Its pretty much been buggered for the last few months. As basically the hard disk (according to the warning messages my laptop keeps sending) is not working properly and at any time could be completely corrupted. Have not found the money to replace or repair it yet. Although its today where the air vents have become incredibly hot and it smells like its burning.

Yup, definitely the fan. It should have been replaced before it damaged the hard disk. The fan and the hard disk need replacing now and like Ankit suggested, get a cooling pad, they really help.

PS: Back up your important data because your hard-disk sounds like it stop working any day.

Since we are talking about computer problems...

About a month ago i started getting some server busy error on startup:

Got annoying so i went through and uninstalled some programs i didn't think i needed.

But since then, whenever i connect my usb to it, it shows up but i used to click the symbol and then safely remove it. Wheras that option has now disappeared.

Also if i connect my phone, it doesn't show up at all, and i can't connect it with bluetooth either now so have to do any file transfers through drobbox.

Any advice lads, and ladies?

Himalayas are pretty god damn big.Do you have any specific place in mind? I live nearby to the foothills of Himalayas which are known as Shivalik Hills.

It looks like you've accidentally uninstalled the driver of your USB port. You should be able to go to the website of your laptop's brand and download it and install it again.

That should solve your USB problem, have no idea about the 'Server Busy' issue.
