On Claudio Ranieri

I studied Italian five hours a day for many months to ensure I could communicate with the players, media and fans. Ranieri had been in England for five years and still struggled to say ‘good morning’ and ‘good afternoon.

On Claudio Ranieri

Boredom by Ranieri? Is it like Sartre’s Nausea, which I used to study.

On Fabio Capello

He has a one-track relationship with players. Ask anyone here at Real Madrid. He can't change. You cannot go around just shouting at players. They need to feel special.

On Arsene Wenger

I think he is one of these people who is a voyeur. He likes to watch other people. There are some guys who, when they are at home, have a big telescope to see what happens in other families. He speaks, speaks, speaks about Chelsea.

On Arsene Wenger

Three years without a Premiership title? I don't think I would still be in a job.

On Pep Guardiola

With the declaration of Pep the other day... We are entering a new era... Which for the moment includes only him, who criticises the correct decision of the referee.

On Cristiano Ronaldo

It's not even a game between me and him. It's a game where a kid made some statements not showing maturity and respect. Maybe [it's his] education, difficult childhood, no education, maybe [it is] the consequence of that.

On Cristiano Ronaldo

Ronaldo is a good player but he is certainly not the best. He deserved the Golden Ball award because his team won the Champions League and the Premier League. But, for me, Ibrahimovic is the best.

On Rafael Benitez

It is very difficult work for Roy to do it with Liverpool as, over the last years, they have been getting worse, worse and worse. The Liverpool of 2004 was better than the Liverpool of 2005, 2005 was better than 2006 and 2006 better than 2007.

On Anders Frisk and Frank Rijkaard

When I saw Rijkaard entering the referee's dressing room I couldn't believe it. When Drogba was sent off I didn't get surprised.

On referee Wolfgang Stark (After Champions League first knock-out stage, first leg tie in Lyon)

I was 50 yards away and I could see it. He (Stark) was five yards away with all his assistants and he didn't. I don't understand. It could still be decisive in the tie. I just hope it won't be.

On Stark and fellow referees, who he claims conspire in Barcelona's favour

I can't say what I feel. I only leave one question. Why? Why? Ovrebo, Busacca, Frisk, Stark? Why to all these people?

Did he say that before or during they were together at Madrid?

I agree with your point (taking away all the harshness of it).

But at least be respectful of the man.

If you want to get respect, you first have to show respect.

And this man does not show it, regardless what he has done for the club.

Respect is what Carlo is doing. Despite how the media treats him, how the board treat him after Ray, Carlo still shows coolness. That is respect for me!

I think his success at the club earns him respect.. If it doesn't, I don't know what will.

Yes just like SAF earn respect.

But just because of that, it doesn't mean i have to put with his nonsense do I?

SAF and Mourinho are probably the best coaches i seen, but are also the most hypocrites arrogant coaches i seen. They don't respect!

It is why i say ignored what these guys say. Because it's always hypocritical what they have to say.

They may be arrogant & hypocritical.

But they do deserve respect. Okay when they do pull stunts like that I understand why you feel they cannot be respected. But you have to remember this is football. If you ignore all the media and press conferences and interviews ect. We must respect these 2 as football coaches. For all they have given for their clubs & all the success they have accumulated.

And like LDN wrote up there, as hypocrite as they are, they deserved respect.

But like i keep saying, there is no point in listening to their press conference, because it will be fill of hypocrisy nonetheless.

Respect them for what they done at their clubs, but not for what they say.

The reason why Sir Alex and José are hated is because they're not prepared to suffer fools gladly (that being said, who the hell does suffer fools gladly?) and will always say what is on their mind. I respect that.

Exactly.

Socrates would be envious of the majority of Jose's quotes, he's the most intelligent manager in the game.

No the problem is here, that some people hate SAF because of what he says, but turn a blind eye against Mourinho.

That is double standard, and i don't like. If you are going to criticize SAF for what he says in trying to influence the refs, then the same hold for Mourinho.

For me, i told you what i feel. I respect both of them for that they done in the field. But when it comes to what they say in conferences and thing, don't bother hearing.
