Hi Lads

Sunderland fan here in peace. wave.gif

How do you think it will go on Tuesday - are you confident you can get a result? The bookies are, you can get 5/1 for Sunderland angry.gif

Sorry to say it but it looks like our result at your place started the rot for you. I'm hoping we can get a result as we're a bit shy on the striker front. Bruce has said he's not buying anyone - we've only got 6 games in the next 2 months and then Wellbeck and Frazier Campbell will be back. Looks like he's going to play Sessegnon up front with Gyan if we can get him in time. I'm hoping we can keep it together and keep 6th spot - hopefully enough for me to start dusting off me passport.

Anyway, are there any pubs in London showing the game (if you know what I mean) - I'm down here for a few months and won't be able to get to the game (ST holder at the SOL).

Jack

Welcome to the forum mate.

Straight off, I like Sunderland ;)

Re the match, I think it's tough to call. With Ancelotti looking to play the strongest possible side today in the Everton game, it would mean our regulars will be a bit tired by the time Tuesday rolls around, having played 2 on the bounce. And it's away for us as well so I'd reckon it's 55-45 to Sunderland.

Wish luck to you guys, it'd be good to see you lot in Europe next season. Anyone that keeps Liverpool out of it is good enough for me laugh.gif

I Think we'll win (tongue in cheek) lol.

Good luck in Europe mate, if you make Europe and Liverpool miss out, i'll love it.

Good luck with the rest of Sunderland's season, hope all goes well for (obviously not against us though) lol.

Welcome to Talkchelsea.net,

Stick Around mate.

It's always nice to have other teams fans on board,

Bit of banter never goes a miss!

Stick around, and enjoy :)

Cheers lads, I'll definitely pop back (especially if we win) whistling.gif

I don't sense a lot of love for the scousers - they remind me of the deluded black and whites. They think they're "special" and no-one understands them.

 who would love the scousers let's be honest mate lol

So are you guys getting Muntari? (Or did you get him already? I'm unaware lol)

Bruce was in London yesterday trying to sort out his visa application. Apparently he there's a problem cos he hasn't played enough Internationals - Bruce is going to put the case that it's because he was in dispute with the manager. He looks a good signing but might have "Chimbonda" tendancies carloeyebrow.jpeg

That Sessegnon looks canny mind http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4jcPf1lKfWM&NR=1

Muntari could be a gem for Sunderland tbh.

Ive always heard good things about Sessegnon, should be good signing for you. Sessegnon and Gyan up front sounds interesting.

Do no pubs show the "hurdy gurdy" channels (if you know what I mean). I can get to see all the SAFC away games at my local whistling.gif

I'm meeting a mate (Boro fan) in Central London for a few on Tuesday and was wanting to sicken him.

Welcome to the forum.

I'd like to congratulate you on not trolling, first and foremost. It doesn't occur that often, but every now and again we get either a bitter Liverpool or Arsenal fan coming on here and trolling... I imagine its because neither of them have won anything in the last five-six seasons?

In terms of the Sunderland away match, I certainly don't think the odds should be in favour of Chelsea, especially considering the 3-0 drubbing at home we suffered by you lot (which is the best away performance by a team I've seen at Stamford Bridge for a very, very long time - congratulations), which would have been 5-0 or 6-0 had Cech not been playing. However we have no doubt improved since then, and should we manage another positive result before we play you, we will certainly be a more difficult proposition.

That being said, the game will be impossible to call. It will be 1-0 to either team.

I simply have to ask - how do you feel about Bent to Villa? Does the money make it worthwhile? Or is there bitterness?

We're a lot less bothered than the media make out. The problem I've got is we swallowed all the badge-kissing s**t from him - how he "understood us" (christ I sound like a scouser or geordie!). Truth is, I didn't want to believe all the yid stuff about him needing 10 chances per goal etc, and how he "just scores goals" - but it's actually true. I was sitting with a mate at the SOL watching the mag game a couple of weeks ago and told him to watch Bent - he wasn't even trying to outjump Williamson and Collocini. Ameobi looked twice the player ffs!

I'm glad he came - glad he's gone.

and aye - there's bitterness.sad.gif

Touché. My point is that Sunderland, unlike the likes of Liverpool, Newcastle and so on, don't think they have a right to win trophies, and nor should they expect them. No team has a right to win competitions.

Agreed, but I've been a regular since 1980 and it would have been nice to have won something in that time.

I was even at the Milk Cup semi at Stamford Bridge in 85 (chelsea end - I was living in London as a student unsure.gif)

But you're right with the mags - they think football was invented in 1992 when Keegan came.

Mind - you're not very popular on here http://www.redandwhitekop.com/forum/index.php?topic=270074.0 rolleyes.gif

My uncle and grandad used to - said he was a genius. Me grandad said he once rounded the keeper at the Fulwell end and then played the ball off the post a few times before knocking it in. Christ - Bruce dropped Malbranque for grabbing the ball and missing a pen!

In his book he had a chapter entitled "what football Directors know about football" and the page was blank.
