He's been the big man on the road to the world cup, scoring and giving assists, while Hazard under-performs in most of his games for the NT, compared to at Chelsea.
I believe none of you watched 1. the actual moment and 2. Wilmots' actual words. He could not have put the ball in front of goal like that in that position.
That's not the point at all. He shouldn't have tried at that moment. (And he could have never curved it the way it should have if he'd given a normal cross)
I love Hazard, but Wilmots was right. It was 0-0 in the second half, and he was almost at the backline. It wasn't the time or place to try that stuff. He couldn't aim it and it failed miserably. It was not smart at all. He should have gone for the normal cross. Mourinho would have been more pissed than Wilmots.
I think Thorgan needs one more year to develop. He needs to become an important player in Germany first. Then he'll be ready. This is what went wrong with Kevin I think. If he stayed in Germany on loan, he'd be more than ready to play his role for Chelsea in the 2015-2016 season.
At this rate, Neymar will easily beat both Ronaldo's and Pele's goal number for the NT. Which is kinda sad actually, because he's inferior to both. But I guess numbers never lie (unless you exclusively play shitty teams ).
I mean ok, Januzaj's set pieces are superior to the rest of the team, but on the pitch, he didn't really do anything special. When Mertens came on, there was instantly much more speed and depth in our team.
I wonder when he'll be ready for some first team action (not at Chelsea immediately obviously). He still looks like he has to gain some serious muscle to become competitive...
He'll probably end up with around the same amount of goals this year, barring injuries, which is great. He just can't keep missing all those chances, and after he scores a couple, the rest will follow.
It's not the difference when Eden isn't playing like shit to start with. He's playing fantastically, only thing lacking is goals. But how many goals were made directly or indirectly because of his actions this year...?
Just sent this to the son of one of our previous national goalies, battling lymph gland cancer as we speak: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/B1_WlOqCEAI4LX6.jpg:large "Always keep on fighting"
