It would make sense bidding for Asmir Begovic from Stoke, but even they were being bitchy about the price for him in the summer, so there wasn't much luck with him. Yeah I definitely agree. Cech bar this game has made some top performances in the last few weeks. Without him there we'd still be struggling for form at the moment. He's made some quality saves and has somewhat been our best player at times because he's kept us in the game whatever the score. Have to say, neither Turnbull nor Hilario would emulate that.

yeah I agree, ruining him in a sense that we don't use him enough. Like TX says, it would be another Daniel Sturridge case.

I see where you're coming from, I think Carroll is a great striker. Would be a much cheaper option, but £30 million is still a large sum of money IMO.

Is it true that in 2 days, Roman Abramovich will open the chequebook for £50 million Torres, as well as spending at least the other £50 million on the likes of Pedro Leon and possibly another bid for David Luiz?? I only ask because there has been a newspaper report about it in the Mirror today. Question is... would you like us to spend £100 million in two days, or is it much too late for it??
