the wes 7,212
ROMAN ABRAMOVICH is ready to dip back into his pocket to restore Chelsea’s Premier League supremacy. And it’s another clear indication that Guus Hiddink could yet be the long-term boss at Stamford Bridge. Chief executive Peter Kenyon has said future signings would have to be generated by sales as the club aims to become self-sufficient. But Hiddink’s arrival as manager has restored Abramovich’s appetite for the game and he has already sounded out senior figures in the game — at home and abroad — about summer transfer targets. The Chelsea owner would be unlikely to line up big-name signings without knowing the long-term managerial situation. And reports last week suggested Dick Advocaat was already being lined up as Hiddink’s replacement as boss of Russia. Abramovich has been at Hiddink’s side since he arrived in London — and now he is ready to tempt the Dutchman by offering him a huge summer transfer kitty. TrueChelseaBlue 105
tbh, i hope we sign one world class player, sell a few.. and give our youth a chance, Stoch needs a hell of a lot more playing time imo. He's shone every time he's had the chance.
