BlueLion. 21,491
How often, as a manager, do you just take off two players when you are four goals up and replace them with players who can be just as effective and expect to concede three goals? No blame lies with Hiddink, just with the players in my opinion. I agree with you in that point, but lost our entire attacking threat when both players went off. I think for that reason it was bad tactics, BUT if you can't take off your best players when 4-0 up, when can you? We lost our organisation as an attacking force and that cost us as Bolton played much higher up the pitch, but as you say, we were fucking shocking in the last 20 minutes. Its a shame, because it was one of our best displays at the Bridge this season until then.

Kez 2,727
Well that was a risky game! 4-0 up i didnt expect them to get 3. But 3 points is 3 points
Joe Cool 388
You know, this really scares me for the Liverpool Game: * Cech having a bad last 20 minutes * very sloppy defending * 3 coals conceded in the space of 10 minutes * No John Terry Liverpool are going to have a field day! You forget that we will have Essien, Lampard, and Drogba

diskoviolente 425
You can´t expect such great performances of a player game in game out, if you ask me. I know, lots of people see this different because of all the money they are paid and so on. BUT better Cech having bad 20 minutes in a league game we won as in a CL game. I take the three Bolton-goals as the price to pay for knocking out Liverpool. Cech will know he wasn´t at his best, but he will focus on tuesday and be up again and jump through the box like a fucking mad man !
.sum41 229
In these 3 goals Cech is guilty not only, yes,he must be play better, but Terry and Carvalho also play bad in last 20 minutes... Edited April 12, 2009 by Gleb

Spot on. I think if Alex would have been in Riccy's position for Bolton's second goal, he'd have won the ball instead of Davies heading it back in. Riccy and JT really had poor games as well IMO. To say it is Cech's fault entirely is wrong, he made one mistake which led to a goal IMO, although he didn't cover himself in glory on the other two occassions. On another day, O'Brien would have been flagged offside, and on another day Riccy might have headed the ball out. Just one of those games, I suppose. Alee. 182
I guess it can act as a "Wake up call" for the team before the Liverpool match then, no harm done really.

A W is a W and I really am thinking like you all. It was a good win that woke our team up about taking our foot off the gas. I loved the way we attacked early, I still like our defense, and I think we will be ready to snap back to the Reds in 2 days
Laylabelle 9,535
I know you should be able to make subs 4-0 up and not expect that but hey.I think we've got it all out the way for Tues and bloody hope so!!I cant see Guss letting them get away with it and have a yell etc and realise where it went wrong.
