I apologize beforehand for picking out one sentence again But this statement is pure bollocks. His stats are there for everyone to see. Currently top 10 goal contributor (goals + assists) across Europe's top 5 leagues. You don't get that by being good one week and crappy the other.. He's been one of the most consistent players in Europe all season, he's racking up goals, assists, MotM awards match after match. He has an average rating of 8.08 in the Europa League (4th best) and 8.03 in the Bundesliga (second after Robben!). So, I'm very sorry mate, but you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about.
-
I share & appreciate your enthusiasm, mate, but second in the Bundesliga, that's not half bad & eliminating Inter Milan the way they did.. I wouldn't think we're THAT superior to them. In any case not enough to say it's a different thing for KDB to do it at "a club like Wolfsburg" rather than a "top team like Chelsea". The leagues are at least equally good, if not superior the BDL, and there's not much between the two teams.
-
My word, that's SO pretentious. For the moment nothing actually says that we have a better team than Wolfsburg. That's one. Two, if he can do it against Bayern Munich (best team in the word), Inter Milan, ... what more does he need to proof? Again, we (Chelsea) just need to admit that we made a mistake with De Bruyne and get over it. Acceptance is the first step ;-)

I couldn't disagree with you more. 1. Zouma & Dave are defenders. Not a bad word about that, but you can't compare "supporting players" like that with playmakers. 2. Please don't mention Salah & KDB in the same comparison, it's an insult to KDB. 3. KDB hasn't had chances. Two appearances in the league cup doesn't count as a chance, it's another insult. Just accept that we, Chelsea, Mourinho, whomever, f**ked up in KDB's case. It happens sometimes, you can't get it right every time, but you do need to be able to admit it. Salah totally different story, not half the quality of KDB, couldn't care less about him leaving the team, even if it's true he didn't get a fair chance either, but that's the wat it goes at the top.
-
I wouldn't look too much into all of that. José just made a poor judgement, happens sometimes. He's worked with so many players over the years, he can't get their potential / ability right every time. Still a big f**k up in KDB's case though.
-
I don't know if that's really Mourinho's fault. The tactical set-up is pretty similar to that of other European top teams. 4 in the back, a triangle in midfield and 3 up front. And as far as mindset is concerned, I can't really imagine he wouldn't want to dominate play. For me the technical quality of the defenders is key. If you look at Bayern Munich & Barcelona, their defenders have a crucial role in the build-up play. If I look at us sometimes, we got the four at the back doing nothing but defending and all the build-up & attacking play is left to Cesc, Hazard & Willian. Ivanovic likes to go forward of course, but the quality is sometimes lacking. Luis seems capable of going forward so I think we should definitely play him more. But in the end the whole team should be capable of build-up play.
-
Nope, Hazard will be crucial for Belgium. Wouldn't worry too much though, he thrives on playing matches, the more the better.
-
Yes, if we can get Bale, I wouldn't hesitate. Even if I'm not his biggest fan.. A central defender An undisputed top central midfielder to complete the Cesc - Matic - triangle. Personally I'm not that impressed with Pogba. De Bruyne on current form would've been perfect..
-
Best comeback ever
-
Agree with your statement, but not with your solution. Taking out Cesc & Oscar will only cut off the supply to our attack. Basically, if you want to play two up front, better do a 4-4-2. Play Cesc & Matic in the center, Hazard & Willian on the wings.
-
first statement is true. second one not so much
-
Can't see that happening. With the choices he'll be having after such a season, doubt he'd return to the club that never gave him a fair chance. Bayern Munich as from next season is a safe bet. And with all due respect for our beloved club, but as things currently stand, I can't see a way back from Bayern Munich to Chelsea.

Which Players Do You Regret Chelsea Selling?
ParNolio7 replied to the wes's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Anyone notice how De Bruyne was voted best attacking MF in Bundesliga last week ... Before Thomas Mueller etc. ? Incredible, what a talent. -

The eternal Hazard positional debate ... I think you should just give him a free attacking role, so he can come from all sides, surprise & confuse the opponents as much as possible, prevent them from organizing their defense to block Hazard on his left wing.
-
Willian has probably an even higher work rate. I don't know what it is with those Chelsea Brazilians nowadays, but they just run & work like crazy! That said, KDB would've made up for that in football intelligence. Few players are as smart as he is on the pitch. Comparable to Cesc in that aspect. Not quite there yet of course, but with the same amount of experience, this player will be a monster! I'd be very surprised if we won't see him play for Bayern Munich or Borussia Dortmund next season or the one after. Like to know the reaction then of the people here saying that he "didn't have the right attitude to make it at a top team". It's a shame that these players leave The Bridge with that kind of stamp on their face, without any reason.
-
You should've stopped your statement after "he wouldn't be playing."
-
haha how cool is that. suck on that Thibaut!
-
It's true. In 2005 I saw Real Madrid at home against Lyon in the Champions League. Cost me 20 euros, bus travel from and to the place I lived, Valladolid (rougly 200 miles single distance) included.
-
Yes, I think I'd actually be more confident with Ake starting.
-
I think it would be quite arrogant to play a B-team against any opponent in the Champions League. Okay to rotate here and there but 6 out of 11 should be regular starters. Also Mikel & Ramires together in midfield, that is not giving me much confidence.
