  1. Sitting watching SSN, nervous wreck. Albion NEED signings. Didnt think it would be possible to see him play for the Albion again and this possibility has got me sat here infront of twitter/SSN like a nervous wreck! We'll look after him for one more year!! Come back Romelu!
  2. We'll take good care of him again if you arent going to use him!! The lad is awesome, he was a little inconsistent with us at the start of last year but grew into the environment and by the end he was a monster, Sunderland away in particular he was the best player on the pitch by a mile (you all know about the ManUtd hattrick, in which he bullied Rio when he came on). Unfortunately for us i cannot see him coming back unless Jose signs probably two new strikers and keeps Ba/Torress. Good luck for the season, backing you guys to win the title
  3. Nothing to see here ! send him back in July please!! He was unbelievable today. He came out at HT stripped off in full kit to warm up about 5mins before any other player came out. He meant business. Fantastic season for the club and the lad. We'll love him at Albion regardless what happens
  4. He wasnt at his best yesterday, but still could have walked out of the Etihad with a hattrick. Hes had a fantastic season, whether hes ready for Chelsea and to lead a title hunt im not sure. He certainly imposes himself on defences but he doesnt deliver it every week. From a WBA perspective hes had a brilliant season and but would he have the same impact in a team that would be looking to win the league? the pressure has been off us since about November, but with you guys its been high pressure every week. Good luck in the Europa League final ! Edit: Also good luck tonight!
  5. Since December hes been a different animal, he wasnt in the starting XI much in the beginning as it was working very well starting Long and bring Lukaku on after about an hour. People critising him are crazy, hes 19 FFS!! hes not been absolutely perfect and nor should he be. But hes been fantastic, got a super attitude and hes grown into the season. There probably isnt much hope of him returning but he'll always be a Albion hero!
  6. He won young player and top goalscorer awards at the End of season WBA dinner this evening. The guy is just unreal, we owe him so much this season. Its been nothing short of a pleasure having him, Hes really brought into the club and shown us great respect, I really hope he continues to grow and becomes the world class forward we all think he will become. deserves it He came joint runner up in Supporters player of the year to Gareth McAuley with Claudio Yacob who has had a magnificent year aswell
  7. He is insane. Ashley Williams couldnt live with him today he resorted to throwing his dummy out and fouling him. Our chances of bringing him back for another year are diminishing by the game but its so great to see a player who has impoved so much in the last 5-6 months and is now in red hot form at the tender age of 19. I do think next season will be tougher for him as defenders work him out like other strikers have, but as its looking atm i cant see how defenders will work him out!! He said he wants to be a Chelsea legend and i think he might just become one, but he is definately an Albion hero already.
  8. Bit of a lethargic performance from The Albion, but Chelsea controlled the game and didnt let us play. Missed Brunt on the left hand side with his passing and deliverys. We looked a bit lopsided. We looked a lot better when Odemwingie came on with his ability to beat a man. We played pretty simular in the Liverpool game but defended slightly better and got a break in the final 10mins, could of been the same story but wasnt to be. Chelsea more than deserving of the 3 points. Good luck for the rest of the season
  9. (4231) Foster, Reid, McAuley, Olsson, Ridgewell, Yacob, Mulumbu, Fortuné, Morrison, Dorrans, Long - Couple of injuries, Shane Long has made it but Brunt hasnt which is a blow as his set pieces are a weapon for us. We've got a 16 year old on the bench. Great talent apparently. We will be looking to play a simular way we did against Liverpool, keep it tight and try and nick something. Watch out for Mulumbu, easily our best player in that midfield, his partnership with Claudio Yacob has been formiddable
  10. Looks like we're without a few players or atleast they need late fitness tests, also without Romelu which is a blow. We're normally given a bit of a hiding at the Bridge so not expecting anything. 0 pressure on us though, we're having a great season and like a lot of people i doubted Steve Clarke taking over from Roy who really stablised this club, hes proving everyone wrong on a daily basis though and the way hes dealt witht the issues at the club (Odemwingie) has been exceptional. Heart says 0-1 Albion, Head says 3-1 Chelsea
  11. Chelseas last 2 managers have gone swiftly after playing Albion, 3rd time lucky?
  12. He is still very young and can be quite raw at times. Yesterday his all round game was excellent though, although Sunderland have a really poor defence Lukaku REALLY took advantage of that. They didnt show his disallowed goal on motd where the ref pulled the play back and didnt allow and advantage for 1second and Lukaku stroked the ball home in the first half. Steve Clarke hasnt rushed him in, we play a number of different systems. Him and Long havent played together much we normally go 1 up top and Lukakus starts to goals ratio is quite incredible. (9 goals in 12 starts, 12 goals in total) Still cant get over the fact the lad is 19!?! The difficult part for him now is how he copes with peoples expectations, next season could be tough for him as people try and work him out.
  13. What a signing for the Albion this lad has been. Massive part of whats been a cracking season. His attitude as well as his ability is so great to see, hes going to be a top top player when hes matured a little, hes allready improved massively as the season has progressed. Confident, powerful, great finisher, enthusiastic all ways id describe him. This is the post match interview by our official site. comes accross as a top lad. If by a miracle we get him for another year i speak on behalf of every Albion fan as we'd be over the moon
