  1. Let's win this one going away, like 3-0. I know we need to be defensive minded in the second half and protect the lead, but how great would a couple of more goals be and a 3-0 win? We are due for a statement win. By the way, what a great assist from Oscar and finish by Eden. A win today almost makes next weeks match at the Emirates irrelevant (in the BPL title race) but just good old fashioned fun to beat the Gooners! Come on you Chelsea!!
  2. Well, guess we are playing for the 0-0 result based on our starting XI. Perhaps we can get a couple of counters in the first half that will produce a goal or two, otherwise we will park the double decker in the second half. A draw is not terrible in the BPL title hunt, but I'd really like to beat these clowns! I would have preferred Remy and Willian. Come on you Chelsea!!
  3. Well, a really disjointed performance, if you can even call it a performance, that somehow we stumble across one opportunity (thanks to Eden) and Cesc did make it hurt for QPR. Hazard, Terry and Courtois probably had the best games today, but yes, I did vote Cesc for MOTM because of the fact he DID take advantage of the opportunity Hazard presented and slid the lone shot on goal home. I can think of many that would have whiffed (Willian?). We just keep on marching to the title. However, we certainly cannot have this performance next Saturday for sure. It will be beyond ugly if so. Will Remy be back by then? I have not seen a full injury report so I do not know the extent of his issue. We need him down the stretch. As much as it pains me to say, playing with Drogba these days for 90 mins is like playing with 10 men. Mix in the combo of Drogba and Cuadrado and it's like playing with 8 1/2 men. Come on you Chelsea!! :blue scalf: :blue scalf:
  4. Not sure how often this lineup will find the net, which probably means we will score 8 today!! Come on you Chelsea!!
  5. Hello my Chelsea lads! Another 3 points on our march to raising the BPL Trophy in 2015! We just can't win one by 2+ goals can we? Seriously though, felt like we owned the match and the only thing that was going to keep us from all three points was fluke goals. Oh, wait, had one of those did they? Well, it was going to take two of those. It would be nice to win one going away with a 3 or 4 goal victory, but cannot really complain at all about today's efforts. I was really not sure about the addition of Remy back in the fall, but I am big fan now. He has really grown on me the past 3 - 4 months. Another nice game. Hazard is the heart of this club. He picks the team up and puts them on his shoulders at times. Matic had a solid game and Cesc looked much better. Willian's dribbling and possession was terrific. Back line was solid and Cahill looked steady. I know its early, but just am shocked how out of place Cuadrado looks on the pitch. He is soooooooooo small too. He struggles to maintain possession. He just does not look like BPL ready. I would take everyone we have lost this year in place of him, Schurrle, etc. But who knows, maybe he will settle down eventually. Another great Saturday afternoon and three more points closer to the title! Come on you Chelsea!! :blue scalf: :blue scalf:
  6. Glad the International break is over. Back to our Chels now. I am not getting all the Cuadrado love, unless people are just wanting to see him for 90 minutes for a change. Come on you Chelsea!! :blue scalf: :blue scalf:
  7. Nice first 15 minutes, atrocious next 30 minutes. Slightly above average second half with few good shots or creativity BUT we did control the second half except for one flurry late by Hull and we found the winner! Glad that Remy got on and found the net. Hazard was his non-stop self. Love Willian's work rate, but he is just a step slow (fatigued?) and our back line was just unspeakable today, so I won't. Need to get Azpilicueta back in the lineup as well as Zouma. Oscar was a nice change today for the final 20 or so minutes I thought. Nothing special but nothing bad either. Bottom line is that we pulled out THREE massive points. Trust me, those were really deflating three points for everyone chasing, especially the way the ball trickled over the goal line Enjoy the international break and let's hope Jose reaches the guys soon and we sprint to the finish line like champs! Come on you Chelsea!! :blue scalf: :blue scalf:
  8. Well, Chels, if you want the title, we need to show it now. Second half better be the best half of the season. Come on yiu Chelsea!!
  9. Its a big one today mates! Let's have a laugh and win big, no? I really would like to see Luis and Remy today in the lineup. Would not mind seeing Petr Cech either. Regardless, I am pumped to push our lead back to 6 points with a game at hand. Come on you Chelsea!! :blue scalf: :blue scalf:
  10. Do not leave us now! I understand your frustrations, but most people are just venting because they love the Chels so much and know the quality we are capable of. Do not let it turn you off. We all support the club unconditionally, most any way , and this forum provides a place to blow off some steam from time to time. You have a keen eye for the game and your posts are appreciated. Hang with us. Come on you Chelsea!! :blue scalf: :blue scalf:
  11. Well, at least that first half is over and hopefully we do not see one like it again. Second half as most everyone has noted was much better with 3 or 4 clear opportunities that just did not find their way in, especially the one from JT late. Fabregas is either distracted, tired, uninterested or something because he has been poor of late. Match commentators continually highlighted his poor passes and giveaways. I could not disagree. After such early promise, he needs to pull it together. Agree that Oscar seems to not even be on the pitch most of the game. I realize that Cuadrado has rarely seen the pitch since coming over, but wow, just wow. I was afraid he was going to wet himself. There is a difference between playing poor and not belonging. I think we would have some youth team players that would have had more composure today. Salah would have done better today than Cuadrado and I am not saying we need him back, just using as a comparison. I also know Schurrle did not fit with Jose's system, but he would be a nice change of pace compared to what we have now. How many true options do we have? Drogba, love the guy, but the game has passed him by. Cuadrado? Maybe next year. Maybe. Remy is a legitimate choice off the bench as is Ramires. Zouma and Luis in the back and that's it. If we can get 4-6 points out of Man United, Liverpool and Arsenal, we will be okay. Anything less and it will be real close at the end. The season probably comes down to the other 7 games: at Hull, Stoke, at QPR, at Leicester, Crystal Palace, at WBA and Sunderland. Can we take 18-21 points in those? The team from last year's stretch run is starting to show up again. We are not scoring any more goals than with Torres and Eto'o. Need to get back to form and win some easily for a change. Come on you Chelsea!! :blue scalf: :blue scalf:
  12. I don't disagree when considering Arsenal's form, BUT it is really all about us and our performance here on out. We take care of business and we hoist the trophy. We will drop some points given some of our remaining games, but just take care of the clubs we are supposed to and we will be celebrating in May!
