Nothing we know about Roman suggests that he has the skills and personality to make a useful contribution to peace talks. I'll need to read much more about this from a source I distrust less before I hold out any hope that this might go anywhere.

You mean if we had spent on Hakimi we would not then have felt we could afford Rom too? Possible I suppose though I doubt it. In any case the way the decision makers seemed to be leaning my guess is that if they had had to choose between Rom and Hakimi Rom would still have come here and Hakimi would still have wound up in Paris.

This echoes what the fans are saying about Levi. They are baffled that he hasn't been starting but the fact remains that he hasn't been. They are as thoroughly hypocritical as you would expect any set of football fans to be by the way. On the one hand, they boast that their club has been good for Levi, as well as for other CFC loanees, so they argue Chelsea should let Levi return to Huddersfield next season. Especially if the go up. On the other hand they see Chelsea as destroying football with the loan system and we should be banned from doing it.

Commitment to continue the 'good citizen' behaviour the club has stood for under Roman. Commitment to non-executive fan involvement at board level. Commitment to working with the CPO. Commitment to retaining Peter Osgood's statue as a feature of any rebuild whether at Stamford Bridge or elsewhere. You are probably right about this though I confess I have not seen it the same way as you. Perhaps it's my overwhelming anger at the situation preventing me thinking clearly. The 'special license' talks about maintaining the integrity of the competitions. It then goes on to impose the stupid ban on ticket sales which is completely contrary to that and other aims it sets out. The club's best response to this hypocrisy would probably have been just to point it out and leave it at that. In my state of fury however I did not blame them calling for The FA to protect the game's integrity when the government attacked it. One year I'm going to get over this and calm down but it won't be this year.

I loved that goal from start to finish, very definitely including the finish. Loved the way Rom organised his feet to line up the tap in.

A point that we should have been thrown out of the competition because of Roman? If so I don't agree, to put it mildly.

Hello FB, Ordinarily I don't like to swear in my posts but I don't remember ever being as angry about anything in football as I am about the way our club is being treated currently. For the first time in my life my attitude to non-Chelsea people is fuck 'em all. My head is spinning with all the bollocks spouting from the cunts in every direction. I'd love us to score another couple of goals and finish the game in the near empty stadium we briefly asked for.
