Benjh 0
Hey Mates,I'm a lifelong supporter living in the US, and I'mhappy to report I'll attend my first game ever on 28th October, vsBolton for the Carling Cup.I'm wondering a few things:1-What kind of atmosphere to expect? I'm guessing the carling cup vsBolton is not quite the same than the PL vs MU or Arsenal, but still. Will it be packed? Lots of ST holders?2- Which stand to buy my tickets for? I want to sit in the stand with the best crowd. Is lower better than upper?Other thoughts? Can't wait to be there!

ChelseaChick 430
2- Which stand to buy my tickets for? I want to sit in the stand with the best crowd. Is lower better than upper?Dont go to the west stand upper. I had to sit there as part of the package deal and i never want to sit there again. It was like watchin it on telly..the only pple actually interested in the game where me my dad and like two other men behind us! There was just no atmosphere in that stand! The matthew harding looks like the best one
Ray. 217
For me it's got to be Matthew Harding Lower. If you want the atmosphere with the singing then i'd say that MH Lower is a good place to start. I've not been in the Shed End, but I know a lot people say that's just a good for atmosphere as anywhere. I think just being at the Bridge is special and there's something about being there for the first time, it stays with you forever. I'd recommend you go on a tour while you're over here as it'll give you a good idea of what the ground is like and a insight of what goes on behind the scenes. They're very easy to get on to and run on a regular basis, bookable through the club.

Ray. 217
that's ok. I'm not sure about restricted views as i have been sitting in different parts of matthew harding lower. I think row p might be ok. I'm still finding my feet as i've only been a member since june/july this year

That's why I've now moved to Matthew Harding where I feel more comfortable and I can sing my heart out.

Laylabelle 9,535
Yeh best atmosphere defo Shed either upper or lower and Matthew Harding.Though have found as late the lower more singy songy then the upperEast aint always that bad.Sat there for Spurs and Liverpool game and compared to usual was very lively.Saying that was sitting in nearest the MH end rather then the away fan sideSat in the East Lower 'family sec' for Barca and defo one of the best atmopsheres in that bit.Think cause really it was less family fied and how imporant the game was but wouldnt object to sitting there again that was just mental timesWest..yeh..that one can be crazy sat there think twice and was v quiet other then a guy who would not shut up about how bad SWP was lol. When I go to the Proms at the RAH, the restricted view tickets (having a post in front of you) are cheaper than the stalls which are the good seats.
