I cant understand why they have to have the Afcon ever two years? No other confederation does this that i am aware of? Its a bit ridiculous. The reason why it is in January is not for the weather but because it is at the end of the African football season.The same reason why Euro is played in June.

They do it because they do. In the end, International football either has to take precedence whatever they decide to do. If not, they may as well limit International football to amateurs, and that would kill it.
