  1. As a Christian I'm absolutely appalled. Christians believe Jesus' name is sacred and Holy, that He is our Saviour. This must not be allowed on public forums.
  2. He's "injured"...and no one knows what the injury even is? And all this amidst the Pogba rumours....raises my eyebrow. Juventus crave Oscar; they definitely would be more willing to let Pogba go providing that our man goes to them. The board knows this too because Jose came out and complained about Allegri openly talking about Oscar this summer. As much as I don't want it to be true, an oscar + cuadrado + cash deal is a possibility. It would be difficult though because Oscar said that he wants to stay. Well, time should tell I guess
  3. With the team we have we really shouldn't be playing counterattacking football against Spurs. I understand away at United, but this...
  4. Things are looking good for Juan. Jose said in the conference: Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho said: "I liked the way Juan Mata played against Swindon. His attitude is very good and his effort was good.'' "When a player makes an effort to come in my direction then I go to him as well. I can imagine from now him working into my way of thinking and I think the natural tendency will for him to be in the team." The thing I don't like about this though, is that trying to turn Mata into a high work rate defense+attack CAM will hinder his goals and assists, and his overall impact on the team. Especially when it comes to creating chances and making key passes.
  5. Mark Lawrenson does have his ups and downs, but he is spot on in what he says here: "Sammy Eto'o needs to adjust to the Premier League after arriving from Anzhi - if he can get back to the level he was before he went to Russia in 2011, then he can solve Chelsea's striking problems. "At the moment, it doesn't look like he is the answer, but we should judge him after he has played 10 games."
  6. Total madness. I don't believe it for a second. Thanks for posting it though. Good to know what lurks out there.
  7. We never really tested United's defence in that game really. I wish we attacked them more.
  8. Final score: United 2:0 Liverpool. Good game, Liverpool posed real threat in attack, unlike us four weeks ago even though we've got a better attack.
  9. Liverpool started well in the first half, but bad defending for the goal in the 2nd.
  10. Can't wait till he scores one of those air cutting shots from outside the box.
  11. Alright so Liverpool are playing United at OT today. I'm actually going to be going for Liverpool in this game. If they can cause an upset, will pile even more pressure on Moyes and the rest of the United team.
  12. You forgot our keeper>>>theirs. We have the edge on paper, though our recent poor form could cost us.
  13. I think Eto'o is obviously starting this game since he was rested in the cup yesterday. If Mou had Torres in mind starting at the weekend he would have taken him off and put Eto'o on at 60/70mins. I know a lot of people want Torres to start, but it's not happening.
  14. Hold on. With Ramires off and JT on, who's in the pivot?
  15. No chemistry. KDB had a bad first half. We struggled to string 5-6 passes in their half for large periods.
  16. Guys, is the game broadcast in England, ie Espn/Sky?
  17. If he gets the chances, he'll score the goals. People should wait till he squanders a few clear goal scoring opportunities before making up their mind on whether he can take them for us consistently over the course of the season.
  18. I think many people forget to factor in the fact that there is a certain way we play in this new team structure which Jose is trying to implement. We are less direct than we were under Benitez. Hazard was told by Jose to play a certain way within his new system. I'm reminded of the time when Lamps was moved from the advanced to the holding role many supporters started complaining about him scoring less goals, being invisible in the final third etc, when he was just simply following the instructions he was given. This is not an accurate analogy so please do not take it as such. It just illustrates the point that like the rest of the team, Hazard is still adapting to the new philosophy, to our new style of play. It'll take time for him to adapt, and Jose knows that. If Mourinho imposed the Benitez ideology and Hazard played like he did in the past few matches Jose'd bench him instantly. But because Jose understands that Hazard needs to learn just like the rest of the team to adjust to the unfamiliar aesthetics of team play he is willing to sacrifice a few poorer quality performances for the sake of the end result. This is of course not to say Hazard still should be doing a bit better, which I totally agree with. Give him time however and it'll pay off.
  19. The stats say otherwise. He wasn't the most fouled player in the league let alone Europe. http://squawka.com/news/2013/05/07/top-five-most-fouled-players-in-the-premier-league/201305078685/shaun-maloney-average-pass-length#main
  20. The Eto'o situation is simple imho. No service=no goals. Apart from two chances against Everton(one of which came solely through an Everton mistake - not like he received a killer pass) can anyone really remember him at any point having a chance he should have done better with? What chance and against who? There simply aren't any. Our strikers are simply not getting through balls getting fed into them, and our midfield are not creating chances for them. Let's not forget Eto'o is not the only one who hasn't scored a league goal yet. Anyway so far it seems like Jose is trying to use him in a deeper role than a traditional striker which further hinders his goal scoring opportunities. I say leave it till he misses chances that he clearly should have scored like Torres did over his first few years with us, and then make conclusions about his worth.
