Ooookay. Its pretty much done now. Mixed emotions. I feel angry that we let him go to a rival, no matter how much money, we have sold to a club that messed us around and didn't want to sell one of their players to us. I hope some sort of Rooney clause is in the deal but I very much doubt it! Sad to see him go, obviously. He was my favourite player since he arrived. Brilliant to watch. But he hasn't been playing! So hopefully it won't burden us too much, with a possible replacement or even loan recalls for either Moses or Piazon. I guess I better think of a new screen name now..it's all go Never a dull day as a Chelsea fan. We knew we wouldn't be able to keep all this quality in attacking midfield happy. I'll still be a Mata fan regardless of shirt colour. Just don't score too many goals against us!

Browsing redcafe during this whole charade and apparently sky sports news are starting to backtrack: Sky's back tracking was hilarious 'eh, we can confirm that Mata WAS at the training ground, but, eh, whether he trained or not isn't confirmed'... she actually said 'we wouldn't like to mislead anyone' - perish the thought.

Obviously by my screen name on here, I am a massive Juan Mata fan. But I am not one who is blinded with admiration for the talent of the chap to think that he has much of a future here. I just don't want to see him go to 'that club'. It would make me feel very uneasy seeing him in a Man Utd shirt. I am all for cashing in if he isn't part of our plans, but why on earth would we strengthen a rival that is already on the ropes this season? I hope these reports are not true because I'd rather not see Juan play against us, but one hopes there's either nothing to the speculation, or we have a striker waiting in the wings.

Seems very safe to say Welcome back Nemanja!! A few years ago when I was watching a bean pole of a young central midfielder come on for Florent Malouda, I wouldn't have imagined we would be bringing him back with such a fee (even though he had a few nice touches ) but I am delighted with this signing.
