I love you Mata!
-
Seems to me José is aiming for a draw...
-
Why? he isn't even in the CL squad.
-
If the eventual goal is to play Mazacar. Did we buy Shürrle (18 million) and Willian (30 million) for squad depth? Not a good message to the other AM's if you ask me, or i guess José is bullshitting alot.
-
Jose said this recently "In this moment, Oscar is my No. 10 and, if somebody tells me that Oscar is not Chelsea’s best player since the beginning of the season, I’d have to disagree. These are football issues." So with Hazard also a lock on the left wing. Mata/Schürrle/DeBruyne/Willian are competing now for the right wing. Tbh, this is some stiff competition for Mata. Surely when Willian picks up his match stamina. Imo we should build on Hazard/Oscar/Willian, eventhough im a big DeBruyne fan.

Our biggest problem right now is stability. It seems we are still stuck in preseason, testing different team comps. It's reflected even to us as fans, each having a different opinion about who should start (Jose's mind changes every match atm). Enough messing around, Jose needs too start 1 solid line-up and put faith onto these players. Even when they show a subpar game. Rotate when a key player shows signs of beïng tired, or when we have alot of games in succession. We have so much attacking depth, but these players get interchanged with each other every game. I would build on Willian, Hazard and Oscar. But hey im not the coach, there are alot of possibilities. But please José, stick too 1 team comp for building game chemistry.

Did Jose lie then?
-
It seems Mourinho really wants to build up on our youngsters. I hope Willian gets a sub.
-
What was the reason Willian wasn't benched?
-
Willian is probably a lock if Hazard is injured.

Absolute and utter bullshit. Just completed listening to his interview at the NT. Romelu didn't want to go towards West Brom. He chose Everton himself after getting calls from several clubs, and he spoke to the Everton manager for 30 minutes. He also angrily called out to the person who said he was unhappy, he is infact very happy with the loan move. At the end they asked if Mourinho talked to him, while smiling he said it was confidential. Edit: Here is the link to the interview btw if you understand Dutch: http://www.sporza.be/cm/sporza/voetbal/buitenland/Engeland/130903_lukaku_over_transfer

No, loaned players are not allowed to play against there contract team. It is the best move Chelsea could have done. People tend to forget that he probably was going to get loaned out again this year, with Torres sucking and Ba not gaining his Newcastle form Mourinho was almost forced to keep Lukaku at the bridge. Now with the coming of Eto'o, we have the strikers we need. Lukaku at his best NOW is not that much better then Torres/Ba/Eto'o, so why keep him? The club tried to sell Ba, but nobody is willing to pay the fee. Loaning out Ba would be a wrong choice given his age, he won't improve that much anyway. With Lukaku at 20 he still has years for him to reach his peak. People are underestimating the pressure onto him. Chelsea is one of the biggest teams in the world. Despite all the young players we have, we are not patient and nor should we be. We can't afford to rely on youngsters given our stature. And Mourinho knows that. The striker position is the most difficult position, and putting so much pressure ontop of that on a 20 year old is just too much.
-
Very good decision from them, he's not ready yet. Im content with our current lineup of strikers, Lukaku has too much potential to be wasted on the bench.
-
Sending Lukaku on loan would improve him further. Something that's not gonna happen with Ba, he's a good enough 3rd striker. Eto'o/Torres/Ba is good enough, no need for Lukaku rotting on the bench at his age.
-
We won't lose him, Mourinho wanted him back this year. But because it was a World Cup year he wanted playing time, + some champions league expierience is an extra bonus.
-
Wish we had Willian and Eto'o available. Not really a fan of Schürrle.
-
Nice that he's already training, i see him as starting IX material. I understand that Mourinho added him because our squad is very young. Hazard/Oscar/De Bruyne/Schürrle are all under 23 and are not ready yet to carry Chelsea in all competitions for a entire year. With Mata and now Willian we have 2 attacking midfielders that are nearing they're peak. We know have the depth so that we don't need to burn our young players before they even reach they're peak. Although i guess he will play mostly at the right wing when Hazard is fit, he's an ideal replacement for him should he get injured because he is two-footed. In that scenario we can move Mata or De Bruyne to the right wing with Oscar at the center.
-
Welcome Willian, sucks we have to wait for 3 weeks to see him play.
-
He's not on his level yet, Willian has CL expierience. He carried Shakthar against us.
-
MvG isn't even on the bench.
-
Van Ginkel also not benched

Today Lukaku spoke to a Belgian sport site (sporza). Here is my translation " After Aston Villa i had 4 days to be 100% fit. I asked for extra training : endurance training, sprint training, everything to become more sharp. Hopefully this wil result in me making a goal. If im going to start? That's what im working towards, the coach makes choices and at the moment he is rotating the squad. Based on that i hope i get a spot in the starting XI. As long if i work hard at training, playing chances will come. I don't know if you should speak that this is the match of the year. There are many good clubs: United, City, Liverpool,... The thing i like about England is that there are 6 clubs who can become champion. United is one of them, but they also need to make way for us!"

That was after coming in as a sub when West Brom had nothing to lose. The pressure is gonna be massive this time.
