  1. De Bruyne usually wide playmaker as well, from the right. If I were City I'd keep the Silva-Yaya momentum in the center going and move KDB to the right so Sterling - Silva - KDB imo
  2. True, but I do believe a City move would be in his best interest as well, financially of course, but also from a challenge perspective.
  3. Because he's clueless ... I just said it! ;-) No, we just have to deal with the fact that about 90% of us Chelsea fans and maybe 70% of English football watchers in general, will eternally regard KDB as an overrated, unprofessional, self-centered, lazy excuse for a footballer because they were indoctrinated by our beloved manager Mourinho, who never gives chances to cheap new players anyway (Cuadrado, Salah, De Bruyne, the list is endless) but needed particulary good excuses for dismissing De Bruyne who was already regarded internationally as a hot prospect when at Chelsea. Anyone, however, who's actually seen De Bruyne play on a regular basis, for Genk, for Werder Bremen, for Belgium, for Wolfsburg, knows that he is a consistent world-class player. But seeing how none of these teams are English, Chelsea & PL fans in general see no reason to change "their" mind, which is actually Mourinho's mind, or not even Mourinho's mind but just what he said in order to have a proper excuse. And that, my friends, is the one and only truth on De Bruyne vs The English Public. So I really hope the City deal will come through and he'll become a PL legend, even if it means he'll have to score and assist twice as much as anyone else in order to convince the stubborn herd of Mourinho sheep.
  4. I'm sorry mate but you're clueless.
  5. City haven't changed much in terms of names but the real difference for me is the midfield. Last year Fabregas was worldclass and Yaya was shite. This year Fabregas started out shite and Yaya worldclass. Midfield is what makes the difference. Sterling is nothing more than a nice addition. Just like Pedro will be to us. But that's why I think City are favourites this year. To make matters worse, Kompany 's gone back to topform while Terry/Cahill look ridiculous at times. Of course, we're only two games into the season ... so let's keep our hopes up and keep the blue flag flying high!
  6. Over anyone. Hence why they elected him player of the year in the Bundesliga ... duh!!
  7. I don't know if you're being sarcastic or not, but if you're not, we're really not in a place to be cocky for the moment mate.
  8. You are underestimating the esteem KDB has in Germany. He would be a guaranteed starter at Bayern Munich.
  9. Can't we just sign Silva, Yaya and Aguëro? Bit much to ask? ;-)
  10. I think Zouma deserves a start by now. Begovic Brana (we need a new RB!) - Zouma - JT- Dave Matic Willian - Cesc (we need more options in midfield) Remy (we need a new attacker) - Costa - Hazard Can't see us get the win though..
  11. Exactly, by checking the score after the match, no point in watching if f**k all 's gonna happen. I'm pretty sure there are ways to win matches and titles playing good football. Generally you will see that teams who play the best football are likely to win most matches and titles ... there seems to be a direct relationship between the two ... Mourinho somehow managed to brainwash a big part of the Chelsea supporters that the only way to win is playing fooking "catenaccio".
  12. Bayern Munich 2013/14 Bündesliga: WINNERS - DFB Pokal: WINNERS - DFL Supercup: RUNNERS-UP - Champions League: SEMI-FINALISTS - UEFA Super Cup: WINNERS - WC Clubs: WINNERS Bayern Munich: 2014/15 Bündesliga: WINNERS - DFB Pokal: SEMI-FINALISTS - DFL Supercup: RUNNERS-UP - Champions League: SEMI-FINALISTS ... Not too shabby I would say?
  13. Shouldn't it be our ambition to be at the same level as Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid? It's not that long since we've won the CL! Gap just got a whole lot bigger over the past few years, but we should try to close it! I see no reason why we couldn't. We have the means for it ffs.
  14. Barcelona at times play perfect football, you can't deny that, whether you like them or not. Chelsea were able to grind out results in the PL last term, but the tactics already proved to be ineffective on the big stage called Champions League. First step to getting on Barcelona level (= Big Stage) is to look past temporary local success, admit that we're not playing well enough, and do something about it. Not even talking about Arsenal and Liverpool, no idea why you're getting those inferior teams into this debate.
  15. Hm, it's possible, but I don't think so. Yaya-Silva is working really well in the center. And KDB is used to playing as a winger for Belgium and back in the day for Genk. His crosses are lethal. I think he'll just replace Navas by KDB. More so because KDB is also used frequently as a second striker at Wolfsburg. So together with Sterling on the wings they can play close to Agüero, and let Silva & Yaya work their magic in midfield. Also don't think that Demichelis will be a starter anymore for Man City. Either Mangala or a bit later on in the season Denayer (really big talent!!). So: Sterling - Agüero - De Bruyne Silva - Touré Fernandinho Kolarov - Mangala - Kompany - Zabaleta Hart ... frightening
  16. De Bruyne often plays from the right, especially for Belgium: DCM: Nainggolan CM: Witsel - Fellaini A: De Bruyne ® - Benteke © - Hazard (L) Most of his assists come from crosses anyway. So if I were Pellegrini, I'd keep Silva next to Yaya in the center. And just replace Navas by KDB. Wolfsburg now also claiming concrete interest from Barcelona & Real Madrid but I assume that's just a (pathetic) attempt to increase his value even more.
  17. What on earth are you on about? Flock mentality = not questioning anything Mourinho says or does All the rest is for your own account
  18. Yeah that flock mentality is what really bothers me as well. Good results don't mean good football. It can all tumble down pretty quickly. But we've time to react before the transfer window closes. But we have to do it. Before we turn into the next United (Roman Empire if you like).
  19. Actually, I'd rather we get a real hammering on Sunday to stirr things up a little (much needed!) as opposed to losing by the odd goal or even get a late draw, so we can hide behind excuses and circumstances again.
  20. To my knowledge, UK is a whole lot tax friendlier than Spain. Anyway, think they still get enough in their pockets to buy an ice cream every now and then ..
  21. It is perfectly possible to support your team and ask for better (not even talking about prettier) football at the same time. We are not a flock of sheep, we are individuals with opinions and the right to be heard.
  22. we can't have it all, focus on attack should be priority. we already had best defence last season.
  23. Never been a fan of Mikel, but Ramires/Lampard/Mata was a pretty decent midfield imo. Mata deservedly won Chelsea POTY 2 years in a row. On his day same quality as Fabregras imo. Torres was horrible for Chelsea, obviously, but at this moment there's no reason to believe that Falcao will be any better. If you're judging on name alone, then Torres when coming over from Liverpool was at least as big a name as Falcao now, with the difference that Torres was at his top when introduced to Chelsea (soon to tumble down though) while Falcao was already shite at United last season. As for Ba, I can't say anything bad about him, he wasn't given too many chances but always worked hard and gave us some good goals. Costa is obviously an improvement.
  24. yes but obviously they must see something in him if they're offering that kind of ludicrous amounts
