I'm going a little off topic here, but Bertand needs opportunities next season. He's at an age now where he could quite happily make the left back position his own. He has a tough task shifting Ashley Cole but he says that it's an honour to have him there as a mentor, so it will only improve his game if he is there guiding him. I hear what you're saying about Kyle Walker though. I think we need someone who is a gifted right-sided player, and someone who, not only can defend but also get forward at conveniant times where necessary. Quite frankly, we had the chance to keep Glen Johnson at the club, but we never allowed him the chances because of Ferreira's participation (later Bosingwa) and we loaned him to Portsmouth, which turned into a permanent deal. We even had the chance to buy him back from Portsmouth and we never did. Instead he went to Liverpool. You're right though, finding a decent right back these days is very difficult. I mean, even Van der Wiel is seeing bad moments at Ajax, when everyone thought he had a relatively good World Cup in South Africa, so it's hard to decipher. It's really hard to determine how well Kyle Walker would do for Chelsea if they don't have a registered interest in the player. I've heard a lot of good things about him though.
