Definitely agree.

Slightly think they did well with Munaf, he's much better with a cut-pace and better line and length. Hopefully (he said, with a pinch of salt) under Fletcher we will see some genuine pace bowling. The one thing he did well with England was keep the pace bowlers, pacy. The likes of Harmison, Jones and even Hoggard who could reach the 89mph mark.

Depends how much lee-way he's actually allowed under this BCCI. For some reason they don't know the difference between being a cricket BOARD and being COACHES.

Speaking of McGrath just remembered Avishkar Salvi LOL. Guy got picked for a Bangladesh ODI tour right after 2003 WC, picked up some wickets and never came back haha. Copybook McGrath action too. Random lol.

Sorry, went off on a tangent :D

I remember him. He got injured and never returned. Nothin wrong with copying actions. Remember the Sri Lankan bowler who had a Waqar Younis action? Our very own Kumble copying the great Chandrashekhar. Even I started off as a legspinner at age 9 with a Shane Warne action and still maintain it. ;)

Not saying there's anything wrong with it, just it's so obvious the guy had spent probably hundreds of hours watching McGrath. Definitely the greatest bowler of the last 20 years. Yep, I rate him above Wasim, Donald, Walsh, Ambrose, Pollock.

Turning back to India, think that lad Manish Pandey deserves a chance. Him and Manoj Tiwari would be great in the middle order. Yuvraj needs to be asked to perform or perish, we've handed him the long rope often enough. Ditto Harbhajan. I fear Ashwin might stagnate because we consistently overlook him in Harbhajan's favour. Shame Cheteshwar Pujara got injured, really like the look of him and think he'll be a natural successor to Dravid in the long run.

Definitely agree with this post, especially about Ashwin.

Fantastic bowler with great variation and turn, can't believe how down the pecking order he is. I mean I can understand being behind Mishra, because he's actually done well in the game he's been called upon, but behind Chawla?!

India has to give this kid his break now, otherwise they may lose another gem, waiting behind a bowler who's not doing so well at the top. When we tour Australia next, I fully expect us to have 2 spinners in our squad, and that doesn't include Yuvraj as one.

Hopefully that series will give us a good chance to redeem some pride :)

We'll do better in Australia I feel. Purely down to the fact that Australia has tracks which offer good bounce and pace but not pronounced swing and seam movement, the kind which the batsmen got found out by in England. Plus SCG is as close as you can get to an Indian wicket outside of India.

Meh ... look at the injury list - Sehwag, Gambhir, Tendulkar, Yuvraj, Rohit, Harbhajan, Zaheer, Ishant. Only 4 of the WC winning squad still standing.

Fucking IPL. Bet these 'superstars' will be back making a buck in that ridiculous champions league tournament.

I can't believe who decimated the India squad is at the moment.

It isn't just the bowling, it's the batting as well. England are so dominant they could ball India out using bhajis and out-bat them using a French stick.

LMAO it's so true -_-

I seriously hope we have a much better tour of AUS so we can kick your asses when you come over for your ODI tour in the winter!

Edit: I just realised that ODI tour is first.. Oh dear.

Different conditions on the subcontinent and you will hopefully have your strongest selection available.

Yeah, I really wanna see India vs England properly. I mean even if you'd beat us 4-0 but we gave you ago, we would've been much happier.

You just wait till the WC :D

Precisely, that has taken something away from the victory in the grand scheme of things in my opinion!

Took three quarters of the tour, but finally we show some character. 234 is very manageable for England nevertheless, I'm not very optimistic. Early wickets always have the funny habit of changing games and fortunes, so Praveen Kumar will be crucial.

Going well so far

Test: 4-0

T20: 1-0

ODI's: 2-0 atm

:D

And Surrey are in the CB40 Final against Somerset next saturday, 'mon the Lions! Think Somerset will beat us tho, they're kinda due to win a final after like losing their last 3 or 4.
