  1. Wonder what Jose will do to counteract the way they play. I think if we're going to go out and attack them playing a high tempo, we're likely to get ripped to shreds. I think we'll basically see a copy of the United game again, except this time it's Bayern. It'll probably be the same line up, we'll be an organised defensive unit, while at the same time trying to nick one on the counterattack. Likely to go to extra time this one, and/or even penalties again. Another great analysis.
  2. Interesting to see how he'll fit in our midfield, and whether he's going to be a regular starter ahead of KDB and Oscar or not. Or maybe Jose will choose to rotate KDB and Oscar with Mata in the CAM role, while giving Willian more matches on the right wing. Who knows...still early days. Can't wait to see how he turns out in the PL.
  3. ----------------Eto'o-------------- ---Hazard----Mata----Willian ---Van Ginkel------Ramires-- Bring it on
  4. We were never after Cavani. Haven't made a single bid.
  5. 272 pages of comments, in the end culminating in nothing.
  6. http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/transfers/transfer-news-wayne-rooney-accepts-chelsea-move-is-off--but-tension-lingers-at-manchester-united-8786891.html Rooney could have saved us so much pain by just saying straight away he wasn't going. It's disrespectful to our club, and to Jose that he still hasn't made an explicit statement, especially after we set a deadline.
  7. Holding a Chelsea shirt while wearing a Chelsea shirt...unusual? He's probably that excited to be part of the club.
  8. Eight hours left and Rooney still hasn't come out and said anything. Looks like it's over imho. Can't wait till this thread is finally locked....wasted time browsing it.
  9. How come no replies to this? Brilliant analysis..was looking forward to it, didn't notice it earlier.
  10. Robbie Savage agrees with you: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/23844430 ...as much as I dislike him.
  11. Just under 24 hours till the end of this whole saga.
  12. Excellent analysis. Definitely makes the draw more bearable.
  13. Clubs are not allowed to talk to players without the other club's permission, which we don't have. Using the media is the only option atm.
  14. He doesn't need to hand in any requests. All he has to do is come out and say ''I want to stay, and play for United.'' or ''I want leave and play for Chelsea.'' It's a simple thing really. I suspect though he doesn't want to have the fans on his back in case United force him to stay.
  15. It almost seems like it's part of United's plan. Delay things for as long as possible, and then finally walk away from the deal so that we only have a few days to find a decent replacement. You could see Jose's frustration in the interview yesterday.
  16. If you're going to play long balls against United with the frequency that we did yesterday, surely Lukaku would have fit in our game plan miles better than Shurrle did?
  17. Expect pretty much the same as the United game. Boring, with us barely doing anything in attack. If the defense play well, we might have a chance, if we nick one on the counter or take it to penalties again. Lukaku must start.
  18. Fair enough. Some reports seem to say though we had 60 million agreed, and they dishounoured the deal.
  19. Guys, calm down. All this reaction just because of Sky reporting he won't hand in a transfer request? There's still a chance we might get him, though if it's true that we had a deal agreed and United dishonoured it, then imho we should never attempt to do business with them again.
  20. People attacking Jose should check themselves. I think he intentionally played for a draw...but even if he didn't..seriously bash him after 2 games? lol We're so lucky to have him. He'll sort out what his best eleven is, and we'll be up there in the title race come May.
