How is kakuta over rated ?. I still have huge faith in Gael and i know his quality, just because a player is going through a bad patch on and off the field does not make him talentless over night.

I have faith in him too, I never said he's talentless.

Fact is though, a lot of us are overhyping him, which is something he doesn't deserve, considering the performances he's put in this season when given a chance.

What you have to understand is a lot of things is going through Gael's head at the moment he really is at a cross roads.

I dont know Piazon, who is a white guy. This Lucas, the mulatto, I dont think he is that good. He played some matchs for São Paulo, scored some goals, and then a little buzz started around him. You watched some highlights, but hes not as good as you might think. Thats why I say Neymar is a different guy. We used to watch lots of boys like Lucas, who end up only as decent player in midle table european clubs. ( Nilmar, Thiago Neves, Renato Augusto, Luis Fabiano, Liverpool's Lucas, Henrique...).

Brazilian league is at the same level russian or dutch league is. If you see a guy scoring hundred of goals or doing amazing things in these leagues, it doesnt mean they are good enough to do the same in Premier League. Like Afonso Alves, the brazilian who is garbage and were top scorer in Eredivise, or Jô, who used to score many goal in Russia, but is only an avarage striker in Premier League.

Neymar is special, Lucas is not.

Very good post. I don't think many people recognise the Eredivise and Russian league is nothing compared to the Premier League or La Liga. Which is why I don't get excited about players like Suarez and co. There are few exceptions like Robben, Van Nistelrooy, Krasic. But the majority of "amazing" players in those leagues are just average players in our league.

Growing up in Brazil you will of course be able to identify the really good players from the average ones. So I trust your praises of Neymar 100%.

In the Brasilian league, the matches that I followed, I noticed that Lucas played much better than Neymar (he dives often too)..

Honestly, I do not expect much from Neymar, for me it will be a new Robinho 2.0.

I did not notice anything special in this kid and about Lucas I think he is a wonderkid.

Apparently we are close to signing the 16 year old, 6ml...steep but maybe they see a lot of talent in him. Us being Juve.

It seems that we also will end up with Piazon...poor Juve, lol.

I wonder what Ramires would tell Neymar if he was asked about our club. I live in the U.S so I cant really make that call, but from what I've seen, Ramires actually looks a little depressed being in london (very understandable, he doesnt speak the language, doesnt know anyone, and is here by himself) but hes working hard to fit in and I think even he knows that when he is settled, he will love it here. I hope you are treating him well!

He has Alex. Also Bosingwa and Ferreira speak portugese.. I think neymar is a talented young lad, but would be as useless as tits on a bull at Chelsea.. Neymar needs room in the box and the way teams play against us, neymar wouldn't touch the ball. Sad to say, but he would suit arsenal or united more.. Unless we change our formation and game play, players like kakuta, borini and neymar will suffer at our club...

I guess if we weren't in this bloody crisis, and if so many supporter weren't insulting him, he would feel better.

^ what he said.

The claim he looks depressed is a bit far-fetched. He looks lively on the pitch, he's determined to prove wrong the people who have already written him off. The Stamford Bridge faithful cheered for him yesterday.. That would've helped his confidence a lot. He knows most fans will not pass judgement until next season at least, he will appreciate this. Just ask Drogba & Malouda.

I actually really started liking Ramires on a past few matches. He's just never giving up and constantly running around and battling. He may need some time to fit in but he's a great player imo. I like our middle much more when he's playing alongside Lampard and Essien instead of slow paced Mikel.

And I gotta agree with above's posts, Neymar is a good player, but he simply isn't strong enough for PL, and he has yet to prove himself, though I'd still like us to get him, but I have a feel Real or Barcelona are gonna snatch him.

FIFA agreed with me hahaha, I said that Lucas is one of the most promising players in the world and after this, his name appeared in the related post on the FIFA website Source.

Any News on Neymar?

News, maybe after he come back from the u-20 national team!
