the wes 7,212
PETR CECH has launched a bitter attack on the Chelsea boo-boys. The keeper is furious with home fans who jeered after the 3-3 draw with Everton. Cech said: "I was very surprised to hear the boos from the crowd because this was our first Premier League draw at home all season. "Look at the games we have played here, in the league, the Champions League and the Carling Cup and you will see all the clean sheets we have kept and all the goals we have scored. "So I was really surprised to hear the supporters' reaction. Surprised because I don't understand it." Cech insists he should not be singled out for blame - despite all three Everton goals coming from set-plays. He said: "We lost a lot of the first headers. But it is not an individual responsibility at set-plays. It is collective." EskWeston 696
I agree with him, booing your own team is bad enough. But to boo in those circumstances was just terrible, i thought the team played pretty good and again we got unlucky with some freak goals, it happens and lets hope our run of bad luck has come to an end... Can only think they were tourists or JCLs.
Rubber bullets 1,183
Unfortunately goalkeepers always get blamed for defensive errors, I know that from experience. Edited December 14, 2009 by sam81292

BlueLion. 21,491
Booing is terrible to be honest. Fair enough it was frustrating and we were all angry, but I thought that it was one of the best team performances at home this season, along with Wolves. Cameron 30
However "good" the performance - the result was absolutely terrible.

EskWeston 696
That's football for you.Exactly, we played some very good stuff and a few things go against you and suddenly you find yourself at 3 - 3 it happens and we need to give the team support and not act like spoilt children because we don't win every single game... BlueLion. 21,491
In your opinion, although you must have been watching a different game to the rest of us. We played well and deserved to win the game, but like I say, that's football for you.

Concedeing to three set pieces at home and going up twice and only coming away with a point is awful. Our defensive was non-existant and the midfielders played poorly (bar Mikel). Don't patronise me with the whole "watching a different game" - some people have different opinions on others - and even if we did attack well it doesn't give us some God given right to deserve the victory, because Everton defended excellently. The defence of Neill, Hibbert, Heitinga and Baines (although did well when it counted) - leave off! We scored three good goals, and had to be bailed out by Drogba. We didn't deserve to win on the basis that our defensive work was appalling.Fluke goals - I couldn't care less. Everton put three past us without having to do much attacking work at all.
