  1. yes he's injured. will probably have a scan tomorrow. no one knows whether it's serious or not.
  2. yeah UEFA had sent the club an email, that players taking part in the celebrations, especially ones going up to lift the trophy are adviced to wear their kits.
  3. It's actually quite a decent site. Their valuations are considered after crunching statistics. I heard Simon Kuper talk about it long back, the topic was on football statistic sites, and how transfrmarkt was quite under-rated when compared to Opta, FourFourTwo, Squawka, etc. But usually when people talk about transfer market value, they take valuations from this site. Trusted or not, people can't be 110% sure, but there's work done behind getting that number.
  4. Think he means this . Witsel - http://www.transfermarkt.com/en/axel-witsel/profil/spieler_35047.html Matic - http://www.transfermarkt.com/en/nemanja-matic/profil/spieler_74683.html
  5. FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK New #CFC striker #Etoo limps out of #Cameroon WCQ match, the exact injury & extent of the problem is yet to be determined. From @physioroom
  6. clubs already release financial reports, its open for the public... A fine line between educated guesses and just guesses. Hours and days are spent on it. As I said, I've heard Miles Jacobson talk about this problem during the release of FM 10, or 09 (not sure which one) . But your opinion. I'll disagree.
  7. Together we stand goes well when we're talking about Alex's hammer.
  8. The technical director of Eredivisie side NEC Nijmegen has asked for the Dutch authorities to look into the loan system at rival side Vitesse. Chelsea have given their feeder club six players, Patrick van Aanholt, Gael Kakuta, Lucas Piazon, Cristian Cuevas, Sam Hutchinson and new signing Christian Atsu. And although Mark Hagen doesn't believe it is against the rules, he has warned that their could be as many as ten loan signings at the club if the situation isn't looked at. 'I want to be clear that I am not judging Vitesse or Chelsea because they are acting within the rules,' Aalbers told the Mirror. 'But this is a new situation for us in Dutch football and it is worthy of discussion. It is six players on loan from Chelsea at Vitesse, but if this trend continues it could be nine or 10.' The thoughts in Holland are not dissimilar to how Football League club's thought about Watford's loan players, with the club bringing in over ten players on temporary deals last season. The majority of them were from their parent clubs Udinese and Granada. Hutchinson, who retired from football for 18 months before returning to the Chelsea set-up, spoke about his delight at joining the Dutch side. He said: 'Obviously it's good to come into a place where you know people, though it's little bit different as I'm English. 'It will take time but hopefully I'll fit in well.' http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2415395/Rival-technical-director-criticizes-Vitesse-right-loan-players-Chelsea.html
  9. Probably cause Watford have a terrific mentor as a manager, including some of the best coaching staff. David Hughes is a youth coach there, another guy who really brings out the best from young players. And they play quite decent football, that creates an atmosphere for young players to improve. and also the reason of 90 days. Quite handy to bring him back if we need him.
  10. Emenalo on Lukaku—"People keep forgetting that he is only 20...We don't want to put too much pressure on a young player like him.We know for the future we have Romelu Lukaku and incredible hope that he will come through and lead the line. We have every confidence in Torres, Ba and Lukaku but with Eto'o we have bought experience."
  11. I will probably be the only one, but I don't think he ever did. She's come out and denied it on live television.
  12. Madrid had the opportunity to by Neymar for 60k in 2006. Don't know how legit this is, but apparently the papers were drawn up as well. -
  13. Including the Harry Moseley charity, and they way youth players praise him, including what Bobby Tambling said and Joe Hart, the way he responds to letters ,I'd rather make my own mind up, than fall for the media propaganda. But then again, I'm going to get a lot of hate for this, but I don't see him as a bad guy. People have done much worse stuff, and praised like gods, but as they say, one crime doesn't justify another. despite all the apparent bad things he has done, I still see him as a genuinely nice person to the one's who get the opportunity to meet him face to face.
  14. Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert has been fined £8,000 by the Football Association for comments he made in the wake of Aston Villa's 2-1 Barclays Premier League defeat at Chelsea last month. Lambert was furious after Branislav Ivanovic was only booked by referee Kevin Friend for a foul on Christian Benteke - then went on to head home Chelsea's late winner - and also insisted his side should have had a penalty for an apparent handball by John Terry. The FA said in a statement: "Following an Independent Regulatory Commission hearing, Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert has been fined £8,000 in relation to post-match media comments he made after his side's game against Chelsea on 21 August 2013. "The misconduct charge, which Lambert admitted, was that the comments implied the match referee was motivated by bias; and/or brought the game into disrepute, in contravention of FA Rule E3 (1)." Lambert clashed with Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho in the technical area following the incident and told the media afterwards: "We've been done by two decisions that were wrong. "Decisions like that, I don't think you can miss them, I really don't. They're big game-changers. My team never deserved that."
  15. Frank Snr: "Frank knew that if he went to America, that would be the end of the England career. And my son is a fierce patriot."
  16. If you asked most people for their list of football’s good guys then John Terry would probably not be a name that would figure. Great player, courageous defender, captain, leader, legend if you are a Chelsea fan. But a string of off-the-field scandals, feuds, alleged affairs, rows and arguments – plus those cringing pictures in full kit celebrating the Champions League after being banned in the final – leave his reputation more than soured for the rest of the game. Talk to Stiliyan Petrov, however, and a different picture emerges. When Aston Villa’s former midfield star was first diagnosed with acute leukaemia, Terry was the first rival Premier League captain to get in touch and wish him well. And today the Chelsea star will underline his commitment to support Petrov’s recovery by flying to Glasgow to play at sold-out Celtic Park in support of his charities. Petrov, currently in remission and planning to play at least part of the match himself, wants the world to know the softer side of a man who has become the game’s pantomime villain. The Bulgarian said: “Before I was ill I knew John only from shaking hands before kick-off in matches, and as a fierce competitor. “We had also met and talked at the meetings the Premier League hold for captains before the start of each season. “But from the moment the news came out about my illness he was one of the first to get in touch and he has carried on being supportive ever since. He doesn’t always have an easy time with the fans, but I have seen a very different man to that image. “He has gone out of his way to encourage me at different times – always sending messages and texts while I was going through treatment, even though sometimes it might have been a month before I felt strong enough to return them. “When I was planning this game he was the first to sign up. I rang and asked if he could take part and he just said: ‘Tell me when and I’ll be there. Who wouldn’t want to play in the atmosphere of a sold-out Celtic Park?’” Petrov’s courageous fight against leukaemia has drawn backing from players and fans from every club in the country, and the 34-year-old is now trying to put something back having launched his own ?cancer charity. And he admits he’s humbled by the response to his match which features a Celtic XI against a Stiliyan XI – with a line-up that includes singer Louis Tomlinson from One Direction. 17. Do you know what SI is and what they do? Do your research. For unknown clubs, they make educated guesses after extensive research. The Deloitte Report is an example. Moreover as I said Sporting Intelligence, have a first hand look into wages, financial profits, losses etc. as far as I'm concerned, Chelsea is a huge club. Another instance is Everton. They don't have a scouting system. They have a partnership with SI so that they get their database a few weeks before the company releases its yearly edition. This means that Everton does not have an independent scouting system of their own when it comes to finding players. I have written on this subject as well, so I know what I'm talking about.
