Cavani dreaming of Blues switch

Uruguay striker Edison Cavani has voiced his ambitions to one day leave Palermo in order to play for Chelsea or Juventus.Cavani has been a big hit at the Rosanero since his move to Seria A from his homeland club Danubio in 2007.

The 22-year-old has seen former teammate Amauri move on togreater things with title chasers Juventus after a successful stint atStadio Renzo Barbera, and he revealed his desire to follow in theBrazilian's footsteps.

He said: "I want to play at Chelsea or Juventus. Palermo isgoing to be the trampoline that will launch me because I want to playin a giant team in the same way my idle Amauri did."

Despite revealing his ambitious desires, the Uruguayinternational has assured Palermo fans they are long-term targets andthat he is currently happy at the club.

"I am fine at Palermo but in the future I would like to play ata giant European team and if I could chose I would like to do it atChelsea or Juventus," he added.

I watched him play a few days ago and he impressed me alot, Would be a great signing in my opinion. I know we have Di Santo, Sturridge and Borini coming through the ranks but this kid is 22 and played really good against Juventus.

Its currently not possible but the ban may be lifted still and even if we did go after him after the ban he will still only be 24.

Let's hope so. Do we know when the decision is due or is it now set in stone?

Yeah, and he'll get a lot more first team experience at Palermo. He'll be 3rd/4th here after Anelka and DD.

Currently he will be yes, but if we do get the transfer ban lifted i say sign him asap. Reasons for this is because my second club juventus are after him too. As you can see he has a bright future ahead of him and i think he would suit us very well.

He's actually 22, not 24 mate.

Full name is Edinson Roberto Cavani Gomez.

42 career goals.

1 for Uruguay, 10 for Uruguay U20's, 22 for Palermo, 9 for Danubio (who he came through the youth system with)

He's nicknamed El Matador n i think hes 6ft1

think ive got that all right, lol.
