I think if we were going to do 4-1-4-1 then Jose would have implemented it with the players we already had, so that the team aren't changing system once the season has already started. That, essentially, is what pre-season is for.

So SSN reported last night that the fee we're paying for willian is actually around 25 million, much lower than the fee Anzhi accepted from spurs. Still a lot of money to spend unnecessarily but certainly makes me feel a lot better.

A bit of a waste IMO, but if the transfer market keeps going in the direction it's currently going, he could be worth twice that after two great seasons. It just pains me to know any Willian success will come at the cost of developing de Bruyne who is just dripping with potential.
