indeed! and who is this "arse bender" guy anyway??
-
Okay, you're right defensive contribution well below average. Point taken
-
Gonna check TourΓ©'s stats later, not too convinced about him not doing anything defensively.
-
Unintended but still ... ;-) I was just more expecting (hoping to be honest) someone to react like "OMG you really don't know that's Serbia on his shirt!' too bad
-
haha I was just making a silly joke about the serbian way of spelling Serbia ... that's all
-
He scares opponents away, that alone is enough
-
If Oscar can keep this up, one might even consider to put him next to Fabregas as containing midfielder and replace Matic (who I think is doing very well, don't get me wrong) by a second Hazard-type player (if two such players would exist) to really tear up defenses relentlessly!
-
Line-up is not official yet, but Origi is expected to start ahead of Lukaku, yes.
-
Since when does Matic play for this team CP6Nja anyway ??
-
This is the worst football night ever. I can't even get pissed or eat burgers because I became sick today !! And now Hazard's not playing ... What the hell am I doing there ... HEEEEELP!
-
Yaya TourΓ© by much much distance. And it's not because he's getting into attacking positions a lot that he's not a CDM.
-
Ah man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyone interested in buying my Belgium - Andorra ticket off me?? A symbolical euro or GBP is more than enough.
-
Belgian team vs Andorra tonight: COURTOIS Alderweireld - Kompany - Lombaerts - Vertonghen Nainggolan - Defour DE BRUYNE - Chadli - HAZARD Origi Yes, I still consider De Bruyne as one of us Anyone else watching tonight? Hope Hazard will explode! (not literally)
-
In general I think positions are overrated. If you have a team that's well organized and willing to fight for each other, attacking players should just be able to run wherever they think they can create most danger at that moment in the game.
-
Going to see Hazard in action tomorrow in the Belgium vs Andorra match. Hope he'll score 15 goals just for the "statanatics" (stat fanatics) to get off his case for the rest of the season and look for another worldclass player to piss on.
-
haha best sarcastic reply ever
-
Oh brother as if we don't have enough worldclass midfielders as it is ... not to mention the twenty or so out on loan hoping fo one day get their shot at the bridge. Thorgan Hazard, that Danish bloke, Marko Van Ginkel and so on and so on ... We've done fantastic transfer business over the summer, stop nagging.
-
haha, how can you even begin to compare these players ...
-

Coming back to the penalty debate. Please find my latest blog article on how to kick the perfect penalty below: http://pieterhontele.wordpress.com/2014/10/07/the-one-and-only-truth-on-the-perfect-penalty/ You will notice slight hints of irony from time to time. Thank you for reading.

Eden's style takes a lot of nerve, confidence & technique. If one of those 3 qualities are off, impossible to score the penalty. If the qualities are all there in a consistent way, like is the case for Hazard, the penalty is a 100% success guarantee. So I prefer Eden's style IF a player has the quality to do so. In all other cases, don't even bother, just pick a spot and go for it.
-
Probably not, but he's young, he's got serious potential & he's developping steadily. I also wouldn't compare him to De Bruyne. Different type of player all together. And De Bruyne's level was/is still more than good enough to play at Chelsea imo, he just missed out on that little piece of fortune that you need to play your way into a squad like Chelsea's. Look at Matic, he still has the same potential as in his first Chelsea spell, but it took a second spell to make the pieces come together for him. Last but not least, Thorgans is Eden's brother, for that alone you'd want him to succeed here!
-
Yes, that's a big problem. Wolfsburg is pretty much a shit side except for De Bruyne & Olic. The two of them do amazing things on the pitch, but it just stops from the moment they pass the ball to a team mate. De Bruyne deserves a way bigger club, just hold on for a season and hope for Dortmund or Bayern Munich to stop by ...
-
I think Eden is absolutely brilliant but I really can't see him becoming better than Zola. Mainly because I think Zola was a lot smarter as a player, so far better decision making & positional play. Far better finishing and shooting as well. Even with age I don't think Eden will ever atteign that level. Dribbling wise they're probably equally good, Eden even a tad faster in the first meters, equal technical skills and so on. But not many departments in which Eden actually excels to Zola. Again, no shame in that, it's a big ask!

Noo! Matic + Mikel is more than enough for holding players. Courtois Dave - Iva - Cahill - Luis (sorry JT!!) Mikel - Fabegas - Matic Oscar - Hazard Costa
