Regarding last season, that was in a very direct and counter-attacking style which is vastly different from what the new manager does (which is the reason he was hired). He was also used in the toughest matches, and was rested during the easy ones... stats are fun.

Enzo was bought as arguably one of the best CMs for huge money, at least on the young side. I don't understand why he plays as a CAM for us, so that's a problem the manager has to sort out.
He's far more skillful than Caicedo, and I think he will play a much bigger part this season knowing what the manager seeks in terms of characteristics.

Not sure, personally I think he's crap, he's shown nothing so far apart from a few decent long balls, he's pretty slow, gets caught in possession alot, can't really tackle and players run past him far to easy, stick him in CAM like yesterday and he was clueless, got in the way, Lukaku like first touch twice! If he's to stay he has to show 20x more than he has shown so far.

Yes he's struggling, but first touch, being slow, all could be because he's playing in a very contested area with very little time one the ball; he needs to be thinking about what to do before applying the first touch. He plays very well as a CM for Argentina where he's an excellent tackler.
Move Caicedo do CAM to see how he'd do eh. Was Conor good at CAM? He was pretty bad too.

Non should be cam, leave that to Felix neto Palmer nkunku, Enzo may play better with time on the ball, he won't get that in this league, he probably is a really good player with time but if that's the case he isn't prem material

Maybe, but I don't think we have that information just yet. He's been mostly employed in a more advanced position, where any player would have less time of the ball. A CAM also needs to play with his back at the opposition goal at times, and he's better doing the b2b. The new manager employs the positional game, so I expect a lot of changes in the next matches.

There have been reports stating that he has asked to play in a CAM role; if so, the club/manager should dissuade him of that idea, and if not possible sell him.

He asked poch the same thing, Enzo doesn't even know his best position in this case then, so even he doesn't think he's a deep lying midfielder..... If he's asked 2 managers now to play him CAM! He clearly doesn't believe he's what we all want him to be, and if he doesn't believe it, he will never be happy there or thrive.

Well that's the strange part: he seems pretty happy doing the dirty work and running his socks off for Argentina. 🤷‍♂️
Still, from what I heard about Maresca, we should expect drastic changes going forward.

No, that’s been touched on. Better players tend to reserve their better performances for either of the sides set up better - club, or international. The club is tumultuous. You don’t run for it. You do for Argentina. You respect the people there. Most clubs have tapped in to sport psychology since 2014. CFC both regimes still yet to. Once we do, fans will consider it more I hope. I presume the rugby guy we hired for good vibes policy is not that.

I think Enzo wont be cam against wolves because the setup versus city is not Maresca's usual tactics. I think he will have lavia and moises or enzo besides him, who will be a supporting amf with our starting cam.

My point is that i believe maresca will change his setups and lineups depending who we play against

I said I was not going to write anything in this City thread because of the team's alleged unreadiness, or unreadiness.
But this is about Taylor.
First of all when we were still under Abramovitch the club had requested not to be refereed by Anthony Taylor again. What happened to that ?

Now about Sunday:

1st) Jackson goal. Jackson's goal was offside. Where he stands half of his body is beyond the line and the rebound does not cancel the offside. The opposition player has to play the ball intentionally to cancel the offside.
2n) Enzo, Enzo is brought down inside the area from behind. It was a police against demonstrator situation and Taylor waves play on.
3d) Kovacic's hand ball. That was an outstretched arm, same as last year in the Etihad. That should have been given was the verdict and the same applies for Sunday's match. Taylor again waves play on.

Evidently this man is not an ... Altrincham fan but a sworn enemy of Chelsea football club.

Are you happy with Nkunku ?
I was the first who spotted him -privately that is- when he was playing for Leipzig and I was when happy Chelsea began negotiations.
Slight worries because Timo Werner came from the same team and he did n't make it, but I dismissed those.
Now he is not proving a new Diego.
Jackson is a new Remy or a new Bats but where is Nkunku's scoring

If you did your research you would find that the handball rule has changed, players no longer have to defend with there arms behind there back, and are encouraged to have there arms free, point blank hand balls won't be given now,

There are the unintentional hand balls.
The record case was in one Chelsea v. Man. United at the bridge. Terry heads the ball and it's going straight in but it's stopped by the arm of a United player. Only the United player was looking the other way when the ball found him. It was not given - we did not even complain about it.
Then they started giving all and sundry as hand balls. Liverpool - Spurs champions league final, the 1-0 was one such - unintentional hand ball given as a pen from which Pool scored.
Now it's "we the Vlachs, when it chances".
So we have to take Kovacic to the Yard and if he confesses then it's a pen.
What about the free kick the citizens stopped with theIr hands last season. That too was n't ?
