I think we will win the Premiership. I disagree with badboy saying that we lack pace when Essien, Zhirkov, Malouda, Anelka, A.Cole and Bosingwa are all fast players. Our defence is our main worry, JT is not what he used to be but I'm hoping Alex/Carvalho will be playing well when there played. Our midfield is arguably the best in the world. Zhirkov, Malouda, Essien, Lampard, Ballack, Deco and Joe Cole is a fantastic midfield, We can rotate alot which will make the players fresher and hungrier. I thought last season that we lacked competition for places which won't happen this season. Our strikers, Drogba, Anelka, Sturridge, Di Santo and Kalou are quality. I think Drogba will have a great season this season, Sturridge has already looked promising, Di Santo will hopefully get games and do well in them and Kalou is hot and cold but if we play him at the right time can be deadly.

The Champions League is always the main goal, We have a man in charge that has won it twice and with the squad that we have I feel that we can rest players before the main games. I feel that ithis is our best chance to win the league and Champions League in a long time.

I mean attacking pace, torres ronaldo kaka type attacking pace, the players you mentioned have pace yes but how many of them are attackers. Anelka has brilliant pace but thats not enough, we need one more player with a turn of pace. Aguero is the best option, sturridge has

a really good turn of speed and that will help us when defenders get tired of drogba and anelka for 80 mins then they have sturridge off the bench.

I think that we can bring Di Santo and Sturridge off the bench when the defenders are tired, But I don't think our team lacks pace.

TBH, I think we might get to win EPL.

Man Utd isn't that great after Ronaldo left... the "fear" factor of the team is kinda gone.

Liverpool is one to watch out for though... but to be honest, if Alonso is leaving, it will just be open chance for Chelsea to clinch EPL!!!

I reckon we will win the PL this season, Liverpool will probably be more of a threat then Man Utd. I don't think we will ever win the CL, we've just had so much bad luck its untrue. I think there is a conspiricy that UEFA don't want us to win it.

Although I am not a great one for long term conspiracy theories I think sometimes an individual match can have a preferred result for UEFA. Certainly the Chelsea/Barcelona semi final must have had huge financial pressure to widen the finals interest in continental Europe, & for the Spanish side to go through, to stop the final being an all British affair. We were just unlucky that the draw meant we were the team to be sacrificed to the spectacle, next year it could be someone else that gets the short straw. Luck always changes in the long term so we are due for a lucky break in the CL sometime, I think it will be this next year that we finally win it.
