  1. Work Permit paperwork takes days to come through! We had the same problem with Alex when he signed with us. People kept saying that he would need to stay for another season at PSV because it took ages for the paperwork to be accepted. It does take time. I'm sure the Chelsea faithful can get it sorted!! We have until the end of this month to get it completed so I don't see a problem..... *hopes*
  2. However, the Daily Mail reports that Santos are considering reporting Chelsea to FIFA for tapping up the player. --- Yes I'm looking forward to seeing Neymar wearing a Chelsea shirt, but that line worries me! I don't want this to shape itself into a Gael Kakuta conundrum!
  3. Well, I'd love it if we had the money to pay his monster wages every week! I catch your drift nonetheless
  4. Yeah I agree! You'd rather wait 2 more years to sign him if that were the case! Only problem is, the better he gets with age, the more interest there will be in him, and we'll find it a lot harder to sign him.
  5. :541: :541: what a load of cobblers United are!!
  6. I fear he's going to be Ancelotti's golden loanee soon
  7. I'm going for Kalou. Too selfish, shoots wayward, and doesn't perform well in big games. Anelka should stay and offer us experience.
  8. I reckon he'll sign today, and be presented tomorrow!
  9. I'm pleased he's agreed to join us, but I really do fear about this "tapping up" affair, and that we could be reported to FIFA by Santos
  10. Great way to be showing how we're reducing the age of our squad. Sign Benayoun who's 30, and loan out Bertrand and Cork to yet another set of Championship clubs. It's pointless and disgraceful.
  11. I've seen worser kits than that one to be honest, the flurescent away shirt we had was atrocious. I actually do like it
  12. Ohh Dear! It looks as though we're going to have to play it cool with this transfer then. We don't want to be on the recieving end of a fine or even a second transfer embargo!
  13. Seriously? I don't think I'd play Salomon Kalou after his poor performance against United.
  14. I honestly feel it's because of the League he's playing in. As I said before, maybe he isn't getting the best out of his game because La Liga isn't for him. The Premier League is a different league altogether, and it could be best suited for a player of his calibre.
  15. Well, now that we have let Carvalho go, we could do with an "as-good as" if not better centre half than him. David Luiz is probably the likely player to replace him, a bit pricey but if it's worth bringing him in, he'll be an excellent player to have, and will give us a whole load of options as far as our defence is concerned. If we can't sign him, then I wouldn't say it's bad news, I think we can cope. Ivanovic can play both Right back and centre back, and don't forget Bos will be returning soon, so with him coming back, it'll be like a new signing almost because he hasn't played for us since last November I think. And not forgetting the likes of Jeffrey Bruma (who is a CENTRE BACK not a right back Mr. Ancelotti!!) As for the other possible signing, I don't know if it should be either a striker or a goalkeeper. I would feel a goalkeeper is more of the priority simply because Hilario and Turnbull are just not good enough for my liking. I think if we really are going to go for Asmir Begovic, then Stoke are going to put up one hell of a fight with us over for him, because they too are having trouble with getting home-grown players for their side, as well as us. We could also go for a striker. Neymar is the player standing first in line of our interest. Sergio Aguero, much as I would love to see him wearing royal blue, is just far too pricey, Enrique Cerezo the Atletico president expects him to stay as well. The good thing about Aguero however, is that we own first refusal on him, so if we wanted to sign him and offer a big sum of money for his services... we could. But apparently Abramovich doesn't want to fight tooth and nail to try and bring the player's price down. Maybe only £20 million max, but Aguero, according to Cerezo is worth double that, so fuck it. One other player I wouldn't mind seeing in a Chelsea shirt (although I do expect some disagreements over this) is Karim Benzema. I don't know but something tells me that he is the type player we need. He's bulky, he's strong, he has the ability to get into the box and score from impossible angles, and he's an excellent poacher. I don't know why he is sitting on a bench at Real Madrid watching the likes of Ronaldo, Kaka, Higuain et al get all the fame, and he just keeps a bench warm. It's wasted talent, but he's 22, and I reckon snagging him for a good sum of money is a good steal I think. In conclusion, I feel that Ramires #4, David Luiz #6 and Karim Benzema #9 should be the 3 summer signings we make before the window closes.
  16. Those were the days when big Marcel was JT's mentor
  17. I didn't like Kenyon much for his slow progress in making deals for players, but his business part of the club was second to none. He will be truely missed I reckon! Does anyone actually know what he's going to do now??
  18. Neymar is a winger and a striker dude!
  19. Can I just say... if Begovic wants to play first team football, does he actually believe he can out-start a fit Petr Cech?? I'm not sure he can! No point in persuing him I reckon. We need a keeper who won't have a problem contesting Cech, i.e. a keeper who is not going to be bothered with not being first choice, but is highy-rated. Maybe someone like Johan Wiland from FC Copenhagen!
  20. It was either Sturridge or Kakuta for me, I couldn't choose, I think Kakuta has more speed in him down the wing, so I chose him instead.