  13. Come on you Chelsea!! I had a feeling Burnley would play out of their mind today and knew it is difficult to breakdown their back line. Yes, hooray for Burnley! Glad to see City not get a penalty call late. It was not even as close as the "no calls" Costa has experienced 4 or 5 times in the BPL this season. Burnley just out hustled City all day long. Glad we are done with those guys as they are fighting for their BPL lives. We took 4 out of 6 from Burnely, City took 1 out of 6 points! Oh, my! I am pumped for tomorrow. Glad the City match was today as I think with them losing it will help us shake any "funk" left over from Wednesday night and really energize us to come out focused and get the 3 points. Any chance that Remy gets the start tomorrow? I know Jose will probably want to keep Costa in so that it does not become a mental thing and he needs to get back on the score sheet, but I thought Remy played well vs City (with a goal no less) and his movement might be a good change for tomorrow. Come on you Chelsea!! :blue scalf: :blue scalf:
  14. Well, 2 hours later, and it still sucks. But PSG perhaps deserved to win the 1st leg and definitely this one. They played the aggressor the entirety of both matches. They never backed down. They looked to score and played physical. We looked like the underdog and showed fear when PSG was on the attack in my opinion. I don't get it. From the point of the red card, you would have thought we were playing with 10 men or maybe even 9. Though I cannot stand PSG, give them all the credit and a well deserved victory. Truth is, even with a victory tonight, unless we had drawn an easy opponent (are there really any left at this point?), we would not have been advancing much further. I saw no way we would get to the Final. We are not in the top 5 in Europe. As for us, we look really exhausted, even with the week off. The small rotation of about 14 players appears to be taking its toll now. Its kind of like last year at this time when we started losing or drawing to the likes of West Brom. Villa, Sunderland, etc. Fabregas and Costa look completely worn out. I am ready to see Remy given a shot, maybe even this Saturday. Love Drogba, but he should not be in the starting XI. I actually miss Schurrle and his energy. We could have used him tonight. Not sure Cuadrado is equal to Schurrle, but we have not seen enough yet I suppose. I am still with this club. I will be right back in front of the TV Sunday. Hope the players forget about it, move on, and start that march to hoisting the BPL trophy. No more distractions. One competition and one goal. Come on you Chelsea!! :blue scalf: :blue scalf:
  15. Second half about to kick off, get ready for an intense 45+ minutes. Please put these clowns out of their misery early in the half. Don't sit on 0-0 score. Come on you Chelsea!! :blue scalf: :blue scalf:
  16. Agree with many on here, Oscar needs to come off, Willian on. Very physical match and high emotions. Not a good combination especially when an over reaction by Oscar results in 10-10. PSG can still find a goal somewhere, so we MUST take advantage of the numbers and get a goal. Come on you Chelsea!! :blue scalf: :blue scalf:
  17. Agreed. They have come through their toughest second half stretch, which is why they have dropped some points. Honestly, it is all about us now. The most points they can finish with would be 88 if they will them all. They will probably have one or two draws somewhere (MU or Spurs?) so 83-86 point is probably where they finish. Most we can finish with is 96. We still have Man U and Liverpool at home and Arsenal at Emirates. Probably would take 5 or 6 points out of those possible 9. We just need to take care of our own business from here on out. Come on you Chelsea!! :blue scalf: :blue scalf:
  18. Massive win today. What an effort. Hazard and Courtois MoTM for me. Where is the poll by the way? Champions doing what champions do - taking care of business Though it was not easy at all. Zouma has played admirably at DM, but ready for Matic to return. How many chances did we have at their end in the second half that we should have scored? 3 or 4 great looks? Guess the same could be said for WHU too. Still at 5 points and a match at hand. Only 10 more for City. Great end to the day. Come on you Chelsea!! :blue scalf: :blue scalf:
  19. How about a nice counter for a goal and 2-0 lead late? Come on you Chelsea!! :blue scalf: :blue scalf:
  20. I am not sure we have really sat back today, we have had two or three good looks but no luck in the second half. They have had some spells where they just absolutely controlled possession unfortunately.
  21. Come on guys, get possession and kill this thing off. Way too much pressure in our area.
  22. A bit hectic now. Too many good chances for WHU for me. We have certainly been a bit unlucky at the other end. Come on you Chelsea!! :blue scalf: :blue scalf:
