care of business this time around. Let's get out ahead early and keep going. Any chance we see Caudrado, at least late? Hopefully, the bench will be better for this one. Any word on why Mikel, Fabregas or Luis will not be available Saturday? Come on you Chelsea!! :blue scalf: :blue scalf:
