Ballack A Revelation At Chelsea

I think that he has more freedom when there is no lampard. he can move from right to left on flanks, to box more often. It is hard to say or admit but i think Lampard is limiting Ballack.

He has done well lest season and we missed him badly in CL.

Without lampard, the mainstay of Chelsea Midfield for last 4-5 seasons, Ballack has been getting alot of balls and has the liberty to mover around in the midfield and command the midfield. When lampard comes, Lampard will take over the responsibilty and thus will get more balls to play around, and Ballack will once again go into a bit of a shell. But I must admit.......Ballack is better than Lamps when it comes to free kicks. No Bloody Doubt about it. His important free kicks against Everton, last season, against Aston villa this season, has saved us from losing. Lampard on the other hand hasnt scored much in last couple of yrs from free kicks. but he is good at thos pile drivers from outside the box.

He was a lazy cunt to be fair though.

Lol, is that a Lineker quote ? :) Quite a lot have been called that -Ray Wilkins, Hasselbaink etc to start with. Bundesliga and Europen football in general has always been about slow, slow, quick -the patient build up. Hes adapted now, the cerebral Ballack replaced with the action man, and it seems Shevchenko might have turned the corner as well.

Absolutely, he said himself last season the pace of the premiership took him by surprise but we'd worked that out for ourselves once he'd spent the first half of the season auditioning for a place in Next's window. He's looked much more like the player we expected since coming back from injury though, definitely more Action Man than Barbie's Ken now. Hopefully this 'calf strain' isnt anything to worry him. Be good to see Sheva sort his injury out and get in a few games before Drogba gets back as well, he definitely seemed up for it.

I hope Lampard realises he wont just walk back into the team now. After the abuse Ballack took last season from just about everyone he has proved himself this year brilliantly getting himself fit and showing the Chelsea faithful why hes still one of the best midfielders in the game!
