  1. I don't give a fuck about all that crap! What I really care about mostly, is their performance on the pitch! Benzema is a quality young player. Okay, La Liga might not be the scene for him, but he might enjoy the Premier League more.
  2. It all depends whether or not our young players will be good enough to replace the players that have gone. Deco, Joe Cole, Carvalho, Ballack etc. Those are big names! I guess we all have to have faith in Carlo, and hope he delivers the goods! We can only hope this 4 game losing streak is not going to last!
  3. I do like the look of that shirt!
  4. Agree 100% I think that's why we should invest in someone better than him in his position. Maybe Benzema, Aguero, Neymar...
  5. I'd go with this formation, should Cech and Alex become fit for West Brom.... -----Cech----- -----Ivanovic-----Alex-----Terry-----A.Cole----- -----Mikel----- -----Essien-----Lampard----- -----Anelka-----Drogba-----Malouda----- Subs: Turnbull (GK), Ferreira, Zhirkov, Benayoun, Ramires, Kalou, Kakuta If Alex and Cech aren't fit, then Turnbull I reckon should get the nod over Hilario in goal, shift Ivanovic into CB alongside Terry, and put Ferreira at right-back. Jeffrey Bruma can be added to the bench. If Ramires can sign before Saturday, bring him on from the bench in the second half for maybe, Mikel. Chelsea are known for bringing on new signings from off the bench, they don't usually put them straight into the starting XI. Prime example, Ashley Cole's debut was off the bench against Charlton in 2007.
  6. ahhh yeah that's exactly what I was thinking! Hopefully, Ramires has told him some good things
  7. Just got subbed off! In full fitness!! Ah I feel alright now!!
  8. I would have been happy with Bruma/Hutchinson/RvA as understudies before pre-season started, but I'm hugely worried about the fact that they could be severely vulnerable somewhat.... we really do need someone with a bit of pedigree. David Luiz will give us that.
  9. No I'm not, I'm just assuming someone was going to come and close it because a deal's been agreed now!
  10. We might as well close this thread.... the proper thread for the news is up now LINK
  11. Horrible news! I really wanted us to keep him. But in all fairness, you can't keep a player who has ambitions elsewhere. get a bid for David Luiz prepared!
  12. Suddenly, a decent bid for David Luiz doesn't seem like a bad idea!
  13. This is an upsetting day... it really is! Good luck at Real Madrid Rickaaay! Such a pleasure supporting you and naming you after the character in EastEnders! :tophat:
  14. I recall Ferguson saying he had faith in his squad and didn't need to buy anyone else, so you could be wrong there! Real Madrid have the likes of VDV and Kaka (when he's fit again) to be used as playmakers. Even Ozil would have problems shifting those two players. Barcelona, although they've missed out on Fabregas, they have been blooding young players on their tour. .... that leaves just us .... .... and to think as well Werder have said in a report that Ozil could be joining either us or United.
  15. Knowing that at the current time our defence has looked very shaky during pre-season, this is very bad news! However, a sale of Carvalho could allow a new foreign aquisition to the side. Maybe Ozil or Benzema (and yes I am serious about Benzema! You might think he's a flop, but the fact of the matter is, he might prefer the Premier League than Spain, and his performances might shine through, as he would have more opportunities with us than what he currently has at Real; keeping a bench warm, while the likes of Raul, Ronaldo, Kaka get all the fame).
  16. But Diego wants to stay at Juve! I would agree with you on the buy though, he's a good playmaker, and at 25 too!
  17. Scousers know absolutely fuck all! That's why they steal stuff for a living!
  18. Fucking Internationals! If he gets injured, there's no way he'll sign for us because he would not be able to pass any medical!
  19. RIP Sinclair.... another Englishman gone from our clutches! I thought his speed was an important aspect of his game. Such a shame we had to sell him
  20. A home grown player, is someone who has been in England/Wales for three years before his 21st birthday I think, so Terry and Mancienne in this case would both qualify as home-grown players because they played at Chelsea before they reached 21. I think it's a nice way to improve the youth system. It gives young players a chance in the side. One reason it might not be a decent idea however, is the fact that there won't be as many world stars in the league, and the popularity worldwide might drop!
  21. That's what makes the whole damn thing embarassing to be honest. United can sort deals out quickly... we can't!
